Reviews of Belfast Books

Simply put the best used books shop in Belfast and probably the whole of Northern Ireland. To be honest I find more gems here than any of the big chain bookstores. That alone deserves 5 stars but when you add the friendliness, knowledge of the owners and their love of community 5 stars isn’t really enough.

I've bought books from these guys and I have to say, they're just pure lovely!!!
Got some great selection, and cheaper than the big chains and online super-conglomerates.
I've bought more books than you can shake a stick at over the years, and this one is right up there as one of the best book-buying experiences.

Brilliant wee book shop with so much to offer an eager eye. Every genre available to delve into. Oh!! If you peruse the reviews, ignore the one star trolls who have an agenda. Only way to find out for yourself is to visit. Friendly conversation and banter, you might even get a coffee 👍👍

Belfast Books have shipped books to me in the US a number of times. And every single time the service has been incredible. Anytime I’m looking for a book that isn’t available in the US they’re my go to.

Have been meaning to visit this shop for some time. Browsers paradise and has the service that only independent book shops can provide. Hope they are able to expand upstairs.

Haven't had a chance yet to visit the shop but have bought from it online, and there's a great range, excellent offers and the customer service is faultless.

Purchased online from this local store as I don’t get up to Belfast often but wanted to support a local business during Covid and I follow them on Twitter. I really can’t praise them enough. Fantastic personal service and so friendly. Free and very fast delivery and competitive prices. Highly recommended.

Very informative staff, real credit to the community. I have been converted to the online store which has very efficient service.

One of those great bookshops where you just never know what treasure you'll unearth.
Put aside at least an hour to study the shelves/stacks!

Brilliant local bookshop stocking a great range of Troubles-related books that will help educate society.

I have not seen a bookshop like this for quite sometime, literally a mountain of books !! Go in with an open mind, and have a hoke around, doubt you will come out empty-handed. Run by volunteers, warm welcome and prices fit to match any big brand bookstore.

It was 2 years ago and I wanted to buy my sister a collection of books she'd read as a teenager based in Belfast, I was only able to get 3 outta 5 on Amazon, however Belfast Books, they got me the remainder, what a brilliant read when you are from Belfast.
Joan Lingard, short but brilliant.
Thanks

One of my favorite shops in Belfast, staff is always friendly and helpful and the coffee shop is just everything. The perfect place for a chat with your friends or just getting lost in all the amazing books. 📚❤️

Brilliant wee book shop that has a vast array of literature. The power of writing freedom is evident by the contents... Lots of reviews from people with negative comments because the freedom in writing seems to not run parallel with freedom of speech.. bravo Belfast books 👍

A great wee bookshop on York Road. Even a short visit is time well spent but best to follow them on Twitter or their website as opening hours can vary.
