Honestly what a fabulous treat!! We booked into one of the awesome pods outside and it was so cute and nice to have a private booth where we could all chat. The staff were prompt, friendly and helpful in advising us of allergy concerns. The food, just incredible! I would recommend the soup buns that were filled with a delicious chicken broth and burst in your mouth :) we ordered a few different plates between us and it was surprisingly filling! The cocktails were also delicious and do non alcoholic versions that according to my sister were very tasty :) A last little note was that I loved the fact that the Vietnamese coffee I ordered came in the authentic Vietnamese coffee maker which reminded me of my travels around there :) 10/10 will be back again!

A hidden gem for Asian goodies. Lunch sets very reasonably priced and allows you to try several dishes at the same time. Deep fried chicken and spring rolls were both good, while the Taiwanese beef noodles and korean style Bibimbap were amazing. Very friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely come back to try their steamed buns later 👍

Took a while to have our order taken/be served despite being the first ones through the door @ 5pm and hard to hear conversation at such a busy time. Food was good but as other people have said, wish the dumplings had more filling. Also some of the ‘small dishes’ on the menu are actually more like main course portions instead of tapas which would usually be great but as a result we over ordered LOL (pics to show size). To be honest think it’s a tad overpriced as is. The non alcoholic cocktails were fantastic.

Really wasn't sure if this new restaurant would be more style over substance? Over priced for Belfast? Or just over hyped because it's new. None of the above. Excellent staff, especially the host makes you feel very welcome, an extensive menu with plenty for all tastes, and no more expensive than certain chain restaurants offering similar ideas. The dumplings (steamed or fried) were good, but the bao buns (duck) waow... Every bite was a treat. And the beef soup noodles, amazing. The most tender beef and tasty broth. Seven of us there, in an outdoor pod, made the experience even better. An excellent addition to Belfast and can't wait to try more from the menu.

Really tasty and unique, we've had Bao several times from different places, but the size and the texture of the buns was really unique, we ordered the duck and the spicy chicken - both were great, but our duck arrived first, and if anything was so good it made the chicken seem a bit worse by contrast. Had they arrived the other way around I feel it would have felt more like it was getting better and better. Ribs tasted amazing, but a serving of three was a little strange when everything else was easily divided between two people? Prawn wasabi tacos were delicious, thought the shell itself felt a bit off-the-shelf. Slim fries with truffle mayo tasted really good, but again felt really off-the-shelf, so couldn't really recommend, may try the salt n chilli chips next time. The selection of gyoza was very tasteful, and will be helpful in knowing what ones we both like most next time we visit. Coffee cake dessert was intense, very tasty but glad we just shared one. Craft beer and Green Nile cocktail were both really good, would recommend, but pint glass could have been a little closer to full.

It was our first time at the Dumpling library, we just had a light lunch of bao buns, wontons and dumplings, all small plates. We both enjoyed it and were quite surprised how filling it was. The surroundings and atmosphere were pleasing and the staff were very polite and not in your face. I will be back!

Fabulous japanese Chinese fusion. Delicious small plates. Don't be fooled by the name - dumplings are only 10% of the menu. Shrimp noodles, tasty ribs, taiwanese crispy chicken, honey pork with cashews, crispy squid...

A very different food experience; Asian tapas. Most meals were very good but disappointed with the Bao buns (very little filling). Probably the 2nd most expensive beer in Belfast (over-priced for 2/3 of a pint, works out at nearly £8 for a pint}. Waiter was excellent and explained every meal and ensured we all got the correct dishes. Beef dumplings & prawn dumplings were amazing.

Visited this place with a friend on 6th May for lunch. We had amazing tapas and cocktails which we both thoroughly enjoyed, however it was interrupted by waiters & waitresses constantly coming over to make sure we were okay! Then, just as we had finished,the waitress came with the card reader for us to pay. Slightly rude and too eager!

So delicious...went on a whim for the first time. Lovely staff, great service, polite explanations of what to do. Food was warm, well presented and very tasty. Good price for lunch, 4 plates £21 which we added chips and a soup too for 3 of us. Plenty of choice and we had plenty to eat from what we ordered. Looking forward to going back

We were seated quickly and given menus. It was pretty busy, we ordered drinks then the waiter came back for our food order. Our drinks took a while, lots of people around us seemed to get served much faster. Our drinks arrived minutes before the food. The food was beautiful. I would go back just for the prawn and avocado wasabi tacos. They were lovely. We really liked the food and will definitely be back. The seating seems awkward and uncomfortable and we felt really in the way of staff and other customers. We had to move so the table beside us could get in and the waiter could take their order.

First time here. A meal for two, we picked a mix of five items (not knowing how big each portion was) one was a fried rice dish to kind of bring the items together. The food came quick. Prawn tacos with wazabi sauce was my favourite. Decor was well done with a rope lattice ceiling with hanging foliage and old style lights. The staff were fantastic and never far away if you wanted to order more. There are also interesting heated domes outside looks like you could fit four to eight people in them.

Amazing menu and great service. Was seated quickly and drinks order taken shortly after. Food order taken within 10 mins and recommendations given as to what dishes to order. Also double checked our order in terms of portion size and food came out very quickly. Dumplings were lovely and I felt the filling size was great. Rhe Don Don noodles were the best ramen type dish I've ever had! We ordered a lot and have to say one of the best Asian restaurants I've been to. When looking at the food we ordered we understand the price. Cocktails were lovely too and staff very nice and courteous. I was worried initially going as I had seen bad reviews but I couldn't fault the service or the food

Such a fun concept and a great new restaurant for Belfast. The lunch deal is fantastic - 4 small plates for £21. I really enjoyed the aubergine, the spring rolls and the steamed steak dumplings. One of my only, minor, negative comments is that I wish there was a bit more filling variety in the bao buns - all came with the same salad (cucumber and tomato). The service is very good too but a tiny bit slow for drinks - although they were super busy. I will definitely return for another visit.

One of the best places to visit in Belfast if you are a food lover. The service is Soo good and explains everything about the dish if you are not familiar with. The dishes are delicious especially dumplings and baobun. I haven't seen such a vast varieties of dumplings before. They look colorful and tastes even delicious. You should not miss deep fried chicken dumplings which are served with sweet chill sauce. I have never tasted such a beautiful dish before. My favorites are deep fried chicken dumplings and salmon fish cakes. Coming to vegetarian dishes, tofu became my all time favorite 🤤🤤🤤. It's just marvelous. I highly recommend people who are in Belfast visit this restaurant.

We visited the restaurant for a mid week meal, really busy and nice atmosphere. Food good and service excellent until we paid bill. We chose to pay bill with cash and as with any establishment we visit we would expect change that may be due, which we would then leave a sufficient tip, especially in current circumstances within the hospitality industry. Staff member took our cash and we waited and waited for our change however this did not happen, staff member proceeded to carry on with other duties. Any change should always be returned to the customer. Yes we were going to leave a generous tip and feel that it was unprofessional and not acceptable as a customer. I'm sure any restaurant would not allow someone to eat at their restaurant and be happy if paying customer was money short to pay bill!! We will not visit restaurant again as we don't feel as a paying customer you should have to ask for change to be returned.

Went for lunch on a Sunday in a party of six and had booked one of the pods. An all round positive experience. Service was brilliant and all of the food was excellent. Only regret is not being able to try more things off the menu but we can come back for that!
