Game also offer trade in service (which I've used and the exchange was pretty good compared to some trade in offers) The staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable (especially useful for parents / grandparents who have been tasked with buying something for their beloved gamer!)

b.3 stars for the store and one extra for the friendly staff. Game is as it always has been. Some good bargains providing you don't own a pile of games already some not so low prices. Got lucky today with a storage rack for the cheapest I've seen even online.

C. M.Great place, it’s where I go for most of my gaming stuff and the staff are always good craic. However today a member of staff became quite hostile after I refused to buy a DLC add on to a preorder I was collecting - it was all friendly until I refused an upgrade, and it definitely felt like the service was being put on just to get an upgrade, and the second I declined it things became icy. Isolated incident and am sure it won’t happen again but it puts a bad taste in your mouth.
c. b.They havent been the same since they first went bust. Game tries to get you to do everything online now. If you use a shop then you will pay more. Each store charges different prices for same things. As others have said, 90% of staff are decent, but the rest think they know what they are talking about and 4 yo know more.
T. H.As always, Game stores are very expensive, but that's the price you pay for walk in shops these days. I don't think it's fair to say you don't get value for trade ins as they offer a price match and will beat any other trade in offer you have from other shops.
I have to agree with some of the other reviewers that some of the staff aren't very knowledgeable. Over the years of using this store have been unhelpful but that is very unfair to the staff that have been brilliant with me over the last while. I'm not sure what the newer staff member's names are but the English guy was extremely good and actually went out of his way to try and sort out the problems we were having with codes and redeemable vouchers.

C. M.All of the staff were great, it was really busy and they handled it very well.
But I only came into the store after checking stock of an item online, where there was plenty listed. In-store, I was told that they were sold out. I would not trust the online stock checker

W.Generally a really decent place to stop by and grab a game or a bit of merch, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating - my only quibble is that they have sometimes struggled to keep on top of what disks they actually have. I've occasionally picked up a box from the shelf, only to find out they don't actually have the game, or can't find it.
B. M.The games are often more expensive than anywhere else, but you'll sometimes come across a reasonable deal. Moving into Lego, Bobbleheads and 2nd hand phones/tablets feels like a mis-step. Thankfully they don't sell retro consoles and games, as I'd be broke.

Went to Argos, 5mins after speaking to this man and managed to preorder the game I was enquiring about. Apart from that I’ve never had a problem here.

So Went here today to exchange my new iphone (iPhone 8 plus) to another pristine condition iPhone 8! Best staff ever and amazing help! They couldn’t of done enough for me. Made my day in the end. M. A.Shout out to the young-lad at Game who seemingly upgraded my partners game? We went in to buy the new Fire Emblems game for my partners Birthday, my partner being autistic meant that I went ahead to pay for it.
While stood in the line, I'm not sure if it was overheard, but we spoke quietly about his birthday but never mentioned it once we got to the tills but to our surprise the young-lad went to the manager with our game once we handed it over - after a few moments he comes back and tells us he'll be giving us the version which comes with the associated book and smiled at us (my partner said that you only get that with the pre-orders?).
I didn't mind paying any differences but to my further shock - we didn't get charged any extra and I didn't notice until I checked the receipt once we got home.
We both fondly remember the manager and young-lad smiling at us, seemingly having no issues with them 'upgrading' us and told us to have a nice day - that's after the young-lad made sure that they credited the right Game Loyalty card on file (as I recently changed the address on mine as it was wildly out of date) I haven't heard my partner talk so much on a walk home in months, it was great and you really made his day.
I know on the box it says 'Last copy to be sold' out of the little pre-order kits, and that's likely why we got it - sheer luck, but either way... thank you for the calm talking, the whole atmosphere you made, the more than friendly and well paced service because it made it a million times better for him.
It's tough to get him out the apartment some days but this experience showed him it doesn't have to be daunting and you can always meet some lovely people. I'll be back without a doubt to buy more from this store in future - I've been in the past and the teams in this store are always kind hearted and a credit to the company name and likely others in their personal lives. Amazing!
