The concept is amazing and the shop does a great job of making it work and I wouldn't fault any of this. The prices are also really reasonable.
The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because it does not accept cash which excludes several older members of my network who would love to use the shop but don't because they're uncomfortable using cards. Such a shame because they love the idea.
Update 6.2.22 - I have since heard that they do accept cash again and returned and found this to be correct. So I have updated my review to 5 stars.

Fantastic spot offering a wide range of dry goods that can be bought by weight. They also stock a number of liquids such as washing up liquid, olive oil, clothing detergent. A small range of ecological products are also stocked.

Brilliant shop. we discovered this after eating brunch across the road. They offer sustainable refills of common household products such as, washing detergent, hand shop etc aswell as coffee beans from a local roastery, Root & Branch, lots reusable cups, straws, cereals and spices. class local find and highly recommend to visit!

Such a great concept. Plus it has a great selection of items to stock up on. The weighing process is really straightforward. I'd definitely recommend + will be going back again soon!

This is an amazing place. A great range of household and food products with low waste or no waste packaging. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Refuge chocolate, epsom salts, paper tape, and loose teas are some of our favourite items but there is so much to choose from!

love this place. if there's anything I want that I can get there, I won't consider anyplace else. I trust these guys to do their groundwork and try to source the most sustainable products instead of supermarket chains that greenwash their product lines, and use unnecessary packaging (even if recyclable - that's another greenwash!). hope more people start making low waste choices like shopping here!

Belfast's first plastic free / zero waste shop! Bring your own containers (glass, tupperware, empty previously single use etc) and stock up on all your household and store cupboard essentials here.
You pay by weight so can take as much or as little as you need. Excellent range of organic and gluten free produce which the owners say is only going to grow over time.
Watch this space people because this shop is the future!

Phenomenal shop! The staff are sound, the products excellent and better value for money than most supermarkets. The peanut butter machine and vegan sweets are a highlight!

Fantastic that we have such a place in Belfast now - they have a great variety of dried foods, hygiene products, spices and more and at very reasonable prices. If you want to reduce your plastic consumption it is well worth a visit!

Some things can be really cheap and others very similar to Tesco prices, if you dont have a container the shop provides you with free ones that have been donated or there is also an option to buy container/bag ,really helpful staff and a great idea very much like the old scoop shop

Absolutely love RQ! It's great being able to buy just the quantities I need of store cupboard items at usually more of a bargain than supermarkets AND plastic free. Also been enjoying finding great eco-swaps by local makers. To top it off, the staff are friendly and really helpful... even when you accidentally smash one of your glass jars!! 🙄
