I've been a customer here for many years. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Will go that extra mile to help when possible. Always willing to listen and assist. If it's not in stock they have always gone out of their way to get what I need. A speedy and competitive service at reasonable prices. Never once in all my time dealing with these guys have I had an issue. I have spent thousands over the years on various models and equipment... it's a pleasure to spend my money here and I will continue to do so until I'm broke or the Mrs finds out lol. I would recommend these guys to everyone without hesitation. I never shop anywhere else, either in store or online. keep up the good work guys your great service and effort does not go unrecognized.

Excellent service with a great range of model railway items stocked. Whilst browsing the website I came across a Hornby coach that I'd been after for a while. Ordered online Sunday afternoon, dispatched by Monday lunchtime, and it arrived the following day via Royal Mail. Well packed and in immaculate condition. Will be sure to use again. Ordered items late Friday afternoon and was amazed when they arrived first thing Saturday morning by Royal Mail. This was my local model shop but since moving I can only use mail order. If ever you get a chance to visit Mikes Models do so as it is an aladins cave inside. I've spent many a happy hour or so just browsing the shelves. Excellent service well done guys.

Excellent store. Massive selection of hobby models, paints and brushes plus everything inbetween. I managed to get exactly the type of brush I wanted at a quarter of the price the same type is sold for in Games Workshop. Nice friendly guy behind the counter and has a good discount on all their GW stock. Will definitely use again.

The best source of paints and tools for miles around. They cater to the RC community as well as railway modeling and plastic scale models too. A lot of kits are discounted, so bargains can be found there too. Worth a long drive to get their next-level service.

Amazing this model shop has everything you could possibly ask for. from tiny little pieces to big models. So who ever is really into their models I strongly recommend that you go and have a look. Mikes models is really one of the best model shop's that you can possibly ask for. and I will tell you wi every other model shop hasn't been able to apply me the right stuff. it's just been relly poor metal and plastic parts. the parts that are made to fit don't that's wi I recommend mike's model's. 🚙🚜🚔🏎️🚝🛩️🚀✈️🚡🛸🚁🎢🎨🖌️

As an RC aeroplane hobbyist, I am pleased to echo and endorse the positive comments made by others. The products stocked are good quality merchandise. Fab service and sound advice. In addition, I find the prices comparable with and sometimes less when accounting for P&P (if collecting in person) than the large internet retailers. Nice video clip about Mike's Models on YouTube.

Been using Mike's models for a few years.. Always helpful and friendly staff... Vast range of products. From RC cars, boats, trucks & planes to 00 scale trains and plastic model kits, with everything to go with them... Paints, glues, diorama bits n bobs.. The lot... Pretty much a one stop shop for all your modelling needs. If they haven't got it, then they will be able to get it for you... Highly recommended.

Fantastic selection of paints , which was all I was interested in . Unfortunate however that the surly staff member made me feel distinctly unwelcome . Nevertheless I will return simply because no one can beat them for range locally.

This is a great model shop, I am a model railway modeller and have often bought bits and pieces ranging including card kits, wagons, track and scenery. They stock a bit of everything. I have found the prices to be very competitive compared to internet outlets. They recently fixed a Hornby TTS loco that was a non runner. The staff were very helpful and the turn around was 2 days. Brilliant and well worth a visit.

I've been here half a dozen time now and it seems that they are always busy with visiting reps.. they have a good stock of models and such for both flying and static plastic scale models and also paints and such... and whilst it's nice to browse it is good to be asked what you are looking for and pointed in the right direction.. had to interrupt to find what I was after and unfortunately they were out of what I wanted... but there's probably going to be a rep for that at some point..

Excellent service been going here since the 80s. Purchased a Wot 4 foam e and enquired about an obscure brushless motor. They took the time to do research and offered a 2nd hand replacement. Support local hobby shops. 10 out of 10.
