Absolutely wonderful place: kind and knowledgeable staff who are always happy to help. The kind of place that when you go there and ask for something unusual, they reach behind the counter and go "you mean, one of these?"
Vast array of stock, and in the very, very unlikely event that they've not got something specific in, they will get it for you double quick.
They also support the hobby and will happily display adverts for local RPG and boardgame clubs.

Great little shop. Bought myself a nice black dragon mini here to paint. An amazing selection of board games, minis and paints as well as many other things related to TTRPGs and board games.
You NEED a sign outside to let people know where you are, if we hadn’t walked 25 mins to come to the shop we would have given up looking. It is very hard to find you guys.

Love this place, it's a little Aladdins cave. Biggest range of TTRPG books going - even bigger than Orcs Nest in London. Just fab. Friendly staff, and nice folks when events are on. Internet (WiFi or 4g) is a little spotty in there which is the only frustration.

Nice shop plenty of stock of various games and helpful staff in person and over the phone, is a little tucked away but not to hard to find.

Excellent friendly and helpful staff, and the array of dice was amazing. I'm definitely going to return with friends, the prices are very reasonable making it impossible to leave without buying a new set of dice to show off.

Somewhat hard to find, but actually very nice and large collection of items. Lots of D&D and Pathfinder merchandise.

Fantastic little board game shop! Truly a gem, so many games I hadn't heard of as well as all the classics like Catan and Ticket to Ride. The owner is lovely too and great with the customers. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

What a great shop! Friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating staff. Huge range of table top games and accessories, this needs to be on your list if you're visiting Birmingham and like board games.
J. T.
Great selection of games (often including stuff I've struggled to find online). Staff also lovely, if a little difficult to catch the eye of. Definitely somewhere to drop in a browse and pass a very pleasant few minutes if you're after a new board game.
T. S.
Excellent selection of board games, rpg stuff and minitures - all very reasonably priced. Seems to have lots of things going on there too. Will definitely be visiting again!
J. H.
Excellent little friendly shop, competitively priced miniatures and accessories not just for Games Workshop but also Bolt Action, Saga, SGP etc, with friendly helpful staff and a customer base who know eachother and so a friendly atmosphere reigns. Can't find it? It's underground accessed off the colorful car park in Digbeth.

Great selection here and very friendly staff!

A lovely hidden board game shop. Staff are always 100% welcoming and always give great recommendations when you tell them what sort of games you are after. Every time I'm in Birmingham, I always make sure to pop in to see what else I can add to my collection.
The prices are usually reasonable and in line with what you would expect.
There are tables set out which means that you can have some demos of the more popular games, and the staff are more than happy to help walk you through how to play the games.

A plethora of games and figures. Always pleasant and good vibe in the shop. Some gaming tables too. Prices are the usual high street standard. Been using the shop since the Fletchers Walk days, just not often enough. Well stocked board games, some PSC stuff, WWII, fantasy figures and accessories.

A great place to play Magic The Gathering. The guy that organises Magic Tournaments (Sven) is a very friendly and likeable bloke. Great selection of board games. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area!

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff make this place a real treat to visit. The range is fantastic and they're able to order in anything they don't have.
The store is a bit tight due to all the gaming tables but they are evidence of a clear desire to support the local gaming community.
Ask about their "meal deal". It's neither a meal nor a deal.

Lovely board games shop with very friendly staff. Despite the smaller size, they have a decent range of games and allow you to browse at your own pace. Lovely, laid back atmosphere.

Amazing LGS. Yes, they have a good stock of games at good prices etc but it's the staff that really make it. I have attended magic events at several places but never have I felt more welcome here. I take my son and his friend both just turned 12 and the only kids there - the staff couldn't have been more accommodating, friendly and helpful. The same goes for the other players. People forget how intimidated kids can get at mostly adult events but these guys make them feel at home and watch out for them. Great atmosphere at the events too. I know they do MTG and Star Wars events. Not sure what else. Worth checking out

It's the best reason to visit the Custard Factory and it's an Aladdin's cave of games and such like. I'm not a regular visitor but I might just turn in to one. As an aspie, I found the half light in the shop nice to be around. I also found what I needed as well as some things that I bought ad-hoc.

Perhaps one of the friendliest places on Earth. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they are honest and keen to help! If you want to look at games, of the board or card variety, or indeed just to join a group that plays your game, this is the place for you! The first trip might be a bit daunting, as they stock dozens and dozens of games, but just ask, you will not regret it!
S. V.
Mainly has specialist board games to be honest, doesn't have the run of the mill ones that I required. (risk, cattergories, and quiddler).
The male member of staff was super friendly and helpful though and really went out of his way to answer my questions. The place itself was full of fanboys, discussing ...well, what fanboys discuss and boy it was pretty stuffy in there (that's a nice way of me saying they had BO). Anyway it's a good store but probably not for conventional people who want conventional games.

What an Aladdin's Cave of a shop! A little bit of a challenge to find it, at first, but worth the effort. Really looking forward to coming back again!
M. W.
Been going for years and you can see why! great range, knowledgeable staff friendly atmosphere.... just wish I had more time and money to buy more games!
R. M.
A specialist game shop with a wide array of goods for tabletop gaming, and the like. While it's somewhat out of the way, it's well worth the trip for anyone interested in the hobby with some of the most friendly staff I have ever encountered.
W. V.
Amazing selection of games and accessories. Mail order would be good, not being a Brum resident. Terrific for d&d miniatures.
T. B.
More then willing to help if you ask them other wise they leave you alone. Lovely little shop with some very friendly people in side. Looking forward to my next trip there.
J. G.
Good place, nice staff and good range. Very knowledgeable. On the downside the location is tricky with parking pay only at the Custard factory and it gets congested with gamers making it difficult to navigate the shop.
P. W.
First time here and it was great! Niamh helped us find the games we were after and knew the answers to almost all our questions, and was happy to look up the answers to the rest.
M. M.
These guys are ace, friendly, knowledgeable and make you feel welcome in the shop. Its a must visit for all your Board gaming/Magic the gathering/miniatures and Roleplaying requirements.
M. 1.
A little hard to find, first big arch door on the left in the alley, inside and downstairs. Lots of stock, noone tried to hurry us out when we showed up last minute and spent a while picking some games.
B. W.
Great stock of board games, trading card games and RP products. Friendly staff and useful information on your gaming needs.

A. I.
Small shop with a surprisingly large and varied selection of games. Probably something for everyone here. Also a very large selection of Star Wars X-Wing components.
A. M.
Knowledgeable, friendly guy, knows his Battletech. A little hard to find on the basement floor, but worth it.
G. B. (.
Loads of stock, maybe too much for the size of the premises, as it's very difficult to get around the shop to browse while the central tables are in use for games.
L. H.
Great place for board games, miniatures and paints. Employees know their stuff and and willing to help
A. M.
Great selection of games, and the staff really know their stuff while being super friendly
T. C.
Lots of choice, was left to browse and stuff were hobest and helpful when I wanted more info on the games I was deliberating on getting.
