Fantastic fishing shop, staff were very knowledgeable. I attended today with my 12 year old son who has been asking to go fishing for about a year. Always spend longer than expected here. Great tackle shop. All major brands plus lesser known but equally as good as lots of the named products. Staff always ready with a smile and very helpful. Some great bargains to be had. I'm sure I'll get back there soon.

As someone new to the hobby I popped in to pick up some bait and also to look into getting a second or replacement rod and reel. The guy working (owner maybe?) took me through the various types of rods and effectively talked me out of buying straight away as I wasn't sure whether I was looking for a ledgering or float rod (in my ignorance I asked if there was such a thing as a hybrid rod...). When I went to pay for my basket the lady behind the counter inquired about where I usually fish and when I answered she realised that I must have been part of the GAC (which I am) - she then gave me the 10% discount that GAC members get... I'm just astounded. Both members of staff were amazingly helpful and both went out of their way to save me from wasting my money. I should add that the shop was also incredibly well stocked - I could have spent days wandering around and wondering what everything is supposed to do LOL. I cannot recommend this shop enough.

I ordered a rod and reel online from Ewenny and a little while later received a phone call.The gentleman kindly put me straight and said the reel I ordered was not compatible with the rod I ordered.Sorted another reel for me there and then.It all arrived on my doorstep the next day.Extremely helpfull people and an excellent service.Very happy.

It's a angler's dream shop it has a great selection of tackle of all varieties,Rods ,reels ,lines,floats , baits for fresh and salt water fishing. I could'nt name more than a fraction of what this shop sells But 1 thing it does have is people in it who give novices like me there time n experience on what's the right stuff to buy they don't just sell u the 1st thing u come to there interest is your success in getting the right tackle to have the best experience fishing.I can say this because using what tackle and bait I was sold buy a member of this shop I had 1 of the best days fishing ever I caught loads even the experienced anglers asked me how I did so well.Chuffed didn't described it.Its all down to Ewenny angling,10 out of 10 this shop.Highly recomend it.

I have used the shop for the past few years when i come to Wales on fishing holidays from Jersey and the staff are always willing to help. The most impressive thing is that they now the waters in the area well and are honest enough to say what is fishing well but also what is not fish. Great shop with great staff.
