Reviews of Foyles
E. I.
A well stocked bookstore with many unique finds. I love how they have designed their layout and the various sections available. Very friendly service.
They would offer a discount on books in less than perfect shape.
Good loyalty program ( collect card from store).
I love their Great Wave collection.

This is an absolutely gorgeous bookshop in the centre of Cabot Circus. It’s well-stocked, organised beautifully, and the new releases were up-to-date. I will definitely be visiting again!
A. L.
Nice bookstore with small cafe area where you can relax and choose your book while having a drink; and part of that being kids corner to get children entertained while choosing books for little ones.
But slightly disappointed by teenagers sitting there playing with children books and families staying there for ages like in a library reading books aloud. Hope they are genuine customers.

Nice shop, very fresh looking. Great selection of books.
D. L.
A great bookshop. A good selection of books and extremely helpful staff. Reccomended.
R. H.
Foyles Bristol is lovely. They don’t just sell books they also have a great range of stationary and gifts. They also have a cafe in store which is a lovely addition.
J. M.
I visit Bristol infrequently but always make an effort to visit Foyles. It is a small shop but well laid out. I have bought Christmas presents there twice for my children based on the staff 'suggestions.'

Cheap tarot and angel oracle cards 2 for 10£ bargain and lots of esoteric books as amazing prices🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
R. S.
Love book shops...could do with a place to park your bum.
F. P.
Love this bookshop, every 'staff pick' book I have read has been great, a good selection + place to sit and have a coffee while you read.
b. l.
Always welcoming and atmosphere good and bookish. Staff excellent. Coffee very good. Layout and selection of books just fine. My favourite non second-hand bookshop. Looking forward to returning.
N. B.
Great selection and a nice relaxing environment to shop in.

I love the atmosphere in this shop. The sections are beautifully laid out and the displays very thoughtfully put together. Usually quiet when I go in, I wish more people knew about this gem.
L. G.
Lovely book store. Always find something I'm interested in. Particularly enjoy searching through the children's literature. Normally serves coffee however doesn't appear to be doing so currently.
J. G.
Lovely book shop, easy layout and a twee and basic cafe as well. Friendly and compitant staff.
E. S.
My favourite book shop! A good selection of books, pleasant and helpful staff, plus a selection of refreshments.
The staff are always enthusiastic and enjoy discussing favourite authors -- they have provided me with information about new editions to look out for in the future.
They never seem too busy to be pleasant or helpful.
A. R.
Very clean and well presented book shop. A range of high quality books and stationary. They also have a range of coffee and cakes that are delicious and at excellent prices. And if you want to have a drink and read a book, you can do that.. there's seats by the window and tables/chairs further up by the children's section. Overall a great, cosy, functional bookshop with plenty of perks (including loyalty card).
R. K.
In these days of very few bookshops, it's a pleasure to have a shop with decent stock levels. It's not the biggest, but you can get a coffee and sit at a table. The staff are friendly and have suggestions if you want some. I browsed for about 30 minutes in the evening with few customers about and was not bothered by staff. It's a light and airy store with a pleasant layout that offered the usual ranges. Plenty of shelf space was given over to staff recommendations. Cabot can feel a bit empty if you're not looking for clothes, footwear or something to eat, so a bookstore is a welcome sight!

Foyles is such a welcoming place. They have a great selection of books (obviously) but the staff are really welcoming & knowledgeable, as it should be in a book shop.
You can also grab a coffee or a snack and there's an area for kids. All in all a lovely store.
L. T.
Beautiful selection of books, if a little pricey. I love to browse but unfortunately l rarely buy. I know they have to compete with businesses like Amazon, but if their books were just slightly cheaper I would much prefer physically going to a lovely real book shop for my purchases rather than taking the risk of ordering online.
B. S.
A great atmosphere and facilities, you can grab a coffee and a book from the same counter. Excellent selection of children's books and games. The only let down is the price, even the discounted titles in store are cheaper at alternative retailers online.
P. M.
This a great bookshop easy to browse and while away some time.
I specifically came for an author event with Peter F Hamilton, Emma Newman and Gareth L Powell being expertly grilled by KK Perez. I got there early and staff were accommodating and very helpful. Event and follow on book signing were fantastic.
E. H.
Beautiful. Having just slated WHSmith for loss of identity and the no-staff shop, I can't fault Foyles. Lovely display, lovely staff. I actually bought two hardback books, from authors I'd never read before. I can't think of the last time I bought a hardback, particularly not one I hadn't been waiting for. These books were also by black authors and to my knowledge, despite being a wide reader, these are the first books by black authors I have ever bought. I've read hundreds of books - how can that be? They were really prominently and beautifully displayed.
OK - I have one little niggle. I don't like paying for my book at the drinks counter. I don't mind them being joined, but it didn't look like there was a separation and I don't want to get my book wet or dirty.
A. N.
A great selection of fiction, both classics and new editions. The staff is very kind and friendly.
t.
Always love a good bookshop. Foyles never fails to have a cozy atmosphere and helpful customer service!
R. (.
A beautiful bookshop with an impressive selection of Fiction and YA books, very kind staff
H. C.
Really helpful staff. I recently wanted a local history book and they didn't have one suitable so recommended a new independent bookshop called "Storysmiths" in North Street, Southville. They have a good range of children's books but never seem to have Patricia Scan language or Marian Keyes (chicklit). It is nice to sit down in there with a drink.
M. E.
Nice bookshop and child friendly. Staff are knowledgeable and happy for you to spend time sitting and reading. Additional of coffee shop is great and adds to comfortable setting.
J. B.
Great place to have a cake and a coffee whilst reading a book with the kids. Great children's section with a brio railway as well. Adult and children's activities are hosted here with guest speakers and themed events
G. T.
Love Foyles. Good selection of new hardback and paperback books. Signed editions too. Extensive Sf and Horror that are my favourite genre.
D. C.
By far our best bookshop in town. They served hoy drinks and cakes. A bit of sitting area inside a good way to relax whike the kids browse theyre wide selection of books.
R. C.
I am sad to learn that this shop is soon to move to a new location with less space for stock. As it stands the amount of stock in this shop is already limited, with very few academic books which is surprising (and disappointing) for a city with two universities.
The saving grace for the shop as it is are the friendly staff and the excellent coffee shop on the first floor where you can watch the world go by in the street below from the large glass windows. Sadly the view will also be lost with the move to a new location.
With the closure of another large bookshop on Park Street over the summer this year, and the move to a smaller premises for Foyles, could this be the end of large bookshops in Bristol?
S.
Very good variety of books and good prices. Staff were very friendly and practicing great hygiene and social distancing.
L. A.
A place of sanity in a world gone mad! Great staff and nice atmosphere. Maybe they could invest in more comfy seating, but won'tstop me returning very soon!
M. D.
Great shop and I have been buying books for the last 5 years for my daughter who is 8 now.
B. M.
Great coffee. Good little selection of graphic novels. Great atmosphere and it's cool that they have a little train set out for the kids
R. B.
My daughter says it was epic because she likes the books. Well stocked book shop with nice atmosphere. Good food and drink in the in-store cafe.
J. H.
Good selection of books. The café has not reopened but book browsing is still great fun.
D. J.
Lots of effort put into answering my questions and obtaining the book I wanted
J. S.
Knowledgable staff and great to have a real bookshop still surviving without lining Bezos's pockets further.
M. W.
Love the vibe in here! Lovely book shop with everything you need, staff are super helpful too and if they don't have what you want they will order it for you
J. L.
Lovely book shop. Well designed and a great variety of reads.
K. G.
I did prefer their older premises as larger, but this still remains a well stocked book shop. Click-and-collect service available from their website.
L. T.
Lovely book shop. The store isn't huge but there's enough here to find what you're looking for.
L. M.
Lots of choice of books here and a reading area and cafe. They seem to have many book signings here as I saw several signed books for sale in the shop at no extra cost!
D. C.
Great selection of books. The children's section is amazing. Browse and enjoy a coffee.
A. B.

T. S.

A. H. (. H.
Lovely shop. You can get coffee and browse for books. Plus they have a Harry Potter section!!
T. B.
Huge range of books, great staff who seem to have read most of the books in the store. You'll always come out with a great read.
S. D.
A book shop, that sells books. Needed somewhere to spend my book tokens, picked up a classic sci-fi and a non-fiction bestseller (paperbacks, each at RRP ~£9).
W. M. (.

It's a book shop. What more can I say? It feels clean and sterile. Wouldn't say it's as cosy as Waterstones but that's not a bad thing.
