Reviews of Honey & Ginger - Local Village Store and Cafe

A great place for a coffee and cake stop - cyclists very much welcome. They have other food such as sandwiches, quiche and sausage rolls. The shop is a great farm shop with a real mix of items including craft beers.

Stopped here on a cycle ride on way back into Bristol. The place was bustling with other cyclists. Coffee and cake very tasty although cake slightly dry if I were to be ultra critical. Very convenient for cyclists but fronting on to busy Clevedon Rd. Limited seating inside

Such a lovely place! Great local food and drink, good coffee and cakes (catering for lots of different dietary choices and allergies) and excellent service. Only negative is the parking isn't big enough for all the people who want to use it (but there is on-street parking nearby, being respectful of leaving access for local residents of course).

Went to a rugby match nearby, and stopped here to grab a quick bite. Really nice friendly staff, lovely coffee and the best almond croissant I have ever had! it was a meal on its own, delicious :-)

Nice little place. Good for local produce.
We had coffee (nice) and some cake with some cold meat pastry (looked great but not that great)

First visit today. I only had a coffee and bought some delicious chocolate & orange biscuits. I'll have to come back and try more of the enticing items on offer.

I like this store and coffee shop. Quirky exotic foodstuffs, but a bit lighter on fresh local produce - would love to find some organic grass fed meats and associated produce available here

My wife had read about the "awesome" doughnuts so popped in to try them. Rated them overpriced and ordinary , apart from some unusual fillings. Also commented that they were "uncovered in an open box" crawling with wasps which was off-putting.

Always great when you stumble on a little gem of a shop and cafe like this. Every village should have a store that has a range of quality supplies and a cafe that serves up a great range of coffee and cakes. Well done to the family for converting this former post office into a lovely local asset. Mike

Excellent coffee but not much seating inside and only one table outside. Lots of healthy foods to purchase including locally supplied. Very popular with passing motorists.

I was very impressed with this farm shop. The prices are not unreasonable. There were a great selection of gluten free delights in the cafe. We all enjoyed our cakes and drinks. There was ample parking at the front and outdoor seating. My only comment is that the gluten free products in the shop need price tickets. Some people will be put off buying they cannot instantly identify the price. The staff were absolutely fabulous and very helpful, so it was a treat.

Great service. Beautiful cakes and many healthy wholesome options that cater to the vegans, gluten free lot available too. It's donut day but I'm away. So maybe my handsome friend with 'African sunset' hair may show up?

Stopped here for cup of tea. Not a large selection of cakes, bit excellent farm shop
R. S.
Lovely shop, really enjoyed the pippin donuts they sell on a Friday. Lovely range of products, staff are friendly and always happy to help, lovely place to have a wander and browse.
Edit - I went for the chocolate and cinnamon sugar, my sister and I shared them and loved both of them, a delightful in car treat😁

Very good sausage roll and nice place to sit outside with an above average espresso.
Definitely worth popping in if passing as a variety of locally sourced produce also available.

Fantastic place best coffee I have had in a long time

Small, friendly, village store that stocks local produce. Has small cafe bar and 3 outside tables. Serves drinks, cake and savoury snacks, including vegan and gluten free, to eat in or takeaway. Second time we stopped when passing and will again.

Lush country store and well located for locals, commuters to and from Bristol and cyclists and walkers who requent the area.
Trendy in and out, with top notch food and cakes and doughnuts and beer and gin and fruit and veggies, oh and cake and wine and coffee, have I mentioned cake!
The staff are super friendly and welcoming and this is our new go to shop, especially for #doughnutfriday

A life saver cafe with spare inner tubes for sale when my spare was a dud. Great coffee too. Big thank you!

This is my favourite local coffee shop, great selection of organic food and wine as well as great coffee. The smoothies are great and the service from the friendly staff just tops it off 10/10
D. M.
Really friendly and welcoming family run business. Lovely seating area outside for a bunch of sweaty cyclists with the obligatory fresh coffee and some fabulous cake on offer!
s. d.
It's ok. Not enough seating outside for the summer particularly considering it is popular with passing cyclists as a pitstop. I usually have to stand outside juggling a plate and quickly drinking a coffee.
S. R.
Really great shop and cafe, great place to stop and really glad we did. Maybe some signs further up the road would make sure you didn't miss it
C. S.
Possibly the best veggie "sausage" roll I have ever had, and some seriously yummy cakes too. Will definitely be back.
