Couldn’t recommend Portisbeds enough. From the second we walked through the door we felt looked after! No question to silly and no pressure just honest advice! Really happy with our purchase of bed frame and mattress, the cost and the service received! Defiantly a 10 from us and have recommended to everyone.

When I came in to buy a Super King bed my (yet to be diagnosed) autistic 3 year old son had a meltdown, the shop staff were super calm and made every effort to make him welcome, which included giving him as much time as we needed – they even offered to open the showroom after hours when it would have been quieter for him. They re-assured me that if the super king didn’t fit (up the stairs) they would bring it back to the shop and work with us to find an alternative solution or provide a refund. For comparrison, Bensons in Bristol said it would be a huge problem and there would be re-stocking & failed delivery fees if the bed didn’t fit. Overall a very pleasant experience and from now on, we wouldn’t consider going anywhere else!

Fantastic experience from this company. At the store the sales advisors were very informative and gave great advise on mattresses without seeming like they were trying to 'sell' anything or being at all pushy. Always responsive on the phone and the aftersale support from John was second to none. Would not hesitate to recommend and return in the future.

Thank you portisbeds. We had a lovely single ottoman bed delivered for our son’s new room. The bed is perfect, so stylish and the storage is so useful for all those extra things. The mattress is incredibly comfortable and of excellent quality. 5 stars as our experience couldn’t of been any better, fantastic service & quality from start to finish.

A real bonus was how they went the extra mile to help me out when I was moving into my flat, this ensured I had a bed from day one. We recently visited the showroom in Old Mill Road. The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy. After trying several mattresses, we narrowed it down to two. The salesperson said ignore the price and go for the one you prefer the feel of. So we did and it came with a 10 year warranty! We arranged for delivery and disposal of our old mattress. The delivery guys were prompt and courteous. From showroom to delivery the experience was top draw! 2 months in and we're sleeping the best we have in years! Thank you Portisbeds! #shoplocal

Great service in store. We ordered our new mattress within 15 minutes of arriving at the store. Got a call 2 days later to say it would be delivered the next day! Two friendly gents delivered our new mattress and I've been having the best night's sleep in about 3 years! Highly recommended and happy to support a local business.

Being Surprised is always a good thing,Great job to all at Portisbeds. Looks like one of those showrooms that when you walk in you feel like you have to buy something, not in this case though not pushy and great knowledge. Average selection of bed frames some made in the UK.large amount of colours and finishes to choose from. Some items in stock,quick delivery had to wait 2 wks better than large chain waiting times. Free local delivery took old bed away for a charge, put new bed together even put the mattress back on.👍

Such a friendly local business. A few weeks ago we paid a visit to Portisbeds. So glad I remembered it was there, didn't want to drive far. Very informative, helpful and friendly. The kind gentleman that served us was absolutely mad. He carried our mattress to our car with one hand, and I thought, "well that was easy." Not ten minutes later two of us were struggling to get it up our stairs. Very friendly, down to earth, would recommend.

I would give John 10/5 if I could. He was extremely helpful and friendly from the moment we met him. We explained our needs to him and he helped us pick the perfect bed at a decent price without trying to sell us something we didn't need. He was equally great on delivery as the bed needed to go up a very narrow staircase and they managed to squeeze it up no problem. I would recommend John and his team without hesitation. You haven't bought a bed until you've bought one from Portisbeds!

Visited Portisbeds today. I must say the salesman was very knowledgeable and sorted me out with a super deal on an ottoman and double mattress. Lots to choose from in the store and they are even taking my old bed and mattress away, wich was my main concern. Can't wait for the new bed to arrive. I can not recommend this bed shop enough. Great family run business, with unrivalled knowledge..... sometimes you just need someone to guide you through and narrow down the many MANY different types of mattresses. Not just someone who’s after commission. After struggling with back conditions for years, I decided to finally invest in an orthopaedic mattress.
