Recently ordered a rod and reel through Garry Evans and I have to say the service was excellent! I received a call soon after placing the order because there was a very slight cosmetic issue with the rod. Garry said it wouldn't bother him, but didn't want to send it out without making sure the customer was happy and on top of that I recieved £10 off the rod. Would recommend to anyone wanting to buy tackle etc.

A fantastic online shopping experience. I bought a lightweight fly rod and reel combi package but wanted to have an alternative reel to the one on offer. Nothing was a problem for the staff, whose product knowledge was very good and I was offered a choice of alternatives, all at fantastic prices. The package arrived the next day, line and backing attached and I was ready to get going in minutes. A brilliant shopping experience, online but with help and advice available from obvious experts. I will be returning to the website for future purchases!

AMAZING SERVICE!!! Called me twice after receiving my order. The first time they called to advise that some of the items were out of stock but suitable replacements were sorted there and then - no problems. The second time they called was to make sure I had everything I needed. I had bought near enough a full ST/Salmon spin set up, apart from braid and they wanted to make sure I had some - I did but really appreciated the care and efforts made. Fantastic service, prices and products. Having left it a bit late for an outing this week I purchased two fly reels and lines from Gary Evans website on Sunday. They are currently offering to load fly lines on reels if you purchase both and offer next day delivery (at an additional cost). The pre-loaded reels arrived today (Tuesday) and are perfect. I have purchased angling gear from many tackle shops, but after watching a You tube video on different lures which Garry Evans Tackle was mentioned I thought I would purchase some kit. Gary Evans tackle shop is by far the best one I have visited with loads to offer you for all kinds of fishing, the staff are very helpful and polite and are always happy to answer questions if needed. Don't let the outside of the store fool you as it might look small but is actually big inside as it's a long space, there is one downside and that is the parking which is tight to get in and out of plus doesn't have many spaces available but still worth the hassle.

just getting back in to the fly after roughly a 10 year break, I've just left garry's and the service is still unbelievable, super friendly and knowledgeable. The selection of tackle is second to none it was good to see Colin and Garry still there looking well but Dave who served me relatively new (5 years) was fantastic really helpful nothing too much trouble and very knowledgeable on the fly department 5 stars all around. I went in for a new tackle bag came out bag waterproofs and 2 rods :)
