Generally it's ok, we've been taking our two cats there for many years and have never had any major issues or reasons to complain. Everyone is professional and some of the vets are genuinely really nice people. The only real problems are the text message/email reminders for medication....you might get one...you might not and the costs, I'm not sure how expensive other vets are but Abbey seems to be very expensive.

Very good with both of my dogs I have taken to them. Both dogs used to like going there as all the staff make a fuss of them and no problems going into the surgery. I would recommend this vets, to you, and know your pet will be well looked after, by staff that care.

We have been regularly using this Veterinary practice for 11.5 years with our two German Sheppard Girlies. We have always been very happy with the quality of service, treatment & flexibility in an emergency. We have recently added two new pups to our "pack" & were very grateful for the understanding & approach given by not only the reception desk staff but also the Vet herself.. The staff told me to go back to our campervan, when i asked what the procedure was with unvaccinated pets. "Gemma" the Vet, actually came out to our vehicle to examine, weigh our pups for their 1st health check etc the two PupStars.. As they were too young to start their immunisation. So didn't want to put them to any risk by us taking them into the waiting room. Really impressed my husband and myself.

I've been going to Abbey Vets for nearly 20 years. All the staff are wonderful. The vets will explore every avenue concerning treatment for our pets in helping them from small ailments to major ones.

I recently took my male dog to be neutered and was told to take him back for his stitches to be removed a week later. I had noticed that his skin was tuckered where he had the operation, so asked about this at his review. I was told it would go down but can take 90 days to do so. I was also told they would not remove the stitch at this time as it would make the wound open up and that the stitch would dissolve itself. However, 4 weeks later, 5 weeks after the initial operation the stitch was still in place and it appeared to be bothering by dog, therefore I had to make another appointment for a review. I have had one of my other dogs neutered a couple of years prior to this and never had this problem, his stitches were removed a week later and the skin was not tuckered, which makes me question how well this current dogs operation was carried out. I am a bit concerned regarding this instance and would be concerned to take any of my male dogs there again to be neutered.

Always taken our family pets here. But know I have my own pet I know 1st hand how good abbey vets are and reasonably priced even for emergency calls on a Sunday only cost £30 for them to check my dog over
