Superb! I popped in on the off chance that they would have a couple of bed frames that I could take on the day. My budget was tiny and I didn't hold out much hope if I'm honest... I was wrong. Stuart was fantastic, went through what I needed and found something to suit almost immediately. My budget was kept in mind at all times and made sure that I was completely happy before we left. Stuart had our beds delivered for us which was quick and fuss free. The delivery guys are genial and professional, conscientious at all times and really helpful. It's unusual to be made to feel 'at home' when shopping but, at The Derby Bed Centre, it's just how it is. A real credit to the community, Stuart will clearly go above and beyond. I can't recommend him enough. Thank you!

Excellent service from Katrina last week! We recently visited Benson for Beds and looked at everything on offer but I wasn’t totally convinced so after further research and a long conversation with Katrina and Stuart, we went to visit their store. We received excellent service and expert information from Katrina who helped us decide which ottoman bed base we wanted to buy and also helped us choose our fabric and colour ! All being well it will be delivered and put together within a week of placing our order. We are very much looking forward to receiving our bed, thank you very much Katrina, really appreciate your advice and excellence customer service.

Popped in after having a look around online, thought I'd try somewhere local after reading the reviews and wanted to talk to someone about what I was after. Stuart didn't disappoint, his knowledge is incredible and straight away found me a bed I'd love and a mattress that was suitable for me. He guided me with what mattress was best and explained a few other types of bed that would work with the space I had in my room, cant thank you enough for the excellent service you gave! One of the best shopping experiences I’ve had for a long time. We looked at all the main bed suppliers, visited internet suppliers premises and found the best solution at the Derby Bed Centre. The quality of the bed frame is far superior to internet suppliers, fantastic choice and the pricing considering the quality was tremendous. All the staff were a pleasure, from the lovely patient lady in the shop (apologies that I can’t recall her name), Stuart was so knowledgeable and accommodating and the delivery guys finished the job perfectly. I cant recommend them highly enough.

Excellent and many thanks. My Mum has fallen ill and needs a bed downstairs. This was bought, delivered and set up in the space of 4 hours today ready for her when she gets out of Derby Royal at the weekend. Dreams (!), Bensons etc. not interested and long lead-times. Stuart could not have been more helpful and focused on getting a new bed sorted. Decent price for a quality bed, good mattress, delivery and set up as well. I know that you can't run a business on same day delivery always, but DBC pushed the boat out today. Highly recommended.

Amazing service and a very knowledgeable guy in store. I was actually dreading shopping for a mattress. My dread was not realised. Stuart was friendly and certainly knows his stuff. My wife and I are in our fifties and work in health and fitness. My specialty is lower back pain management and I’m always telling people about the importance of good posture and a good mattress! We’re so happy and I feel I need to mention the delivery guys too, as they were prompt and efficient and friendly. I’d give 6 stars if I could! For a small shop front you’d be surprised how many options are available and it’s on two floors. Bit like the tardis!

Great service and super quality divan bed, ottoman bed and fantastic, comfy mattresses. We were buying a flat and needed two beds and mattresses. I visited Stuart at Derby Beds and really enjoyed my visit because Stuart is so knowledgable about beds and mattresses. Unlike the online retailers, he knows many of his suppliers personally and was able to get on the phone and sort custom size European singles in the mattresses we wanted on a Superking end ottoman divan, so we could split them into 2 singles when needed. Stuart also had stock of a king size ottoman bed (unlike the 8 week lead times elsewhere) and the price was really competitive too. He did us a fantastic deal and despite our flat being 90 miles away he organised a delivery on the date we wanted, so we had them when we moved in. The delivery team Stuart uses are amazing too. So careful with our newly painted walls and friendly and professional. They set up the divan base for us and explained everything. (We had opted to build the Ottoman bed ourselves and it was so well built and easy to construct). Stuart cares about quality so the divan bases are rock solid and able to hold 75kg! The headboards he recommended and floor standing and again, great quality at a great price. But the best bits were the mattresses…I’ve had traditional mattresses in the past but the kayflex Sarabi Mattresses he recommended for the Superking divan were so comfortable. We were all aches and pains after a day of intensive painting and decorating and as I relaxed into the mattress, my aches melted away, the top of the mattress is so comfy and yet the lower layers are supportive. Amazing! All in all, fantastic price, quality and service from beginning to end. We will be using Stuart again and will be recommending him to our friends. So glad I made the trip to see him.

Ordered a new single divan bed base and headboard for my teenage daughter on Monday and arrived Thursday. We decided to try Derby Bed Centre after going to Dreams and Benson's and getting little interest from the staff there. Straight away we was made to feel welcome and asked if we needed help. Stuart was very friendly and super knowledgeable and looked after us along with his Mum who helped us initially with advice with what was available. Finding the right mattress can be difficult especially as you don’t invest in one for longer than you should! Stuart was extremely helpful in this process. He is very knowledgeable about all his products and helped us find something that suited our needs and comfort without trying to over or up sell. He was not pushy for sales as he has full belief in the quality of the products he stocks and sells them at a fair price. What could have been days shopping round multiple shops ended up being less than an hour to find the one. The team he employs to deliver also did a friendly and efficient delivery right onto our bed frame. Would highly recommend you make this your first and most likely last stop when shopping for a new mattress.

Do not be deceived by how small this establishment is, I was advised to go there by a friend who had been buying beds from them ever since the company opened 40 years ago. From both me and my friends experience if you tell the company what you need and how much you are able to spend they will advise you accordingly. I got a wonderful budget bed but my friend has had top of the range orthopaedic beds. This can be counted as two 5star reviews from me and my friend.

After trailing round all the big chain stores, with very limited style choices, I was able to get exactly what I want from Derby Bed Centre, at a fraction of the cost. I moved into a shared accommodation in Derby. the old tenants had left the beds in a mess and I couldnt afford to renovate the bedroom at my own expense. I searched Google for beds in derby and mattress in derby and Derby bed center was what Google suggested, and now I know why. I would expect a business to get as much out of a customer as they can, however Stuart actually suggested what I should buy (because I will be in Derby for only 11 months) and hence i managed to pick something which was in my budget and which will last for just about a year.
