What a superb fishmonger! Loads of choice of lovely fresh fish and a very knowledgeable and friendly lady behind the counter. This was our first visit but will definitely now be a regular stop for us.

I can honestly say I have never had such a good experience when shopping for food and never tasted fish of such good quality. Lee is really friendly and certainly knows his stuff and will happily educate you if needed on any fish. I got great advice on how best to cook some swordfish and even got offered a taste of some smoked salmon which I obviously ended up buying as it was the finest I’ve ever tasted. Will definitely be visiting again soon. The prices are also as good, if not better than anywhere, with customer service that is unbeatable.

My long awaited search for a great fishmongers in Derby is complete, a friendly family selling fabulous fresh fish with a smile. Can't beat the customer service and the platter presentation is great lovely centre piece for Christmas.

Brilliant fishmonger, very knowledgeable and quality produce. Would have rated 5 star before but my only problem now is the reduced opening. 3 days a week is too little especially when trying to balance meals across a week. If I'm buying fresh fish from a fishmonger (which isn't the cheapest route to go obviously) I don't then want that fish sat in my fridge for days. It would even be fine if the 3 days were spread out but with that not being the case more often than not I don't bother going now.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff who have a great selection of fresh seafood available at reasonable prices. Feel very lucky to get such fresh seafood in the Midlands, making sure bought fish taste so blend in comparison. I highly recommend the smoked salmon!

Fantastic Fish, we travelled 30 miles just to visit here on recomendation of a local restaurant. Was lucky enough to try some samples and bought most of it, lobster included. Lovely staff get shop. Well Done. Will be back again soon

Well I'm super impressed it was first time going to a fish mongers and the staff were understanding, really helpful and so bright and kind. The pricing was fair and it all looked amazing. There was no horrible fish smell which means you can tell it's fresh. Will definitely be returning again next time with a bigger order.

Finally! A decent fishmonger with excellent shellfish and a really good knowledge of produce. Great prices and an excellent range of fish - ring ahead if you want something different and they will try to get it for you. I went in recently and they had octopus, prawns, crevettes, swordfish (I think, from the look of it) and more available.

Fantastic to find a brilliant fishmonger so far from the coast. Great quality and a wide range of available fish. Some special orders are shipped in overnight and available on the next day. Friendly team and always able to give good advice.

Fantastic value seafood platter which i had for a birthday tea. Beautifully fresh and plenty for 2 on a bed of salad. I would thoroughly recommend all their fish having also had scallops, hot smoked salmon, skate and halibut from them recently

This "plaice" sells only the finest fish with a good variety. It's all very nice and fresh, together with excellent quality and service. Not very often you can find a good proper fishmonger these days but this is one. I know as I used to be one !!

It's been some time since I've been able to find a REAL fishmonger that's not in sainsbury or morrisons. The fish is always fresh and the staff (family) who run the business are always lovley, down to earth and chatty if they have the time. Amazing fish. Some people say its expensive but the quality you et for your money is outstanding.. You definatley get what you pay for.

I noticed this by chance on the way home and we visited a few days later. Bought crab and bream (both on deals) and have eaten some and frozen some. Both were excellent and although seemed quite pricey, there was absolutely no waste, no shrinkage when the bream was cooked, and both were so, so tasty. Certainly recommend this fishmonger and will go back regularly.

Been shopping there since Xmas, spotted it by driving by and boy his fish produce are top knotch , his supplier of oysters are on par with what we have in France, they are that good. Its nice to have quality products in the village and it's very important to make use of these specialist shops because you don't have the same quality in supermarkets so get behind them and go and buy them.
