Precent private afternoon tea party, the good is delicious and the hosting and staff excellent. The room cosy and perfect for 20 or so people. We have also been during week just for a drink and whilst it is a smallish room if it is rammed and does feel loud ish the food and drink make up for it and would recommend.

Lovely, friendly, local place to meet friends and enjoy a reasonable priced coffee. There is a warm and inviting feel about the place and some very useful party and gift ideas available to. Katherines is a great addition to this area with no other service like this available. Walking distance to the local doctors surgery, park and corner shop - there is no wonder why Katherines is always vibrant. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. There is plenty on offer including gluten and dairy free snacks. Outdoor seating and additional seating in the rear. Very enjoyable first visit and I look forwards to coming again

The staff were great and the coffee was delightful. We didn't have any cake (dieting!) but if you did you'd be spoiled for choice. We now (2022) go several times a week and have done for years. I can say in all honesty that I've never had a bad coffee or any food that wasn't top class. Their afternoon teas are terrific value for money and really good, being freshly prepared.

Absolutely LOVE it here! It is a bit expensive but definitely worth it. They cater for all ages & do afternoon teas which I have done four of for my nieces birthdays ranging from 3yrs to 13yrs. There is an 'adult' one & a unicorn one for younger children. However, I gather that they will try to cater for your childs ' theme as much as possible. Staff are really helpful & friendly with table service provided. There is a gift shop that sells some unique items as well as cards & bath bombs. It's an amazing treat for adults & children alike, I highly recommend a visit here.

Lovely bustling coffee shop with loads of nice hand made style gifts for sale :) friendly staff, great service, great coffee and amazing cakes! 👍🏼 Would recommend booking at a weekend/busy times. There is a little parking out front and plenty on quiet side streets bear by.

Food, drinks, selection excellent. But the place is very loud to sit in. Not much on the walls, so every sound bounces off them, making it 3 times louder, so if it's just a little bit busy, you can barely hear your own voice.

I visited Katherine's today (18 Aug 21) for afternoon tea with my Mum and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are so attentive and positive, the food is delicious and it is the best afternoon tea that I have tasted, so fresh and presented so well, nothing was too much trouble. 100% recommendation.

Really great staff, very accomodating. Cakes and bakes are amazing!! For 3 adults and 3 children, the bill was £29 - but that was 2 speciality milkshakes, a coffee, a latte, a speciality hot chocolate, 3 slices of baked goodies and a fruitshoot!! Well worth the money

Fantastic - as usual! The staff are nothing short of incredible, the place is spotless and the drinks and the cakes are delicious. Very polite staff. The cafe is spotless and the girls work so hard to clear the tables as soon as someone has left. My scone was beautiful, and was very fresh. I would certainly go there again. My son said his pot of tea was a nice brew and his friend said her coffee was delicious. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that has never been before.

Been taking my granddaughter to Catherines for special treats for a while now and have never been disappointed. Lovely attentive staff food is always excellent . Today we took my daughter for an afternoon tea treat for her birthday . It was lovely everything just perfect . Thank you to all the staff for making it another enjoyable visit .

This is a lovely place to have a coffee and cake. Staff are lovely, the shop is clean and inviting and the coffee tastes great. There are chairs outside if you want to smoke or if you have a dog with you. They also sell handmade gifts of all varieties. I've been here for a couple of kids parties too. A lovely little shop.

Unicorn party for my 8 year old. She loved it. So many good things to say. We all purchased food a drink and everything's better than you expect. My daughter had a bagel and the side salad came sprinkled with fairy dust. Love the place. Recommended.

I found the food to be fairly pricey for the Chaddesden area. I thought that the back room had too many tables in it, and some would have been better located in the front room. I didn't feel particularly welcomed by the three female staff - no hello, smiles, or banter. The food was nice, although I would have preferred plates!

Nice coffee shop /gift shop . Can get a little expensive but nice as a monthly treat . Gets full up of mum's and toddlers sometimes if u like that 😕. But have to say would have given more stars but parking is absolutely non exsistant so u risk leaving ur car half way up a already crazy busy road , or u make mistake of parking on next doors Chinese restaurant space in the daytime when there shop is closed !?😕 very angry owner of restaurant comes out and shouts at you (NOT VERY NEIGHBOURLY ) might say 😬😤

Went in for one of the ice creams they advertised on Instagram, got my daughter a mermaid ice cream she liked it but in my opinion it was over priced at £4.50 and didn't look as fancy as the Instagram pics . I also noticed the woman preparing the food wasnt wearing gloves and none of the girls working there had masks or visors on pretty bad in the current circumstances

We went at lunchtime, so it was busy, but we didn't feel welcomed, or that we actually had the young lady server's attention. My friend wanted tuna with her jacket potato, but was told that they had run out of (tinned) tuna! I felt that there were too many tables in the back room, some of which could be moved to the front room. I personally prefer plates. The food was nice, but I thought expensive for the Chaddesden area.

We love it here! Such a lovely comfortable atmosphere and the best cakes! I also applaud Katherine and her team for the efforts they put into local events and charity events backed by Katherine’s, since Kat opened she’s helped organise so many events around chaddesden bringing the community together! If it means closing for 1 day to raise money for a good cause so be it! Look forward to the future in chaddesden with Kat and her teams involvement in organising events especially the Christmas market finally bringing Christmas to chaddesden 😊
