First time at this lovely Gift shop and Tea house . All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The afternoon tea was fabulous -various fillings to the cobs ,sausage roll and lovely baked cakes .Couldn't manage all the cake and staff popped it in a box so we could bring home. Would highly recommend going.It was busy but we had booked so didn't have a problem getting a table. Gift shop is a added bonus too.

Highly recommended by a friend, so had to try it out. Went on lovely sunny October lunchtime - and it was still busy. Shared a door stop cheese 'n' ham toastie plus a slice of vanilla and apple cake. All washed down with a flat white. Full marks for decor, service, toastie and coffee. A little disappointed with the cake, as i felt it looked amazing but didn't quite do it for me. That aside, it's now on our list, and will definitely be recommending to all. 👍🏻

Always have a great experience at The Apple Tree. Small quirky cafe with great food and drink. Strongly recommend the Eggs Benedict! I’ve seen a few comments about not getting a table and I would strongly recommend to book in advance, if not you may have to find seating outside IF it’s available or worse case scenario you can have food / drink to takeaway. Best parking is at the pub opposite called The Queens Head which allows parking for the Apple Tree customers. Looking forward to the next visit!

Forever favourite on the scone map in Derbyshire! We love the fact that both the scones and clotted cream are freshly made and beautifully served🧁☕️🍓 The atmosphere is also wonderful and you can choose whether you prefer to come on a bicycle or take the dog and stay outside or come inside Cannot wait to be back really!

What a beautiful gift shop and cafe, the lady who served us was so lovely and helpful. We went for the prosecco breakfast with a glass ofd prosecco to start with plenty of orange juice to top up on too, choice of starters, then several main breakfasts to choose from and then croissant and coffee to finish all for £22 Highly recommended service was excellent thank you

Immaculate, wonderful staff as nothing is too much trouble. Food is beautiful, home made selection of cakes which are amazing, and the dog's puppaccino goes down a treat with our Boxer dog Stanley. Superb, top of the range gifts, cards, jewellery, bags etc, all of which are high quality. I would 110% recommend The Apple Tree 😊

Delicious food and drinks. Visited whilst on holiday then made a return visit on our journey home as it's so close to M1. Huge selection of food, cakes, cold and hot drinks. Would be dangerous if I lived nearby as I'd visit so often my calorie intake would probably double! Will be returning anytime we're driving along the M1 though!

I love visiting The Apple Tree Gift Shop, the staff are wonderful, always helpful and friendly, the food is delicious and I always find something to buy in the gift shop 😊it can get busy ( this is only because it’s fab and everyone wants to visit) so booking a table is a must, We took my daughter for her 16th birthday breakfast and she was made to feel very special. Visited here today for the first time and my o my what a wonderful place for gifts and for food. I will surely visit again, you try it and you will not be disappointed. You will find it on the main road into Borrowash on Flood Street opposite the Queens Head pub. The shops sells lots of different things that are special for a special occasion or a present of something for a special person. The staff where friendly and made you feel extremely welcome. The Tea Rooms are nice and clean and the food was excellent. You could even eat outside on a small table if you wished. Parking is on the main road as the car park is very small. We attended for a special occasion and when we arrived it was rather empty but in a short time it was totally full so lots of people use it

Great little shop and cafe . Lovely outside kind of Barn but has some heaters , blankets and even hot water bottles. Decorated lovely outside with fairy lights . Can sit inside main cafe too but smaller and obviously no dogs and better for kids in barn . Went back today and extended and even more lovely than it was . Fabulous place . Just check opening hours as I walked once from a distance away and was closed .

First time coming here and all the staff were very friendly and polite. Food was delicious and came fast as-well as the milkshake. The gentleman gave us some treats and water for my dog which was really nice. Will definitely be coming again!

Lovely, afternoon tea. Plentiful-A selection of finger sandwiches, Scones with clotted cream & Jam, chocolate mousse topped with cream, little lemon drizzle cakes and choux pastries. Vintage China. Friendly, pleasant staff. If you have afternoon tea gift vouchers, remember to use them within 6 months as they lose their value after this time!

Had a great breakfast, the halloumi and avocado breakfast roll was gorgeous. The service was friendly. The coffee was tasty but the latte needed to be warmer and it would have been good if we had been offered warm milk for the americano, then this would have stayed warmer for longer. This was especially important as we were sat outside.

Went for afternoon tea. Its a nice little place, with a gift shop. it was busy which gave it a lovely atmosphere. The food was beautiful presented on China crockery, good selection of sandwiches and cakes. I would have preferred to have two scones rather than just one big one simply because it was so delicious and i am sure if I asked I could have ordered another one. Get booking early to avoid disappointment. There was plenty free on street parking too.

Took my wife there for afternoon tea on her birthday. We were greeted warmly on arrival. The afternoon tea with prosecco was very nice and everyone was very attentive asking if everything was OK. A most pleasant experience. Will visit again.

Cracking little place for a breakfast. Sat in the barn area as didn’t pre book for inside, nice and airy with the heaters to keep the edge off the cold. After some confusion over drinks order and resolved a missing item off my breakfast, all became good. 👍🏻👍🏻

Really nice place with an abundance of options which will make your decision difficult. The staff are friendly and the venue clean and well presented. They have adapted to covid really well with rear, outdoor seating and service hatch. Parking is a little difficult if you don't know the area but you can find something within walking distance.

The cafe here is absolutely lovely, the menu is surprising varied and the food is always delicious, the service is friendly, efficient, chilled out and not invasive and everything is fairly reasonably priced, especially for an independent business. If you visit you have to try one of the cakes and the freshly made juices! I’ve never bought anything from the shop myself, but they have a good selection of gifts, food, jewellery, decorations, a lot of it locally made, I think it’d be great if you’re looking for Christmas presents!

Lovely afternoon tea with daughter and neice. We pre ordered the sandwiches to suit our tastes. When they came out there were a couple that we didn't ask for. The staff were very good and without essatation they quickly changed them for us. Cakes were delicious as was the scones. We couldn't finish them all so they boxed us up the rest to take home. The shop arrea is full of lovely little gifts and cards. Well worth a look.

I love this place! I used to fo fairly regularly but unfortunately hadn't been for a couple of years. I returned 4th September 2019 and it was just as gorgeous as I had remembered. The cakes are divine, and the menu appetising, the only issue is choosing what you want!! Still selling lots of unusual cards and lovely gifts. Booking for the tea shop is definitely advised

Quite a novel and friendly set up in the middle of a village. Open fire pit, shelter for a few people if it's raining. Great waffles with generous toppings and kids enjoyed toasting the marshmallows on the fire.

An interesting menu, helpful staff and the craft shop has some real gems. By having an arrangement with the pub opposite the main bugbear, ok my bugbear, parking has been addressed. Easy to get to, park up cross the road and get sat down. It can get busy and booking a table for larger groups essential. Well worth a visit although maybe avoid dawdling in the front, could get distracted
