Found a vehicle which was being broken for parts so I enquired via the online chat and was dealt with by Nathan who was extremely helpful. He sent over photos of the items and provided a payment link once I was happy. I went to collect the parts earlier today and was very pleased with how organised the facility is. Clean waiting area, staff were friendly and I didn't have to wait long at all.

Bought an untested engine which was fine and it came with a 3 month warranty which I was ok with, however before the engine was delivered they contacted me to say there was a compression fault with the engine, but how did they know as it was sold untested? I got a full refund but maybe it would be better to test all engines before offering for sale as it wastes your time and mine, thanks.

Collection was easy and smooth, but the organisation need to improve on communicating with customers because at the point of purchase I was told that they will email me when the product is ready which they never did until I contacted the support after several days of waiting. They offered me a price for my car, I accepted; they came to collect it, Glyn was on the dot and good to deal with; they paid up same day, no quibbles. All good, I'd definitely use them again. Car was a 17 year old Fiat, bodywork sound but not perfect. My son had driven his mum from Derbyshire to Kent and back a couple of weeks back, just for a day trip, so obviously it's a dependable car - unless son and missus are crackers of course. Reason I mention this is that Synetiq offered £145, and since I needed shot of it, and had bought it two years ago for only £500, I was happy with that, being a care worker doing every hour God sends and no time to hold out for more, if more is even available. We Buy Any Car offered £170, but when I drove there the guy didn't even have to leave his office to look at the car to tell me that, if there were any blemish, or a fault on the scale of one key rather than two, their offer would be £50. So they were saying £170, but really meant, get in our office and we'll change £170 to £50, take it or leave it. I'd rather have binned the car than deal with people with that kind of business practice. I told Synetiq it was a solid car, average bodywork, drove OK. They gave me a price and stuck to it, like honest reliable people. Good enough for me.

This is the second time my family has used this company and very good quotes. I was quoted for a car which needed a starter motor, they quoted me £100 less to sell my car which we thought was totally acceptable. So we accepted the quote. He came and picked up my car and took it away. Recieved a call later to say they were giving me that £100 back because it was running fine. That goes to show they are honest people and not out to just rip you off! Excellent service! Sadly we won't be using them again to sell our car as we've bought a brand new car however If we ever need parts I will check here first! Thank you for such a great service!

Great at getting parts but their system for social distancing simply doesn't work and the parts department needs to be more organised. Split out the people who have actually bought and paid for their items already to the people who have no idea what parts they need. Was incredibly frustrating waiting in a queue of 5 people taking 50 minutes when my actual transaction took 5 minutes!

What can I say? I live in Leeds and needed a part for my car (non mechanical, just a panel) and when I read the reviews I was mortified. I was very much in two minds as the call centre wanted bank transfer and wouldn't take card payments over phone to secure the panel. I took a chance and visited them in person and the person at parts counter was wonderful and couldn't have been much better, he got my panel, took card payment and before I paid he made sure I was happy with the panel and even gave me the option to return it, if for whatever a reason there was something else wrong with it. I know parts such as mechanical is always a risky option as it's a salvage but for panels etc I would highly recommend them and visit them if your within 30 to 60 minutes of driving as you would save on p&p and you can see it before paying for it.

Although I was disappointed by the quality of the packaging that created the initial problem, the way that the issues were dealt with was exemplary and an impressive display of best practice. Loads of parts available for loads of cars. A wheel and good tyre for my son's Suzuki Alto for £30 is a decent enough price. It was busy so service was a bit slow, but that is probably because it was a Saturday morning. The parts are all off the shelf and the staff were friendly. Will go back quite happily should I need something else. If they have a depot local to you you can generally pick things up from there or they will ship to your address but check the cost.

Ordering online and actually trying to get the part ready for collection was a nightmare as kept getting told different stories. Once it was finally sorted, visiting and collecting from branch was spot on and the guy behind the counter was very helpful and speedy in his collection of the part for me and his overall service 👍

Whats not to like; they sell auto parts from scrapped cars. No need to go through the scrap yard with spanners crawling wrecks in the freezing cold. They do all the graft for you so you don't have to. If its already on the shelf it takes less than 10 minutes. What would be nice is a little customer coffee dispenser.

Had lots of good history but more as motor hog good buys etc... But I think to sell as a car as runs and drives... Clearly on the invoice, auction sale etc... And then when the car is delivered a hole in the engine... Snapped steering rack and subframe ripped out clearly not described right... Think the hole in the engine and clearly written on the passenger window non runner after the picts taken is defo mis selling.......yes its salvage but defo mis sold Update.. They have made contact and offered to go half's on the engine. So not 100% percent Happy but its resolved..

Excellent speedy service. I enquired about an alloy on the website, unfortunately they didn't have any available but offered me 4 wheels with part worn tyres for £150!!!!! I then got this reduced by £20 for the scrap value of my old wheels. I turned up at 17:15, they had the old wheels off and the new wheels on in 10 minutes and gave me a spare locking wheel nut that they had as I had lost mine. Really impressed with the lads.

First time I have been to motorhog to get a part for my car and was impressed with the service that I received. After fitting the part to my car it was found to be faulty so I went back with it. On arrival I was greeted in a friendly polite manor. When I explained what the problem was with the part they just asked me if they had another part would that be ok, which I replied yes. within half an hour I was on my way home, the part is now fitted and working fine. I gave them £30 for a starter motor and they did nothing but bend over backwards for me to help find a starter motor that fit my vehicle. In the end they sold me a faulty starter motor with a bad clutch. They gave me my whole £30 back even after bringing 4 starter motors off 4 individual engines. The team will help with anything and try to get you the correct part but keep in mind, they're picking out parts out of scrap.

CHEAP QUALITY PARTS, bought loads of used parts from them, the attitude is basically foul and rude but that is offset by the cheap prices, hence why they are as big as they are , the staff seam to think that if the part no doesnt match that means its the wrong part, but don't seam to realize manufacturers change the part no's every few months on the same parts to stop the fake pattern part sellers and other reasons like new supplier so you need to explain this to them or most times they say part is wrong, defo a lack of skillset here, BUT as the price talks, would you rather pay £30 for a fuse box with some attitude from the THE HOG or £90 somewhere else with a friendly handshake? a bonnet audi s3 £90 anywhere else £300! Golf mk6 bonnet £75 anywhere else £225, all perfect used condition! Infact never had a issue with any of there body panels in colour. Again the money is what puts THE HOG at the top list of most trade buyers and the largest scrap breakers in uk! You want friendly handshakes/ cups ov tea or conversations go and pay double you want CHEAP quality parts go to the THE HOG! Wouldnt buy a car from them as there well known to hide the damage but if its cheap which is very rarely the case as staff are usually biddin them up from what ive heard!

I needed a Hyundai i40 NSR hub I tried every where no body had it in stock and for some reason no body was Breaking this car then my local garage KS autos gave me the number for motorhog I rang motor they told me they did not have that car but would source that part for me within 24hrs. Tues.2nd May. Drove from Sunderland to collect parts for my Daughters Nissan Juke, staff were busy after Bank Hol. weekend, but the service was still excellent. Motherhog gives a fast and very a ifishant service at all times,the staff may look a bit oily. But frendley staff are hard to find, but l suppose that the oil is 70%of the job, but the speed of the service that l received was sum of the beast that l have ever had from any shop.
