The people at Dofos are always so welcoming and helpful. There's lots of great and interesting treats. Nothing beats going into a brick and mortar shop and letting your dog choose for themselves. We'll be back again soon. Pic of my pup enjoying her Dofos' pizza. 🍕

Used to order from this local shop when we lived in Leith and always had the best service there, then when we moved further out to Granton and I couldn't make the trip that far due to my mobility issues. But then recently I realised Dofps' new website made it EXTRA easy to order and get free delivery. Their prices are very reasonable, sometimes the same as WAY bigger online retailers, and it's awesome to be supporting a local business. They stock really good grainfree products and I really feel more comfortable buying from them now that they have stopped selling small pets and rodents! All in all, very pleased and will be trying their grooming services soon!

The owners and staff here couldn’t be more helpful, they really care and give genuine valuable advice when choosing products or food suitable for your beloved animal companions… Not only that but they sell an incredible range of organic nutritious and totally natural foods, they also sell a huge range of everything that you would want in a pet shop and more… I am now a confirmed regular and no longer shop at big supermarkets style pet shops… There is just no comparison. You have a fantastic shop and your staff are extremely well trained and knowledgeable. Good on you guys for getting it spot-on, and hats off to you for what you have achieved!! My dog was booked in to get groomed and I was quoted £40, I explained to the groomer she had a few tufts and he never said anything when I returned to pick her up was told the bill was £45 and I asked why was told as she had tufts that was extra I was not told that at the time I handed her over the groomer walked away from me when I asked him why he never explained that to me, the staff would were not helpful and was left dissatisfied. Happy with the haircut not after service.

I initially called to ask about a brand of kitten food I'd been using. The staff advised me that there were much better options available for around the same price so I went into the store. The assistant explained that my cat's regular food wasn't very nutritionally rich. She recommended a new food that our kitten loves and contains much more meat. It also has added seaweed to support the cat's dental health. The store offered a money back guarantee on the smaller pack of this food in case the cat didn't like it. They also offer a delivery service. Awesome.

This is the best place to get pet food in town. Amazing staff and selection of products. No, it's not cheap but you get what you pay for. Always helpful people there to answer questions and then there's Royston, the friendly shop doggo. He's just supervising. And Koko, the shop's African Grey. Great place.

I can't recommend the shop the stock or the staff highly enough. The level of service is outstanding they can't do enough to please you and ask you your requirements instead of selling you just anything. The staff are very knowledgeable about their stock and all the animals that they cater for, it's a completely different experience than going somewhere like pets at home. Very good pet supplies shop and they sell some reptiles and small pets like guinnea pigs and rabbits. They have a vast array of cat toys and accessories like collars, catnip, toys etc. They even have 2 resident cats in the shop. Edinburgh's premier pet shop and has a long established reputation from the days they were based at the end of London Road.

How can you resist a pet shop which has two incredibly fat, incredibly lazy and incredibly friendly cats in it at all times? Great wee pet shop in the heart of Edinburgh and, most importantly, they deliver huge bags of cat litter to your door for next to nothing. Excellent.

I'll confess that part of the reason I visit here is because of the two resident moggies, one a sleek black and white cat, the other a huge ball of long fur. Aside from giving those felines a quick stroke, it's a good place to stock up on treats, litter and the occasional cat nip mouse. Before having cats, I once got a hamster from here too – the boldest small creature I have ever encountered – and he loved the dried sweetcorn cobs they sell.
