Awesome supplies, lovely staff. Some things may be a little pricey, but at the same time there's also the widest variety of affordable sketchbooks I've ever seen. The store is small, but has just about everything. (I literally don't know how they fit in all these things, I bet there's some magic in play.)

Lovely and very helpful staff members. It's hard not to purchase the entire shop. Quality is really high and there's a broad range of utensils available. From paper, agendas, pencils, watercolour to crafty things they basically cover it all. The shop is on ground floor. No steps to get in. The store is narrow but has enough space to be socially distanced. The till are is big and you can pay contactless. It's a tiny bit harder to access with a wheelchair though. The staff members are surely very happy to help out should you need anything and you're in a wheelchair (I am not in a wheelchair but i just thought about it). My fave shop to visit when i need paper, books and pencils.

This is a gem of a place. It's locally ran and they have soooo much stuff crammed into a small space and the staff are incredibly helpful. My son and I have shopped here over the years for bits and bobs. They have very good alcohol inks for resin crafts.

This is a great little place. Packed to the ceiling with all things art and craft. Found a decent roll of 4mm wide double sided tape perfect for repairing album covers. They have a fine selection of pens too. Friendly, helpful staff.

I always enjoy browsing an art shop and this is just the place to go scribble with pens and feeling the weight of paper. This store has a pretty large range of high quality art materials and the prices are acceptable for what your buying. You probably could get it cheaper off the internet, but you'd miss the physicality.

It's a great place with good quality art supplies, but it is very cramped, so it's not very comfortable to move around. Great variety in prices, and they also have a student discount!

It's a good Art Shop if you don't look for anything to out of a standard range. Last time I was there the watercolor paper choice only reached from Daler Rowney to the Langton, with maybe a few Windsor & Newton, or Bockingford pads here and there. So if you're looking for Canson, Fabriano or Hahnenmühle pads you will not necessary find much. They got a few Copic, Pitt and W&N marker as well as Fineliner from various brands. In terms of paint I could mostly just spot W&N as the main brand. I feel this shop is having so much potential and it's good to have a look around since it's not entirely organised and random finds got their charms. But what makes me sad is that there is not much to find in terms on brands that are more advanced or a bit out of the standard. I hope this shop manages to get a more interesting selection, because I feel with every visit it's getting a bit more sparse.

This is not just any art shop. Everything from the decoration and aesthetic thought (like the tiny origami birds they give away for free) to the notice board and welcome area that buzzes with Edinburghs zeitgeist underworld makes this the best art shop in Edinburgh. Apart from being cool and warm and inviting it is also a serious art shop that sells everything you could possibly want to make art. Though the staff are very knowledgable about art and design they do not look down their noses at the rest of us... They are among the friendliest staff I have ever encountered in any kind of shop.
