Reviews of George Pirie Antiques

I happened upon this place with my daughter and spent a very relaxed half an hour or more exploring. There's a really good mix of stuff over 3 floors and although I'm no expert, a lot of the prices seemed reasonable. The guy who was in attendance was very helpful and knowledgeable. Well worth a visit in my opinion - we'll be back!

Love, love, love my shopping experience at the stunning Howe Street shop called George Pirie Antiques. I was looked after by two very handsome young men........the owner George and the manager David. I only visited the shop for a little look around but was so impressed that I bought quite a few items. I was offered free delivery and more so, I had the joy of being guided to enable me to have my new oil painting placed in the perfect place. The young men instantly became my Personal Shoppers. I honestly thought that this type of service no longer existed. So good to be proved wrong !!!
You must pop in the next time you are in the Stockbridge/Newtown are of Auld Reekie. I was able to park for free right outside the shop which is almost unknown these days.
My most pricey item was £900 and my cheapest purchase was £5. George Pirie Antiques certainly does offer a wide range of goodie to all.
It may sound a tad silly but please allow me to mention that I was free to bring my dog into the shop whilst browsing with a complimentary coffee. Like I said, I was offered a truly Personal Shopping experience which brought me so much joy and that is such a rare thing these days.

Lovely antique shop with eclectic selection of interesting merchandise. Found a lovely Victorian ring for a good price. Would happy return and browse again!
