G. J.I love libraries. I do. They’re brilliant. Macdonald Road library is a bit of a cracker too. I mostly like it because it’s open a couple of evenings a week, as well as on a Saturday (hooray for accessible hours), and because the staff are friendly and cheery. No stern looks from librarians here.
It’s a shame that the electronic check in and out machines hardly ever work, but that’s a small quibble. It’s rare that I head away from here without a couple of books tucked under my arm, as it’s got a good fiction section. It’s also got a decent sized foreign language section, great audiobooks, and self-serve reservations. Great if you’re looking for something in particular – you can order it and collect at your leisure.

S. B.A library that is owned by the food chain of the same name. The acquisition of the library was made in 1983 and since then most of the literature has been replaced with books about Ronald McDonald and photos of the Hamburgler
