Oh what lovely lovely shops ! They have an impressive range of beautiful stationery and gifts, many created by local artists or printers. Double whammy for me, I get to buy gorgeous stuff and feel virtuous as I'm supporting local artists and businesses.Oh and they deliver if that works better for you. Highly recommended.

An absolute gem! A brilliant place to get cards and gifts, especially presents for children. I have been really impressed with their online ordering (including the gift wrapping option) throughout the pandemic too. The staff in both branches are lovely and they are a Living Wage employer - what's not to like?

Although I live in London I have been ordering cards and calendars from Paper Tiger as they have a really beautiful selection, well packaged and delivered swiftly. Amazing gift shop! The gift selection is great, staff is friendly, and it's always nice to have a browse in store. They also have a great website with fast delivery. I would also recommend you sign up to their newsletter, it's a good one and you get sent discount codes every once in a while.

Paper Tiger is an Edinburgh institution! Whether I'm looking for a unique card for a special occasion, a treat bar of chocolate, a thoughtful gift for a best friend or a last minute present for a kids birthday party, I know I will find something at Paper Tiger. I LOVE this shop and it's just around the corner from where I live - bonus!! Whenever I buy their gift wrap and cards for friends, some family and work colleagues they almost always remark upon the beautiful paper, gift bags and cards. It's a little gem I'm happy to have stumbled across about a year ago. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because it is undeniably on the pricey side. However, I feel the quality and individuality of their products somewhat make up for that.

Fantastic gem just round the corner from Haymarket train station. The shop is full of amazing (usually hand crafted) products. The staff are always warm and welcoming and quick to help you if you need it. It is a smaller shop but they have done really well with setting up a one way system and enforcing social distancing. Always a fantastic experience and one of my favourite shops in Edinburgh.

Simply jam packed with interesting things. Not just a card shop but there is a great selection of those for every conceivable situation. Notebooks, stationery, toys, gifts, books, wrapping paper and crafting materials available too makes this a veritable one stop shop.

Lovely little shop, mainly specialising in cards but also stocking giftwrap and a small but perfectly formed selection of gifts. Staff are lovely and there's also a branch on Lothian Road. This one has a lower level down a flight of stairs so possibly less accessible. Deducting one star as its quite expensive - it would be good if they had a budget range for when you have to buy a card for someone less special!

I popped in here a couple of weeks ago looking for a few birthday cards and found a quirky wonderland! A sterling alternative to paperchase, Paper Tiger really seem to be doing things right. In the same sort of category as Red Door Gallery in Victoria street but with more range and a bigger store. If your looking for the worlds smallest postal service kit, a rocketship keyring or some really unique wrapping paper and cards this is the place to go.

I love stationary! There's no greater pleasure than getting a fresh notebook, especially ones which are so pretty. Paper Tiger has a whole host of books, gift wrap and stationary which make the perfect stocking fillers throughout the year.

Paper Tiger has become my go-to shop for cards, partly because I work around the corner, but partly because they rival paperchase on price and variety. They’ve got pretty much everything covered, and stock both quirkly local artists as well as more traditional cards for your gran. I also think their local delivery system is a stroke of genuis. My only quibble is that they tend to go a bit overboard at certain times of year (Mother’s day, Valentines) to the detriment of the “blank for any occasion” range.
