This wonderful tiny shop sells vintage jewellery from the 1800s onwards and they have a huge selection of vintage silver. The two gentlemen are very knowledgeable in the background and history of the style and stones of their items. They can bring you books and a wealth of information on whichever piece you’re interested in. They still remember the items I bought 8 years ago. Every item is explained throughly from the provenance of the gemstone, gold, style and era of the design. Victorian jewellery and silver are their specialty, especially Scottish estate jewellery.

I have travelled to Edinburgh from Ireland and this is probably one of the best jewlers I have ever come across. The staff are extremely welcoming and deliver a very pleasant service. I was astounded by the range of amazing antiques and jewellery. I ended my trip to Edinburgh in their shop and I'm happy to say I will be coming back. I wish them luck and hope the business stays running for years to come. 😁🥰

This is a special store amidst a sea of tartan tat. Royal Mile Curios is a warren of gorgeous silver, watches, and estate pieces. The owners are gracious, knowledgeable and generous with their time. My small purchase came with silver hallmarks, and the gentlemen offered loupe and hallmark guide to show the provenance of the piece. They then offered advice on travel, Edinburgh in general and local dining. One of the most special Edinburgh moments for me.

Martin & Lewis are the real deal in a nest of souvenir hawkers. I have purchased gifts here for my lady and never felt the need to question their integrity. It is self evident. Highly recommended!
