H.An amazing social enterprise filled with so much local talent all in one place. If you are looking for unique gifts for Xmas time or birthdays etc then this is the place to go. I've bought myself some gorgeous pieces in the past. Also fantastic for original art pieces if you are looking to decorate your home.
R. S.The place to go, if you want to shop for local products. Wide selection from soaps to jewelry and everything between. Google maps shows the old location, but search with the address, so you find the right place.
C. A.We stumbled across this amazing place by chance. A lovely space brimming with unique pieces by Scottish artists. (Funds from the purchases go back to the artists.) A wonderful selection of unique gifts - either for yourself or for someone else. Definitely worth a visit
M. C.On a recent trip to Edinburgh, we were keen to find somewhere selling locally sourced Edinburgh memorabilia and souvenirs so that we could give something back to the local community. Our tour guide suggested The Scottish Design Exchange and this led to over an hour of enjoyable browsing through a large number of products from local artists. The items we bought were reasonably priced, good quality and now evoke fond memories of our trip whenever we use them, thanks so much!

B. T.We found two wonderful original paintings by artist Ian Kinsley, as well as awesome Edinburgh illustrations by Liana Morley. Tons of artists and makers represented. Fine art, modern art, crafts, soap, candles, greeting cards, etc. All of the sales go to the creator - the SDX doesn’t take a commission. Very cool. Will visit again next time we’re in Edinburgh.
S. P.Concept store in Ocean Terminal, with an ever changing array of brightly designed products, all from Scotland, a wonderful range of Scottish jewllery, fashion, art, books, furniture and many other items.
