Quite an experience, even just for a few minutes. The smell instantly transports you to December, no matter what the month may be. Lots of cute decorations and christmas goods for sale with character. Shop owner is super friendly. All in all, very well put together.

We popped in for a quick visit on the 29th November as my four year old was very excited with all the Christmas decorations. The cold weather had given him a cough and he was struggling a bit in the shop. The woman behind the counter was extremely kind and offered us a hot water and honey. She was very patient and even though the shop was busy she left the counter to get him a drink. He had a good few drinks and his cough subsided. This was an incredibly gesture and was totally unprompted. We were also wished a Merry Christmas when leaving. Honestly what a lovely shop and the the spirit of Christmas definitely went beyond the gifts on display. We got two lovely personalized tree decorations as well. Thank you.

Super Christmas shop that is small but mighty. They have the most beautiful ornaments and decorations, nonstop Christmas music, and lovely keepsakes that make for nice gifts too. I got some personalised ornaments here for my family and some friends that were beautiful. And the guy who worked in the shop provided some great conversation while we shopped (as well as customisation options while we were deciding what to have written on the pieces). Even if you just want a dose of Christmas spirit, stop by the shop! I recommend it. And yes, they’re open all year long.

I had already googled The Nutcracker Christmas Shop before my trip to Edinburgh & your photos are great but being inside was amazing. Warm friendly staff who wished you Merry Christmas, warm friendly enviroment that smelt gorgeous, fanstatic displays & selection, all different price ranges so something for everyone. To say I was excited was an understatement. I went in Friday & Saturday & just couldnt help myself & bought a good selection of things. To the owner, you need to open a store in London & I will run it for you 😊 Thank you for a pleasurable shopping experience.

Best Christmas shop in Edinburgh. Better than the other on we went to agg to the other end of the Mile. It’s bigger, has better quality decorations at a cheaper price and the woman in the shop is far more friendly.

I've reviewed this shop favourably before but it's worth many more gold stars! The atmosphere is amazing - they even spray the place with Christmas aromas - cinnamon, frankincense and vanilla. The staff also get right into the Christmas spirit, singing carols and wishing you a Happy Christmas (in the middle of April!) The range of stock is wonderful. I could spend £1000 pounds it it easily! DON'T miss this place on your visit to Edinburgh. 🌲
