There are special monopoly! Scotland one and Edinburgh one! Super cool and good price. Books are cheap, short bread is very very cheap.

Beautiful shop and products to spend your time in home 🏠

Amazing prices and deals for books, diy kits, and crafts materials. Went in only wanting to get a book and came out with a full bag of diy kits and an obnoxious red buzzer. Not complaining in the least.

Love this shop, they always have deals on even though prices are great already and the staff are friendly and polite. If you need some Scottish pens, magnets, books, tshirts, tablet/fudge etc you won't find them cheaper in the city centre than in this shop, which is handy at Christmas time when buying stocking/hamper fillers for family overseas. Highly recommend!

This store is really big and has a wide number of products available at affordable prices. Here we found a huge variety of books, for kids and adults as well. There were also lot of craft items available, we purchased the DIY crafts.
Good work.. Great stuff and a very helpful staff.

The Works is known for books, toys, gifts, stationery and arts & crafts. You will discover a huge range of products at great value prices. Every year more than 40,000 products are sold. At The Works, you will always find something unique from educational products to beautiful collection of gifts. I love the works and will be shopping soon again for Easter.

It's great value for money. The staff are attentive and helpful. The only reason for 4 not 5 starts id thre shops frustrating layout. It's hard to jabbe a lon at something properly if you'll be standing in someone's way regardless.
I am a big fan of the works, the loyalty scheme is an asset. I recommend if you do shop here even just twice a year it's worth it.
I love the world and regularly shop there and do an online delivery every winter. This particular branch isn't my favourite due to cramped displays, at time's precarious. I've witnessed people kneeling over sick in thirds shop actually.
I believe this branch seems to be more popular with tourists, perhaps less adequate communication skills in manoeuvring between one another instore had a part to play?
The staff are all Very helpful. I'd appreciate staff saying excuse me first, rather than bashing past and apologising. That can be avoided. I'd rather have the courtesy of asking ne to move out the way first, than an automatic apology as they stride past. I know the staff member didn't even stop to say excuse me, the leave was consistent from beginning to end I understand these stre cramped working conditions and perhaps the staff get equally frustrated?
It's still a shop I love, but I'd not be in this one any more than three times a year maximum?
Disabled entrance. Bottled water and sweets on sale. No public toilet on the premises.

This retail outlet offers more than what you seek. Collection is incredible in terms of gifts and books. I was very happy as I found the perfect Christmas gift for my loved one. The Works really works.

Jam packed with deals. Mostly cheap merchandise and discount books. You need a Scotland trinket to take home to a friend? Done. Some staionary to get you by? Absolutely. UK Driver manual? Got it. I always come here first when I need something random. Be prepared to deal with crowded aisles because other people want those deals too.
