a. g.Shop was clean and well stocked. Not too busy. Was here for rabbit and gerbil treats and toys and found everything I needed quickly. Always spend an extra 10 minutes in pets at home just looking at the animals for sale and adoption. We come regularly to one store or another to stock up on supplies.
A. B.By far the best pets at home shop I’ve been to, there’s always my cat’s favourite kitten food available, applaws in tins. Super friendly people at the toll, too.
A. N.Got a wee cavapoo puppy just after Christmas and we have had good advice from the staff. The products on offer are excellent and would recommend.

Store wasn't too busy but did have staff on hand to help with queries.
Bought a hamster and accessories. Man serving us was knowledgeable and ran through a list of dos and donts. Having owned hamsters before he whizzed through it but made sure we knew what we were doing. The prices were very reasonable and we were pleased with the stuff we purchased for the new hamster. They had rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and hamsters in one area. There was an adoption area with rabbit and guinea pig in it and further into the store aas a reptile area. Would definitely go back even though its not my local one.

Have a great selection of stock for cats with plenty of toys, beds, food and litter. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
The kittens are now at home after a little bumpy ride home and are tucking in nicely to their new food. Nomnomnom.

F. D.Dog friendly pet shop. It doesn't have a huge variety of pets to purchase but a good amount of supplies. There's a dog groomers inside and a veterinarian clinic.
Prices are what you'd expect from a store like this, not too cheap, not too expensive, but somewhere in between.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking spaces are available and are close to the entrance.

B. H.I received great service here from an advisor I think his name was Alex. We were visiting to get all the essentials before picking up our new kitten and he couldn’t have been more helpful. He didn’t just answer my question about litter trays he basically helped us with every aspect of our shop, giving some great tips we didn’t know about and recommended great items. The pollockshaws store is closer to me however they weren’t as helpful/friendly so I think I’ll stick to the forge!

But be sure to call them first before you intend to buy alot, because they have a strict filtering, to protect there fish 🐠,, which are well above half decent,, they do sell plenty of other things like rabbits n gunny pigs, etc, etc, etc,...

H.Very helpful service from Vets for Pets at this store. We were looking for some special food for our cat with urinary issues and needed it quickly as we’re going on holiday. We called ahead and the lady on the phone was really helpful in tracking down the last two boxes of food they had and making sure we get them

I use the “collect from store” option ...... I stopped having the food delivered to my home because the Courier, DPD, somehow always manages to crush some of the tins, which is really annoying. This is sometimes so bad the tins are split open.

D. R.Always love visiting pets at home. Wide range of foods and goods for most pets and have lovely areas for pets for sale. Along with this they have a groomer area and a vet area at the back of store.
My only down side is there just isn't enough staff in the store. I have seen myself walking around the full store trying to find a staff member on multiple occasions. But when you do find a staff member they are always polite and as helpful as they can be.

D.Convenient pet shop. Good selection of products for all common pets. They also sell a variety of small animals (rabbits, hamsters etc) aswell as fish. In store also has a pet groomers & vet surgery. Staff all very friendly & helpful. The only downside is that it's a bit over priced.

T. 2.The girl who helped us with fish was lovely but she was rushed off her feet as apart from the girl on the desk there seemed to be no other staff.
The lady on the reception desk at the vets was also really helpful when we were asking for advice on puppies.

Not the usual pets at home I would visit. But was in the area and had a walk around. Different style of store seems a bit tight with everything closer together compared to the other stores I have gone to. I am not sure how it would be earlier in the day or on a wkend with family's and pets walking around I wouldn't like to experiance it either if it's busy.
Products.....
Not much more than you would expect from other pets at home stores. But if your looking for something in the range of toys, leads, clothing and things other than food you might see something different. Probably the only difference in stock between stores could be the range of luxuries that you can purchase for pets these days. I notice that there is a range of products in seasonal celebrations from Easter, Halloween to Christmas. I recently noticed ranges to suit pets in *PRIDE* supporting their owners choices in life and equality for everyone in society.
Expense......
Really depends on what your looking for....
Food offers on multibuy's and mix and match the usual 3 for 2 on treats etc.
Probably not far off the costs at other retailers but I find the difference here to be on the higher side of prices from different suppliers if your looking at clothing, bedding toys etc. The prices aren't overly expensive if I consider time spent shopping about to find a lower price for something I can get here I would buy from here and not feel conned.
Staff......
Organised, always on the move working and available to lend a hand and give advice. If they are doing something that's not involving another customer they will stop and give you their time and positively advice you on anything. If they aren't sure they will get someone who is more experienced to advice you.
They don't sell you expensive products they point you in the rite direction and away from cheaper options. Not what it seems if you think they are trying to profit the company. They talk you through the difference in products explaining why cheaper options aren't great. Then after advising on alternatives you can choose from a number of ranges at different levels of pricing so it's still your choice to decide on what you pay rather than being left thinking you were talked into the more expensive products.
And I don't want to leave out the warm friendly WELCOME you and your pet receive with water and treats available to your pet as a thank you at the till. Staff don't put on a smile for your benefit they are genuinely happy to be at work and to assist you.
Location is good out of the city in a retail park. I would advice tho to check the football schedule of Celtic F.C as their home matches can cause heavy congestion in the area best to avoid on match days.
Parking is easy and out with Celtic F.C home games and Christmas shopping their are always spaces available. Their is no undercover parking here but close enough to store is easy.
