The knowledge of the staff is outstanding. Not only they are extremely friendly, they also are keen active listeners; as a customer I felt looked after and cared for. I also didn't feel judged or side eyed or treated any differently for being queer presenting, but made feel fully comfortable. This IS the place if you want to get your boardgames.

One of the best collection of games I've seen in one place. Most places just have the base boxes of popular titles. Here you can find the expansions and other more harder to find gems. Went in planning just to have a look, walked out £200 lighter!

I love this place. Fantastic, wide selection of games from almost any category you can think of (including expansions too!) Countless times I've compared prices on Amazon and found that these guys have matched the price in store. To add to that, the staff are knowledgeable and will help as much as you need with questions and guidance. I've even managed get some newly released Kickstarter items in store before others have had them delivered! Sale selection has some amazingly priced gems in it usually too. I picked up a game in the sale recently for £20 and its become one of my favourites (just to prove that they're not selling sub standard stuff in the sales!) Beware if visiting though, as there's a high chance you'll leave with a new boardgame...

Fantastic shop for all kinds of tabletop gaming. Friendly staff, good range of games and accessories stocked and reasonable prices (they always seem to have at least a few games at clear out prices too). We're lucky to have a great place like this in Glasgow, so worth supporting them!

Tabletop gaming store with a wide selection of games, one of the widest I have seen, in fact. Interestingly they have a mainstream board game section in addition to a vast array of hobby games. The staff are not pushy and happy to let you browse in peace, which is great. They also have a section of second hand/vintage RPG items. These seem a little bit over priced compared to eBay, but it’s great that they offer them.

This little board game shop has much more than it seems. Their collection is large and there's a very good selection of RPGs. I was sad I couldn't buy more, but I wouldn't have had more space in my lugagge! Absolutely recommended if you like board games. The staff is very friendly as well!

The staff here are massively knowledgeable about games, and they have an incredible array of boardgames available. Although they didn't have the game I was looking for, the staff did direct me to a reliable website where it could be purchased. I've never been disappointed with a visit to static.

There aren't too many games shops in Glasgow so I really appreciate Static Games. On more than one occasion I've found products there for a cheaper price than at online retailers. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable but are also happy to give you space if you just feel like quietly browsing. My only negative point is the location, I wish it was closer to the city centre as it always feels far away from other things I need to be doing in town. As it is I'm usually only able to visit when I have a reason to rather than being able to drop by because I'm in the area. Although I expect being closer to the city centre would raise prices so it would be a trade-off.

I work near here and pop in loads for magic singles. Guys who work there are nice, good chat :) reasonable prices :) wish there was play space but that's not their fault. Huge range of board, card and tabletop games! Magic cards organised by colour in folders which I love because it's a huge time saver for me :)

Cracking games shop in the heart of the merchant city. A great range of the latest board and card games, with a large section devoted to RPGs. Staff are friendly and helpful - if you're not sure or feel intimidated by the range of products on offer, do t be afraid to ask someone - I have always found the people working here knowledgeable and happy to assist.

Used to be that this was one of the only places you could get boardgames in Glasgow, other places have opened up but none of them have the selection that static do. They used to have and might still have a loyalty card program, and you used to get a discount if you were a member of G3 gamers, I don’t know if this is still the case.

Great selection of games so loads to choose from, this shop is a favourite of mine because they sell mtg singles and have really organised binders with the prices so no shocks at the till. (they also have other singles yugio, pokemon etc and boosters/expansions). As a magic player I'd recommend just for the binders!

Great collection of board games, and not just the uber geeky kind either, pretty sure I seen some mbs in there. The prices a very reasonable, quite often cheaper than whsmith and amazon. They also stock a large collection of d&d and other more hard core board game paraphernalia. The staff are very helpful and friendly and will not judge you if you ask them where they keep pop up pirate.

Unfortunately they didn't have the original game we where looking for, but with the great help of an enthousiastic seller we managed to walk out with another game we could play that eve. Definitely a shop to return to when in need for a quick game, advise or something totally different as a gift.

Excellent place for Yu-Gi-Oh cards and other geek things but I do love it for my Yu-Gi-Oh but other people could love it for other things as it does do alot but don't get confused because A1Toys they both are the same company but A1Toys sells different things than Static Games sell. I found that out the hard way.
