The third floor has an amazing couch space. Must visit, very comfortable.

A great space to study, though it's very hard to get a seat during the exam period or weeks 6-11 of each semester. Currently there are daily queues to get into the library in the morning.

Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent facilities (Self-service machine and laptop borrowing). The library offers one of the best view as well (Level 11). The Inter-Library Loans service is really good.

First rate, excellent facilities, best collection in the area. The staff are very helpful, the coffee and food is first rate and the staff at the coffee shop are polite and very helpful, even given the number of people they have to serve every day. I love this place, massive number of computers, quiet study areas, private group rooms, librarians are very helpful and professional, security keep a tight ship too. It's the best library I have ever used. If you can get access ever even for a short time, then you should come to this place, you could learn anything the world has to offer, from within these walls, if only they could speak... G...

Unfortunately the cafe was shut, but overall excellent! COVID protection measures are in place. So don't worry about coming into study during this pandemic. I recommend bringing a laptop in as it was extremely difficult to find a free PC.

Library has been adapted well to covid, 2m space ensured between every station and all computers have decontamination instructions as their home screen, lifts are socially distanced. More generally, the library shelving system is slightly unusual but intuitive, and you can find what you need without major hassle.

This library is and has long been world-class in terms of the breadth of its collections (much of which is stored off-site), their inter-library loan service, their special collections, their policies on collecting, preservation, and security, research reputation, and staff competency. I knock a star off because despite its excellence, the number of students regularly overwhelms their capacity for many hours on a daily basis - even during rather quiet times of the year. They really need to build another study library building containing mostly study space, PC/laptop areas, and a duplicate short-loan collection. That means students in the main library are there to be more collections orientated, as many just use the library for study/pc space and to eat! The toilets also leave much to be desired, and whilst the books are not for show, greater steps should be taken to limit student's from damaging books, and moreover to more regularly assess the shelf collections for works needing moved to Special Collections. Also, sandwiches in the dining area are low quality and with meagre fillings. Would happily pay a little more for better quality. This library has a number of very rare books and even unique manuscripts sitting on the regular shelves waiting to be lost, stolen, or damaged. That said, our original observations still stand, and anyone walking through their doors can easily fall in love with their collections. Well done!

Fantastic staff, excellent location and cafe (which is cheaper than anywhere else). My only squabble is the building. Who places a large office-like building in the middle of an ancient campus full of beautiful history and buildings? The building - and I say again, not the safe - takes away from the entire campus. (Hence the 4 out of 5)

It's a great library with sufficient computer. Lots of reading space.

(Translated) The library is a large, modern building, so not all fall enough for the architecture (although I think it is not at all bad to look at). But when it comes to a library, it's whatever the inside counts, and it's simply brilliant. Divided into eleven (twelve?) Floors, they have a huge selection of literature in all disciplines, and the floors are graded according to how much noise is allowed, so that everyone who wants it can find study places as needed, be it a colloquium, one to one, or completely silent. (Hooray, an oxford comma!) In addition, the staff are very friendly, both professionals and security guards, and they are all receptive to feedback. You will not be disappointed at the university library. (Original) Biblioteket er eit stort, moderne bygg, så ikkje alle fell nok for arkitekturen (skjønt eg synest det er slett ikkje verst å sjå på). Men kva gjeld eit bibliotek, er det jo uansett innsida som tel, og det er rett og slett glimrande. Fordelt på elleve (tolv?) etasjar har dei eit enormt utval av litteratur i alle fagdisiplinar, og etasjane er gradert etter kor mykje støy som er tillaten, slik at alle som ønskjer det, kan finne studieplasser etter behov, det vere seg kollokvie, ein til ein, eller heilt stille. (Hurra, eit oxfordkomma!) I tillegg er personalet svært hyggjelege, så vel fagtilsette som vektarar, og dei er òg alle mottagelege for tilbakemeldingar. Du blir ikkje skuffa på universitetsbiblioteket.
