Really very enjoyable sitting and creating something for a couple of hours; much more intimate and personal than shopping for a gift. Anne was really helpful with both the choice of pot and design of my item, which was a special birthday gift for an old friend. Don't let your inhibitions hold you back, it's possible to create something classy looking with relatively little artistic ability - just keep it simple!

Great way to spend a rainy morning! Ann was really helpful before our booking and on the day. We had a really enjoyable morning and we're looking forward to picking up our pottery pieces. I would highly recommend a visit.

We visited here for a pottery party as part of my wife's birthday. My niece had booked it as a surprise so we didn't know what to expect. My wife had to choose a piece of pottery for all the family to decorate to mark the occasion. With the help of the lady owner she chose a large oval plate with a wide rim. The next couple of hours were spent with each member of the family (eleven of us) drawing a picture around the rim and then signing it. The children had enormous fun personalising the plate and they even had time to chose a study to paint for themselves - a rabbit, a pony and a skateboard! The lady owner was very helpful in guiding us all. You don't even need to be arty. We are due to collect everything all duly glazed in about another week. We can't wait to see what the plate looks like. It was such a novel and fun way to mark my wife's birthday.

Highly overpriced.
My kids spent about an hour painting what are essentially 30p mugs, but are sold there for £12 - and that's the cheapest usable item (there were some trinkets available for 'only' £10).
We left the mugs to be glazed and fired, and picked them up a few days later. No problems there, and in all a satisfactory service. But it's just not worth the money.
The truth is that had I known beforehand I would have just given the place a miss. I tried phoning the shop several times (mobile), and it went straight to answer.
