One of the most memorable bookshops I've ever been inside. Has a cozy coffee section, as well as a lot of cool ideas and books. A hidden gem.

Beautiful cafe/bookshop/venue in a quaint little Shropshire town. Retains many features of the original building and has that feel of an old bookshop you want to get lost in.

Well worth seeking out, absolutely unique and genuine place. Knowledgeable and friendly people (& customers). Hard to leave without buying something, but don't worry about that. Coffee and tea a great experience. Worth a visit even if you think you are not into poetry.

Such an amazing selection of carefully chosen books and a really cool vibe keeping the features of the pharmacy. I'd make a trip to the village just to go to this book shop!

Lovely shop, with beautiful, thoughtful gifts and ideas. Had a delightful flask of tea in the courtyard.

This place is a gem - bare floorboards, warm welcome, smell of coffee. There's cake too! And of course completely enticing books and bookish wares beautifully displayed on original shop fittings from the middle of the last century. Worth travelling for. And Bishop's Castle itself is full of delights...

Quirky cafe in a bookshop. What's not to like? Don't forget to try a cake.

A real gem. Fabulous bookshop with quirky poetry capsules for sale and excellent coffee and tea

Extraordinary. What these guys have achieved for artists is incredible. Heart warming, honest, a genuine platform for people to express themselves. The shop has been dipped into the history of life and pulled back out to give us hope.

this place is like heaven! I've watched it grow from a dusty old building with loads of potential, to a real oasis of books and gifts. The cafe is a delight, with hot drinks and cake that compliment your visit superbly. The hosts are cheerful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and 'at home'. I loved my visit and were it not for the current restrictions to all our lives, would have been back ages ago. If you love poetry, books and wonderful places, then you must visit.

If there were 6 stars, I'd give them to this little place. A random google search brought me to their website, as I was looking for a gift for a friend who's going through troubled times. I couldn't help but fill up the trolley, with things for future birthdays. The parcel arrived today, beautifully packaged up. Thank you. I wish I lived in Shropshire, as I would love to browse

A little piece of heaven, and a wonderful shop, cafe and service. The owner is one of the warmest, kindest people I know, and it shines through in all she does. Sadly COVID lockdowns have meant I can't visit at the moment, but I am longing to return. The owner has a rich background in counselling and poetry as therapy, as well as being a fine poet herself, and her partner is also a poet, and a kind host. Absolutely love this place with its vintage vibe and its generosity. Do check out their online shop, where my husband found some of my Christmas gifts. It is also a bookshop, where you will find books never seen in the chain bookshops.

I can’t visit as often as I would like to this year, but would be there once a week if I could. The displays are frequently changed and always engaging in a shop which has been tastefully restored from the sorry state it was in. The cafe is a delight, the owner gives free consultations and the range of books, cards, pottery, poetry prescriptions and other goods makes me want to spend on myself and friends.

Wonderful bookshop full of quirky gloriousness with a mission to cure your ailments with Poetry. Such a joyous thing to offer. Owner is so giving of her time and a pleasure to be around. Her book is also a thing of wonder.

Geography and pandemics may have kept me away from the Poetry Pharmacy, but I have ordered online from them a few times and the service was great and the turnround quick. I absolutely love the idea behind using poetry as treatment, and really enjoy dipping into the anthologies that the Pharmacy has published. And I've also been tempted by the brilliantly quirky gifts and ceramics ;) Basically the only thing I don't like about the Pharmacy is that it's 168 miles away from where I live... but I'm already planning a roadtrip in 2021!
