The lady that helped us was very helpful and personable, but one of her older female colleagues was very dour in her manner which when you are in a customer facing role should be somewhat more friendlier. Quite a few members of staff just standing around on phones when we came in and no one came up to us and offered any help.

3 Stars. Customer service in store was great, the selection of flooring was brilliant and I enjoyed my shopping experience. Right up until it came to delivery. We had an expected delivery of 2-3 weeks duo to this being a large order. Over a month later we still hadn't heard anything, even though we'd already paid for everything! I phoned on Monday, they were going to confirm on Tuesday. Never heard back. I phone on Wednesday, they were going to confirm on Thursday. Never heard back. I phone on Thursday, they were going to confirm on Friday. Never heard back. Absolutely terrible experience, from what was a great experience. Post-purchase customer care is appalling. No responsibility or care for the customer. It's like they put the phone down and completely forget the promises they just made you.

We are so happy with our carpets and vinyl all thanks to CARPETRIGHT. Sandra made time to make sure we were happy with our choices with a little help and guidance on thickness and colours. Also a big thank you to Aubrey for giving us such a professional visit even on a weekend, and last but not least to our carpet fitter Iain Watson, he gave us complete confidence in his skills and was such a nice fella a real quality guy We cannot recommend them nor can we thank them enough for all of the time they all gave us which is so important. Very good helpful and prices are competitive, looking forward to carpets being fitted next week. They do have a problem excepting tsb debit and credit cards but it was the same at Southend branch so is the computer system not the store.

Slightly shocked that Carpetright have a poorly advertised minimum order value and a 40% markup to cover their 'administration and overheads'. So our 2m sq of vinyl flooring for a small cloakroom at £8.99 sq m ended up costing over £90! Ouch!!
