Reviews of Freemens Common Antiques Centre
D. C.
Beutiful place. Lived in Leicester all my life and never been before.
A peaceful oasis so close to the city with plenty of places to sit and contemplate.

Really nice place if your looking for a nice antique or something a little different that you can't find on the high street opened a few weeks ago and the have over 70 different stalls with pretty much anything you can think of. Really nice friendly staff have a small cafe as well. And they also hold auctions on sites so worth a look around. On site parking as well and round it to be reasonably priced and found some great things and deals
V. B.
Fantastic antique centre where I always find something interesting. Very friendly customer service especially from one gentleman. Sadly I didn't catch his name. I've bought a beautiful coffee table and I love it! Which I painted darker to match my furniture.
G. N.
Great place to find vintage and antiques. If you like smalls or practical items cabinet 33 and 34 always have a great selection.
F. G.
Great place. So many different things in so many different styles. Not a place to be missed if you're making your house more interesting!
S. O.
An aladins cave of everything.
Love it in there. Will be even nicer in a few weeks when they open a cafe. We'll worth a visit.
S. C.
Great place for a browse around and to see some of the items you remember and wish you had kept and taken better care of
J. P.
Good selection of antiques. Prices are higher than average. Still a good place.
O.
Very nice place. You can find manu interesting things.
J. H.
Such a lot of variety. Covers all eras and you can spend a little or a lot. I got a lovely print for £6, I could have spent so much more. Nice friendly people running it, well worth a visit. About to add a cafe too
F. S.
Absolutely amazing, full of incredible items and the staff is exceptional
J. D.
First time visit and pleasantly surprised.
They have so much to choose from that you could spend ages looking around and still find things you missed first time around.
One thing that did please us is that we found a place inside that sells Frenchic paint which we've only been able to buy online.
They also have some wooden furniture painted in Frenchic which is great for seeing the finish.
Overall, well worth a visit, wrap up warm tho as it's bloody freezing inside lol
J. S.
Amazing place, so much to look at, a good 2 hours spent looking around and a great little cafe, does absorbs set in lovely grounds well recommend
R. S.
Great selection of stock with the centre managed by a nice guy!
R. H.
An extremely large centre, worth a wonder round... never know what you will find. Not sure the individual unit holders (who are not on site as managed by staff) are the most experienced or knowledgeable on what they are selling. On site staff are great and friendly. A lot of overpriced badley renovated furniture on display..... but you can find the odd gem depending om what you are.looking for....

So glad a friend told me about this place, so good for a little comic book geek like myself. Vintage and retro figurines, movie posters and comics. Get down there!

I've been visiting this centre since it opened and when it was located else where. It has grown and developed Constantly and is worth a look if you haven't been for the last 6 months. I always find something to purchase. Discounts do happen and its clean and tidy. Items are definitely improving and prices seem to become more reasonable over time as well. Keep it up its one of my favourite places to visit.
S. M.
Fantastic place, lots of hidden gems. And alot bigger then I imagined.
S. A. n.
Lots of different things to see , good prices ,free parking

I’ve not been here for a while. I used to like the one on Welford road but that’s gone a bit poopy since moving to Blaby.
I went here on the off chance to find an Ercol chair. And they had one
I note the comments about a lack of variety (Urm ok it’s rammed) and the comments about new stuff it hurt my head
They have a huge variety of stuff
Prices are realistic don’t forget people have to make a living
Got my chair and if the card machine was working I’d have bought more
My only comment would be that Lucy the dog is very very still and I thought she was actually stuffed! 😜
S. F. P.
Wow what a wonderful place to walk around and purchase whatever takes your fancy. This place is packed with loads of fabulous antiques and gifts. The best antiques centre I have ever been to. Very helpful and friendly staff too.
T. S.
Large premises - unheated (November) so wrap up - prices reasonable - but like many large units lacks variety - lots and lots of ceramics - could do without loud music background - no-one wearing masks - narrow gangways so difficult to avoid others..

We had read reviews and thought it was worth a look. All on one floor and lots to see. At times the merchandise seemed to be a cross between a car boot sale and a jumble sale. There were some nice pieces but not as many as I would have thought. I was particularly interested to see jewellery but, unfortunately there wasn't a lot of quality items to see.
We spent one and a half hours there, had a browse and poke around but nothing jumped out at us so went home empty handed. We were glad we went but don't think we will go back again.
Worth noting it's not very warm in there, so wrap up well.
A. B.
Well worth a look around if you like visiting antique centres as there is a lot to look at. There is a cafe though is closed on Mondays. There is good sized free car parking. Staff are friendly and welcoming. A warm jacket/coat is a good idea as it's not a very warm place.
G. R.
Improved greatly. Many sellers and very mixed bag. Garden wear very well priced and has to be a nic-nac you can find
Parking good and nice cuppa to be found
A. W.
Wonderful Alladins cave.
Really surprised at such a vast place. Everything is there for collectors of all types.. recommend a visit especially if your new to antiques and collectables....
M. T.
This place is made up of small booths that are rented to indivisible antiques dealers. It's like a shopping centre but for antiques/second hand goods. If you really want to have a good look around you need some decent time, as it's really packed with stuff and quite a fair sized building. All in all worth a visit.
s. c.
Great little antique centre. So much variety of goods. Can't comment on prices as I can't really tell a Clarice Cliff from a big standard off the boat made in China vase. But they always happily haggle the price. They offer delivery on bigger items which is helpful. Parking space on site too.
m. b.
Very impressed with the whole set up. It is set out really well and very reasonable prices. Will be going back
S. T.
Lovely selection of different pieces. Each section is hired out, bit pricey on the rent, but very nicely displayed, easy to navigate round. Some areas not wheelchair accessable, but most is. Give it a go!
r. b.
There is alot of stock to see. I didn't find anything worthwhile to purchase. Like any antiques centre there were some of stalls which lacked quality, and others were overpriced. On the whole there was a good mix. I will go back and have another look around in a few weeks.
P. L.
I bought a blue clay Chinese yixing teapot here a couple of years ago for £3.00. One of the best finds ever. 👌😁💷💷💷 …
S. P.
Variety of items for sale is good. Sales staff have a personality bypass and not very helpful. Unlike Bargainhunt they appear to feel aggrieved if you ask for a best price or a little extra.
L. G.
Variety of items for sale is good. Sales staff are sometimes not very helpful.
Don't really responed great once you send a message via Facebook or Google.
When I comes to the Antiques Auctions, now enough space to move about. Very tight to move... When I comes to having your items sold at the Auction, they don't properly explain what's actually in the Job lot... Should explain at least 1 or 2 items... When it comes to it being sold takes ages to receive your cash !
As from this Sunday I will not be attending anymore Auction or the Antiques Centre it's self, it's made me think different !
D.

This Antiques Centre opened two weeks ago in the former "Dreams" premises opposite Morrisons and is easily accessed via Counting House Road, Leicester then Islington Street. It was formerly located on Abbey Lane, Leicester. It has a wide variety of stock and is well worth dropping in for a browse around.
It has it's own small dedicated car park for it's customers but, should it be full, there is a limited amount of on-street parking on Islington Street immediately adjacent as well as Morrisons own large car park (shop there then browse here or vice-versa!).
P. W.
