P. S.As the name suggests it's pretty much just paint and decorating equipment, but the products are very good quality and the staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There are probably cheaper places but I've done decorating projects faster and better thanks to their recommendations, which is more important to me that saving a couple of quid
G. P.I had a wonderful time at Johnstone's Decorating Centre. Not only did I get all the paint I required, I was regailed with amusing anecdotes by the staff. All were very friendly and Gareth gave me a cuddle when I started crying for no apparent reason. I spent the whole day there. The staff loved it when I explained Brexit through the medium of interpretive dance.
Although I was told off at one point and made to stop making forts out of the 10L paint tubs, all was forgiven when I loudly recited the poem I'd written about my day there.
Overall, I can't recommend Johnstone's enough. Especially if you want paint. I do advise bringing a sleeping bag, though. I needed a nap halfway through the day and the sofa in the staff room was very uncomfortable and smelled vaguely of Stella Artois.
Thanks again to Gareth, Neal and the other one for letting me make a Wig Wam out of lining paper.
