M. N.Great shop and great prices. However every time I go there it's always so rammed and you cant even look at something without being in the way. (Mainly top floor) I think they need re-organise some of the stuff. The little table near the cashier has all the new books which people would like to take time to look at, however there's always a big line of people waiting to pay.
P. M.Everything must go. Not sure why it must all go. They’ll be selling the same books in February whether they do or not. Some of the discounts are even more discounted. You might even save enough to poo over the road to the dreadful buffet mania. The shop has two floors. Books mostly downstairs. Good art department. You might find a more interesting selection of books over the road in WH Smith.
A. M.Great budget store. Not the latest titles and a lot seem to be aimed at children though search through the shelves there are some good finds.
Great discounts on stationery. Some of the kids toys seem like cheap tat but are priced accordingly. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is also a loyalty card scheme for even more discounts to work towards.
J. S.The Works is one of my favourite shops. So cheap and there are some real gems to be found in there! Caters for young and old alike.
I like the crafty section (I'm getting into sewing and I already study art at DMU, so occasionally pop in to check out pens, pencils, brushes and sketchbooks), and the book options can be great, I collect travel and nature photography books and The Works is my go-to shop for these.
They do other bits and bobs like colouring books, puzzles and games too, with some seasonal toys and such for the kids.
J.Theres books..arts and crafts...jigsaw puzzles..games..education info and stationary...well,it has the works doesnt it! The only thing it doesnt have is a lift so if youve got a disability, if youve got a pushchair, wheelchair etc,this place is a no go in the basement.
H. R.Has a lot of products in here so you have a great variety to choose from. The prices are great too! Very good for art supplies, books and toys.

R.GReat place for bargains on lego books much cheaper then WHSmith and it's great when they have sales as the price goes down and they have more stuff downstairs and staff are friendly and helpful and I go there a lot and it's worth the trip with a reward card as well and for me I love the lego Star Wars books for mini figures and it helps me build up on my army of empire for my lego projects
