Wide selection of books, stationary, cards, etc. Staff are very friendly, and the atmosphere is very soothing. Big plus is the fact that there's a post office in the bottom floor. You could spend hours here looking through all the wonderful things they stock. Do recommend

More expensive than 'the works' located across the road but whsmith publications are up to date whereas 'the works' are end of line reduced items mainly.

Great store in the city centre with everything you might need. All manner of stationary and I recently purchased a Last Will & Testament pack which at £25 is a great deal cheaper than a solicitor would charge. Staff are friendly and always there to help.

Great shop where you can still get some traditional things such as an old fashioned advent calendar which is what I wanted. Huge variety of greetings cards, magazines, books and stationery items. Lovely store.

Mainly use the post office here, which has very helpful staff who can help resolve problems quickly. Upstairs staff are equally as helpful, but since the floor was rearranged it can be hard locating magazines.

I frequently use the post office located at the bottom of the shop and the self service system is quick and easy and meand I can be in and out in no time. For anyone who may struggle with the machines, there are always staff on hand to help.

This WHSmith is massive and it is the best place to buy magazines in Leicester. They sell loads of greetings cards, wrapping paper and a wide selection of gift cards. There is a big post office downstairs which does everything a post office can do. You can get currencies here at a decent rate too. Downstairs is where the books are and there are plenty of them, especially the children's section. The only reason I've given it 4 instead of 5 stars is that it could really do with a refurb, but perhaps if they leave it another couple of years it will be so old school in there that it will just automatically be cool.

It always seems cluttered in there. It,s a pity that the post office is downstairs in the basement too. Difficult for pensioners to negotiate. There is a lift, but a lot of people don,t like lifts, there is an escalator to come up, why not have one to go down too?
