Firstly I would like to express my thanks to all of the staff at the shop who are always very welcoming and helpful on my numerous visits ! I have found on many occasions that the shop is stocked with items that are shown as not available on the Central Depot website. If anyone at Head Office reads these reviews please consider an amendment to your website layout, whereby if Central Depot are out of stock of a particular item there is still a facility to check if the item is available in store without having to visit or make a phone call.

This has become my local go to store, mainly because the guys that work here are welcoming, chatty, with no sales pressure and really helpful. It has a great atmosphere and I always spend more time in there than I ever intended to. Has to be one of the best tackle shops out there.

I needed to get my partner a few last minute bits of fishing tackle before he went to France, I called in to the shop and was greeted straight away, I explained my partner was going to France and need the items on my list, I gave the manager the list and he picked all the items for me. It was so nice as I had no idea what I was looking for. Free parking made it so easy and quick for me to get my partners shopping for him. Thank you to all the staff and especially the Manager!!!

Contacted Angling Direct as i was looking for a new seatbox, they had a good selection of boxes for me to compare to see which one would be best for me, they were very helpful and even helped me build the box up in store with the accessories for me to try out before i purchased. All of the guys are very friendly and very helpful, they ordered all the accessories for me that they did not have in stock at the time and they arrived within a couple of day. You get offered a brew which is nice and they help without rushing you into a decision, if anyone is looking for new fishing tackle and needs some advice then Angling Direct in Lincoln is the place to go, this comes highly recommended. Excellent service by the lads. They shut at 6pm, but I rang them and told them I wouldn't be there til 6:10pm and was there any chance they could hang about until I got there as there was no where else open for bait which I needed that evening. I rang them and told them not to hang about as felt bad for making them stay but fairplay they stayed open for me. Will definitely be back.

I’ve been in quite a few angling shops but this has by far been the best. The staff are really helpful when you need help otherwise they’re happy for you to wander around looking at all the great fishing products they stock. I found the price very reasonable and the products were good quality.

one of the best tackle shops I have been in, staff are really approachable and friendly and really knowledgeable and answered all my questions and gave me great unbiased advice on which bivvy to buy. also picked some terminal tackle up and surprisingly everything I wanted was in stock as I have been to other tackle shops in the past and been frustrated with not having items in stock. Hi went to Lincoln angling direct was met by Sam he asked if he could help and I explained my situation I'd naught a advantage rod last year and explained that I'd become ill my wife the same and work etc I was unable to go fishing till yesterday go the rod out of its bag for the first time to find approx 2 inches was missing turned out it was in bottom of bag . Sam refunded my money without question and then helped me choose another rod so a huge thank you. I've always had good service from you guys but Sam really did go above and beyond with excellent customer service.

My daughter wanted to start fishing.. I bought her a starter kit from elsewhere, and went here for bait.. Now wish id gone to Angling Direct to get the kit!! the guys in the shop were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable about all aspects of fishing. Even tho I hadnt bought the rod and stuff from them, they gladly explained the basics about set up and floats etc to me and my daughter and even set up my girls rod and line with a float and hook line, told us about plumb weights for setting float depth etc etc and gave lots of advice and tips. these guys are clearly very passionate about getting new anglers hooked!! (sorry... couldn't resist the pun) The shop is well stocked and the prices are good and what i think is very reasonable.. they sell just about everything... you can propably even buy "the one that got away" from Angling Direct!! and, they do a loyalty points scheme!! bonus! literally!! 😁😁
