What a difference a store Makes!! Having first made the decision to choose carpet right over our usual store which is a small family run business, we decided to visit the Doncaster store on York rd. We walked in and we were greeted by a gentle man with a hello and wave. We asked if he had the Westex carpet range? He answered and showed us to the range. The gentleman in question I later understood to be the manager of the store and someone who my husband had been dealing with via email. We didn’t like the way he undermined the gentleman who had originally helped us by Coming over and saying you’ll not find it there and came over with a board with small sample in and put it on top of the other samples and quote said there you are! And then walked back to his desk. He made us both feel very unimportant and an effort to deal with! When we asked about the other qualities of the carpet again he was very matter of fact and made us feel like we were disturbing him. The quote he gave us seemed to have lots of add ons on, which we saw no need for as this was a large purchase of some £2000 pounds! We left the store very underwhelmed! As we live on the boundary of Lincolnshire I asked my husband If we should give or visit the Lincoln store of Carpet right a go? So glad we did as the young gentleman who answered the phone was like a breath of fresh air. Upbeat and positive and greeted my husband in a very helpful and polite way by calling him sir. He passed us on to a young man called Alex who couldn’t of been more helpful and promised to even get a fitter over to assess how much carpet we needed the very next day! The quote came back within minutes and turned out to be cheaper and on budget. We can’t thank Alex and the manager and staff for turning around our experience of carpet right and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend our friends and family to The Lincoln branch of Carpet right!! Well done 5 out 5 for customer service
