Due to the outstanding quality of the carpets on offer, and the longevity of the products, it was some years since we had used Claytons. Although very busy (leading up to Christmas) they managed to fit us in for both measuring and fitting before the festive holidays. We had underlay and a matching carpet fitted to a bedroom, hall and stairs. Careful calculations by Claytons meant that we purchased ONLY the minimum required without large 'paid-for' offcuts. Inevitably there is always some 'left over' and a service that is not widely advertised but which we have used before is 'whipping', which is the winding that is applied to the edge of a carpet. (See last photo) This way, you can cut (or have Claytons cut) a piece of carpet to the perfect bespoke size and the edges are then bound / whipped to form a rug which is identical to the carpet. David at Claytons carried this out for us and the price is the same or less than you would otherwise spend on a rug (or door mat in our case)! The finished result is superb. It really is a luxurious under-foot feel. Very soft and noticeably warmer now that the carpet is down. The measurements and fitting was carried out by very professional team members. *Of course we had decorated immediately before the fitting and were concerned that perhaps there would be some wallpaper scuffing or paint chipping but nothing has been noted since! Really recommend this friendly firm and from our point of view will use ONLY them for any future needs.......

Claytons carpeted the majority of the rooms in our new build. They did all the bedrooms upstairs, the landing, the stairs, and the living room. The fitter even carpeted inside the airing cupboard (which we didn't expect). I'll never use anyone else for carpet fitting in Lincoln. We had 3 carpets fitted in our old house, and all this done in the new house. The service from start to finish was absolutely superb. The lead times were quick (3 weeks from start to finish), the fitters did a superb job, the carpet is thick and luxurious, and the advice from the moment you start choosing is totally non biased from a sell perspective. They ask you your needs and go from there. 5 star service all round and couldn't be happier.

With the help of choosing our flooring, accommodating our constant change of installation dates because of build delay to the final screeding and installation of our chosen flooring. Our first use of Claytons. Although the chairs we wanted were not on display following a telephone call the store arranged for the chairs to be in store a few days later. The 100 mile round trip to view them was well worth it. The staff could not be more accommodating or helpful. We placed an order. Some weeks later the chairs were delivered by the equally charming and professional Claytons delivery team. Unfortunately one of the chairs had a manufacturing fault. When things go wrong is the true test of customer service. Claytons passed with flying colours. From initial report to resolution Claytons were nothing but courteous and helpful. We will definitely return for future purchases. Highly recommended.

TIME FOR A NEW SOFA its been 10 plus since we brought our current sofa from Claytons and its been great so thought it was about time we brought a new suite to go with the new decor . As we all do we visited all the local furniture stores to get idea`s and understand what we were looking for. On the visit to Claytons we decided on 2 sofa`s . The buying experience was FIRST CLASS , as with any purchase we like to take our time to consider . We were not harassed by a pushy salesman and allowed to just sit and take our time ( not like 3 stores i could name where you are followed as soon as you walk through the doors ) . When we were ready to talk, Ian was fantastic and able to answer any questions we had. He even arranged sample materials so could sort co-ordinating items. The pricing was also very competitive on similar sofa`s so if your looking for a new Suite pay a visit. Would give more than 5 five stars.

I was a customer who only wanted to buy some small scatter cushions but was treated by member of staff, John, as if I was buying a suite. He was so pleasant and so helpfull and did what he said he would do by getting back to me straight away with the required information. What was a breath of fresh air was that John gave me pricing alternatives which other companies I'd contacted hadn't done and they were, in fact, quite dismissive of my request.. Not so with John though, and if he's a reflection of the company then they are wonderful.

Great service from Clayton’s Carpets. We order a bed for urgent delivery. Other bed shops quoted 6 weeks for delivery, however Clayton’s delivered in 2! The delivery team were also very professional and nothing was too much trouble.

The disabled access needs addressing. Where the disabled parking space is, there is a step into the building, the ramp is surrounded by bollards, which you can't get a wheelchair or mobility scooter down so you have to go into the road to get to the ramp. There is enough room round the side where the single disabled bay is, to put a ramp in that's easier & safer to access. It needs changing. Whilst I appreciate your response, I'm telling you, as a disabled woman who uses a mobility scooter, your disabled access is poor & unsafe. I would have to travel down the road, in order to get to the ramp.

Very good sales when I was first in the store, upon delivery day, I was kept informed of a delivery window when I was contacted by telephone the day before or possibly two I cannot remember exactly, and then on the day of delivery I received a telephone call to let me know exact time of delivery of the item which was very good to receive so I could plan my day a lot more effectively around that, and when I arrived they’re very helpful very friendly and quickly and effectively delivered my three seater and my two seater power recliner plugged it in they ensure it was working correctly asked me to sit in it while they were there and then show me how to use the controls for the power recline electrically, I was very impressed I was strongly recommend this team both for their initial sales, supply of the brilliant goods, and the delivery team they use top marks all round

Just had my bungalow carpeted by Claytons. Being in property for 25 years, Claytons have carpeted a lot of houses during that time. Also, just purchased a chair from them. We searched long and hard for the perfect sofa for our house and found a beautiful corner sofa by Alexander and James, in Clayton's. I searched extensively to check the price and although I knew Clayton's had a price guarantee, I couldn't find the sofa better priced anywhere else in the country anyway! Obviously it's not all about price. When spending a large amount of money on something that's going to be the centre piece of your home, you want to know that you're going to be looked after and that there's a good level of aftercare. This is where Clayton's really shone. We did have a couple of issues with the sofa (manufacturing issues, and nothing to do with Clayton's direct). The guys in the showroom could not do enough to help and the issue was fully resolved with regular calls from them to check that everything was going to plan and being sorted. I really felt that they genuinely cared about me as a customer and although it was annoying to have a problem with a new purchase, I was always completely re-assured that it would be sorted without extra expense or hassle, and it was. It's the sort of service that's lacking from so many of their competitors nowadays. Excellent product, best price and best customer service going! I'd highly recommend them to anyone else.

First of all l would like say that it always a pleasure to shop at Claytons. On the 9th of June l purchased furniture and a carpet. Simon (furniture) was very helpful and kind and l was not pressured in any way. Then l spoke to Phil (carpets) and again l was helped and advised. On the 16th June the carpets and furniture arrived as promised. Three of my doors needed to be altered because of the thickness of the carpet and l was advised to call Claytons and they gave me three contact numbers, one of those contacts was Matt Butt (self employed) who said he was very busy but he would come later in the day to sort the doors, which he did at a very reasonable cost. All in all the employees are a real credit to Claytons. I would not hesitate to shop there in the future.

Just been to Claytons to purchase a new bed, and I must say it felt like we were treated as valued customers, not just walking cash. The salesperson who looked after us, Tom Rhodes, was the perfect sales person. Giving us information, as and when we needed it, but not putting any sales pressure on us. His info enabled us to make the right decision based on comfort and budget. Instead of that dreadful hovering sales people do he also gave us space to make our decision. A trait we noticed with the other sales staff, working with other customers. I have just had a grand Alston sofa delivered, it is beautiful and so comfortable, I have had Alston sofas from Clayton’s before and always had first class customer service. I did everything over the phone , even selected my sofa in line due to covid. My only negative comment is that the packaging was massive and there was no way it would come unless unpacked through my front door. The drivers informed me they don’t unpack the items (I have had an large sofa order from Clayton’s previously it was unpacked and packaging taken away ) Thankfully my neighbour allowed me access through her garden as I have a side extension, it was so large it wouldn’t go through the gate ! It looked like a massive coffin... hats off to the drivers they removed a side panel so they could get it through and then though my bifold doors. I only wish to let customers know that if you are not able bodied you will struggle. It then took me over an hour to unpack it , then another half an hour to pack up the packaging. I am a pensioner and live by my self but luckily could just about manage all this . I just feel the delivery side could be made clearer , that all aside I’m thrilled with my sofa

Wide selection of carpets. Can be sure of a decent price. Will deliver, though you must haggle for free delivery. Stocks bedroom and living room furniture. Staff are friendly. Store has been in business for a long time and have bought several pieces of furniture from them. They usually want a sizeable deposit though which scares me a bit. But the company is trustworthy. Quality of the furniture is good, often imported from Germany.

Great customer service from Glennis at Clayton's! I purchased an electric recliner via video facetime. It was very easy, Glennis from Clayton's called me back on Facetime and went through all the different colours, also demonstrating the chairs functions. They have fitted the wrong carpet on two occasions though but no problems in getting it sorted both times....in fact the first time they fitted a more expensive carpet than what we had paid for! Fantastic company to deal with. I was a bit worried about ordering my G Plan 3 piece suite from a company not in my area, but the saving of money was too good to miss! The over the phone ordering service was fantastic; the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. The suite was in stock ahead of the date I was quoted and the arrangements for delivery were very straightforward . I was given a delivery slot to suit myself, and updates on when they would arrive. There was a small after sales problem that I had which was sorted out for me. My only advice if you are buying a 3 piece, is that they don't always come with castors which you can request for free at time of ordering. This was not actually mentioned to me and I did have to sort this out after delivery when the process was not quite as straightforward. However, all sorted now and delighted with my GPlan Malvern 3 piece.

I had to view the items in local departmnt stores as they were so far away, I contacted them on three occasions, they totally understand the customers need to get exactly what is required, especially when buying on the internet, they are big items to have to put up with if its the wrong choice.
