We bought some platy fish for beginners. We weren't informed that they are prolific breeders. The fish have now produced lots of babies which the store are not willing to take from us. These fish should come with a warning and/or not sold to amateurs

We're away and our dog got an upset tummy and after phoning around trying to find some probiotic powders with no success I phoned Pet's at Home and the staff were really helpful over the phone and in store. I'm a regular at the store, often going in atleast once a week for supplies for my 5 rabbits. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming and always on hand to answer any questions; can't fault the staff at all. However, the loss of stars is more around the selection of times on sale and the pet enclosure sizes. There's a small selection of items on offer for rabbits, which half are not suitable or safe for rabbits to consume (e.g. corn, seeds etc). Most of the chew items are held together by glue which is highly toxic to rabbits. Then comes the absolutely tiny enclosure sizes that they keep their animals in. Whether it's just for a short period (which is their excuse), it is not okay. Rabbits for instance should have access to a minimum space of 60sqft at all times, because of the amount of exercise they do. Anything less can cause growth issues. There was one rabbit in the tiny enclosure there for over a month! Most of the time there's two squished in together, with barely any space to move. Again, I can't fault the staff but the company really needs to educate themselves about the products they sell and what is and isn't suitable or safe for the animals they sell them for. Additionally, they really need to provide a bigger area for the animals they hold in store.

Been here loads of times. Much as I hate a chain especially that of a pet shop, I must admit they have everything here, the staff are so helpful and they have all pet food for every pocket.

This place is great for picking up cat food and big bags of kitty litter but the discount vouchers they send in the mail are a waste of ink, they’re never any use to us. You’d think in this age of technology that they’d use our logged purchases as a guide to try and persuade us to spend more with a little money off but they always send weird things like dog toys coupons and food we’d never purchase. Love seeing the fish and small pets and the staff are polite and knowledgeable.

Staff are very friendly and helpful here. They even offered to help carry some stuff out to the car for my pregnant wife. The only downside is the occasional slow service at peak times. Even then however, this store is still much quicker than the one at the other end of town.

The only thing that i can say bad about pets at home is, their products are slightly overpriced and i have not seen any thing new in their stores for a while, overall if you are willing to pay the bit extra, pets at home is a great shop 😀
