So much selection! Huge store spread over 2 floors, both require use of stairs for access though. There are 2 steps up to the Mezze, then I believe 5 steps down to the bottom level. From here there is a lift that provides access to the upper floor. Not wheelchair accessible, but may help those with limited ability to climb stairs. They have really any kind of haberdashery, fabric, yarn or craft you may be searching for. Sections including fabric by the metre, kg, and offcuts- many standard fabrics as well as more specialist types such as athletic fabrics, PVC, printed faux fur, tablecloth, upholstery and curtains, printed polar fleece. Huge selection of yarns in stock. Embroidery hoops and templates are available as well as larger tapestries. Limited selection of fabric dye. Craft section features paper craft, jewellery making, ornaments and seasonal, die cutting, polymer clays, crafting kits and gift sets. Upstairs there is a specific bridal and occasion wear section. The staff are lovely and helpful, if you need to find something you can just ask and they are fantastic. You can get a coffee over the road in Greekosophy by presenting your Abakhan receipt of a £15 spend or over on the same day. You can also request a loyalty card for Abakhan which is stamped after every £15 purchase to stack up for discounts!

Literally the best habedashery I've ever been to, amazing bargains both up and downstairs, huge selection and helpful staff. Upstairs is neat and organised with roll fabric (which is surprisingly still affordable/ a steal) and downstairs is some rolls and lots of metal basket shelving units full of fabrics which you can ask to be cut to a certain length as long (as they are left with a meter or more I believe). Then there's scales you can use before going to checkout to check how much your fabric will cost which is great. I left with basically a bin bag full of fabric and it cost around £35. Can't wait to come back!

I was in this store today and was lucky enough to be served by Dee. Last time I was also served by Dee and I recalled how nice she was then. But today she went beyond the call of duty. Divided into two large spaces (upstairs and downstairs), it has almost anything you could need for a tailoring project, as well as a large collection of materials for other crafts like embroidery, cross-stitching, knitting and crocheting.

Very good experience, helpful staff. I managed to get nearly everything I went for which was quite a lot. It is a shame that the building isn't accessible to wheelchair users who cannot mobilise. Good selection but quickly adds up. Don't agree with the price of the felt squares being 5 times the price of on the roll - especially when it's the only available colour match. Just glad there was 20% off.... going to drown my sorrows now. 🍷 Pleased to see they have Saturday sessions for free, I plan on going to one or two of them.

Another great fabric haul from that Liverpool shop. I have been buying from the Mostyn, Chester and Liverpool stores for over 40 years! Nice to get back after a long lockdown, I was disappointed as there were no customer toilets, I guess the Mostyn shop would have toilets as they have a café.

All your sewing, knitting and crafting needs under the same roof. You could spend hours here. Fabric is sold by the kilo but they will cut pieces for you. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They also run various courses.

Amazing shop with so many lovely things but make sure your purchases go through the till at the right price. Some yarn is discounted by 20% and it's written on the ball band. The cashier is meant to knock off the 20% off but it never happens - you have to tell them about the discount otherwise you will pay the full price.

Went to Abacans today for upholstery material to recover my dinning room chair seats I was in the store approximately one minute when Christine engaged with me and helped me find exactly what I wanted including the Hessian backing I needed. She was so kind patient and helpful I was delight with my purchase. Such an amazing selection of fabric and haberdashery! Although a little chaotic at times, I love rummaging through the bins downstairs where you can buy fabric by the weight and the marked-down rolls upstairs often spark my inspiration. That being said Abakhan is often my go to for all the standard textile DIY bits too: cushion inners, interfacing, trim, buttons, fabric dye. Every time I've been there's been great variety.

One of the most amazing craft and hobby shops around. You can easily spend a day looking around if you are into arts and crafts. They sell pretty much everything for your projects and have an amazing selection of fabrics.

There is such a great and varied range of products to be found at usually good prices to be had at Abakhan Fabrics. Please be mindful the car parking at and around the premises are some times taken up with a Maximum 2 hour time limit; currently the cost of the parking meters is £2.20 for the first hour, then £1.10 per half hour thereafter to the 2 hour time limit.

Grest to find a good bargain! The shop is split between two floors and you have to purchase goods in their corresponding floors (you can't take them in-between). They have a great range of faux fur and lots of different fabrics. The staff are lovely and are always there to help you if you're new to sewing or just want some guidance.
