Reviews of WHSmith
Visited 09/03/2021 11am
Fantastic help from a member of staff named Rachel. The new self serve machines can be a little confusing, however Rachel was swift, polite and professional in helping me with my package.
Too bad the same can't be said about the manager (I assume) who was loud, rude and more than happy to insult her staff underneath her breath. Very unprofessional and according to other reviews on here this isn't the first time she has been like this.
What a shame.
As usual WH Smith bit messy but overall ok
Exclnt friendly service by helpfully staff 😀👌
Top shop as all your magazine needs
Nice store selling books and stationery
What is happening to this store! High prices and not enough selection
Small smiths good stationary supplies
Not the biggest WHSmiths, post office is right above it too
Excellent staff always willing to help
A visit here is necessary when visiting the post office.
Post office staff where helpful.
Fantastic Staff and always made to feel welcome in the WHSmith store in L1. I must visit this store twice a month, and am always greeted with friendliness and politeness. This is not apparent in a lot of retail establishments these days.
If you are looking to be cheered up, whilst shopping for stationary, then this is the place to go if you are in Liverpool.
Ace place ...every mag you ever wanted ...and some you never knew existed
Just a basic stationary and book shop
Good for stationary but can be overpriced
Great staff. Very helpful
Nice to look for books or magazines
Good shop, many things
What can I say it's a WHsmith with a post-office upstairs.
Probably in need of a refurb. Very cluttered.
You can find everything, sometimes with a greats price.
A member of staff was helpful.
WHSmith high street store with a busy Post Office upstairs.
Tip: stamps can be bought/printed off the Post Office self-service machines to avoid long queues. I think there is a mail box downstairs near entrance.
McDonald's coupons are usually given out with any purchase, also available at the WHSmith self-service tills.
Small fridge unit contains a limited range of chilled drinks. Note there are NO sandwiches/meal deals at this store.
O2 Priority items usually available at this store if you get there early.
Always a fav in my top 5
Very small didn't get what I was after
Good but really expensive
Small and cramped everything to close together and untidy

Still the place for magazines and books, and DVDS
Went in for the post office. Good service, friendly staff. The shop is nice too, large variety of products and there is always chocolate on sale.

Great for stationery and things plus the post office... But they need more people working on the post office side instead of normally just one person.
Good enough
Great shop with a comprehensive stock of magazines, newspapers and writing materials. They also sell a wide range of art materials.
Good
Great location
Posted a letter.
Plenty of choice
Great place
expensive stuff
Decent store
Is what it is
Good location and good for magazines and papers. No good for book selection. Only a relatively small shop though. Friendly staff.
Quite disappointing. The most interesting thing was the post office at the top floor. The store did feel a bit cramped and lacked books such as revision guides and textbooks.
If you're looking for the basic then this is fine, but expect to be disappointed if you're looking for something that's a little unusual such as a specific textbook.
WHSmith
(Translated) Everything is great in it, many drawing tools are available
Notes of all shapes, types, and sizes
There are also some computer equipment, such as a mouse, an iPod, and some accessories.
There are postal services, not one office, but many, so this service is not crowded, and you will not wait for long.
It consists of two floors, the upper floor is as shown in the pictures
And on the ground floor you will find some snacks.
In terms of hygiene, very clean, sterilization stations are at the entrance, and you must wear a muzzle.
The staff are helpful and the prices are from average to expensive.

I had old money and it was exchanged for the current one. Very friendly and helpful!
My favorite pub in Liverpool. Very centrally located, good food and all beer, what more do you need?
If
A market with average prices where you can find many things you are looking for in England
Very good place to have your money exchanged quickly
There is a Post Office on the second floor.
I love British bookstores, they are full of life.
(Translated) Very good. Good offers

Oso ona. Eskaintzak onak.
Great books & a cashier who was very helpful, informing me to add to the free books I had purchased. E.g. Buy one, get one reduced.
His office contains a post office
Okay
Post office busy but very helpful. Que moves quite quickly. Store selection is very good.
Plenty of Choice to pay for your goods, Everything Is Clearly Advertised.
Not a lover of Automatic Paying Machines however is a reasonable choice in busy stores.
Sadly even though the shop is in Liverpool it still sells The Sun. Plus, there are too many self-service checkouts and not enough staff for the items behind the counter.
Poor LED lighting in shop. SMITH'S always looks a bit sorry for itself... But at least it's one shop that has remained in our high street.
I regret that I do find this store uninspiring but it does provide a valuable service in providing a wide range of goods from stationery books sweets and sometimes post office franchises
Decent store, but sometimes it's a bit difficult to find the items that you need. When you're in a hurry. Need serious merchandising upgrade.
Half price books on the week of release, lots of choice,we need the shops, support them.
Good range but expensive, it's always my last resort due to price but I couldn't find revision cards anywhere else
Went the post office ( located upstairs) was waiting in the queue for over 10 minutes
2 staff on serving both was busy doing the digital photo and 2 on travel money if you can wait to go to another one do
A good shop for reading material with an okay range of books and magazines. Stationary is also available with a decent range. Staff member was helpful in helping me to find something I was looking for.
Staff are so helpful, lift being upgraded so they are assisting you using staff/goods lift.
The staff at Bootle Strand are always happy & helpful, particularly Ian, Rachel & it's nice to see Sandra back❤
That was quite, with an immense varieties of magazines, sweets, books and also the Post office is located there.
Fast service on a Saturday, they have self service machines upstairs which are very quick and easy to use
Books and all kinds of magazines..a good fast post office in one area.
Pretty big shop with all the things you expect and a Post Office. Helpful staff.
Great place to visit for books and post office above. With lift for easy access.
A little messy if compared to any airport shop, but quite convenient just by a Post Office.
With the state of the store, limited range and high prices, surely it is only a matter of time before this high street name disapsars
A little old- fashioned now but I always seem to find what I want, plus a few unexpected bargains!
You're asking me to write a review on a stationery store?
So many pens. Blue pens, black pens, red pens, green pens. And that's just the biros. When you enter the magical world of the sharpie display the cornucopia of colours extends beyond the mere rainbow into the sublime
Always able to get what I need. I've even got used to the Post Office being there!!
Well presented shop with post office in-store very convenient
Standard Whsmith. Layout is a little chaotic and simple things seem to be overpriced. Staff were helpful.
Great large shop with a large post office in,
however not clear where things are.
I found what I wanted easily it was a reasonable price and the person serving me was polite and efficient.
Went in to use the Post Office upstairs. Speedy service amd friendly staff.
My own personal library hehe staff are great all friendly and helpful
Wonderful! Has every stationary item you could need.
post office up stairs but at the moment the lift is out off order but is getting fixed
Would like more staff on tills instead of being encouraged to self serve
There is a post office inside the WH Smith which is great if you want to send letters and parcels. Lots of stationary and pens to purchase. There is also an post office assistant to help with the many postal self service machines that are available!
Mixed bags of goods sold by WHSmiths. This store also has a Post office.
Busy shop in Liverpool One, could do with a bigger shop to be honest. Staff were lovely, polite & helpful.
Its always busy here but its really handy location & has a post office upstairs
The post office staff were polite a and helpful.
Great staff with a good selection to choose from, will shop here again.
Large newsagents in Liverpool city centre within the Liverpool One shopping area, good variety of magazines.
It’s very nice to but from especially in the pandemic
I don't always get what I want here & the shop isn't well highlighted with the product prices.
Not the force that it once was. But handy for stationery and for some books.
I use it for the post office. Queues can be long. Go with plenty of time.
Classic Smiths, overpriced goods and a shop that looks like it may fall apart any moment. There are a good few self checkouts but they're very temperamental.
The post office upstairs is convenient.
Went for the Post Office. But good stationery anyway.
Got everything I needed and staff were very helpful too
Stationary of a very high standard and shop manager very polite.
Good range of products well priced friendly attentive staff
Just went the post office inside really handy in city centre
nice stationery shop with all basic artwork stuffs.
Very good place to buy mags, books, stationery, sweet etc
Book shop and stationery bargains to be had in this well stocked shop
Fantastic selection of magazines, the best on the high street.
Post office service is excellent with very helpful staff.
Everything you can expect from a wh smith.
Plenty of stationary, gifts and interesting books to choose from. The post office upstairs is convenient and quick service. Youre bound to find what youre after.
Good place for stationery & mail
Good choices for magazines
Post office service is excellent with very helpful staff.
Other than a somewhere irate checkout girl, it was a reasonably productive visit.
Often busy but helpful local staff
the place to go for magazines stationery and latest book best sellers
Good collection of books and stationaries, located at the heart of Liverpool one
My only issue with this shop is that some of the aisles aren't particularly wheelchair friendly
nice things ...very nice people...super...if u r a foreign person
It's good but the shelf R too close.
V efficient self help system with knowledgeable assistance if required
Fast and reliable service, has wheelchair access. Post office services including digital application and exchange available at the first floor accessible by lift and/or stairs
As usual - very poor lighting so you can't clearly see when walking around the store.
It sells books, n papers and loads of chocolate by the tills.
Small, but nice shop with a decent selection.
We went in and got what we wanted from a small selection of items.
Sill feels like they haven't moved in properly.
Visited Post office where you can get your biometrics done...
The post office is last it takes to long to get your money out
It's ok a bit cluttered but comprehensive.
Can be long lines but staff never stop so lines are always moving and extra staff can be called on in rush hours
Hard to believe that upstairs is the main post office for Liverpool. Store lacks refinement.
Lovely shop in the middle of liverpool one. Very nice selection of books and everything else you need. Has a post office on the 1st floor but can get a little busy some times.
A bit cramped but well stocked & has a post office in it
It's ok but didn't have item I wanted!!
Not bad but I hate how permanently hot it is upstairs.
Well stocked and has a lottery terminal!
Lotto,papers,post office, helpful staff.
Has everything you need. Friendly customer services
Its was very good plenty on offer i was pleased
Nice selection but not what I was looking for.
More reasonable prices than I thought.
Good variety of magazines etc and stickers
It's WH Smith, so it's a bit cluttered and there's a Post Office upstairs with everything you'd expect a city centre Post Office to have.
We found what we wanted, avoided the inevitable chocolate and paid. Good but dated as a shop but.... It does have pretty much everything you know you're going to get in a WH Smith, newspapers, magazines, stationery, some books etc., etc.
Can't fault it for what it does, save that the whole WH Smith offering needs updating. Please lay off the chocolate offers near the tills!!!!
