Reviews of Creative Biscuit

I’ve been here a few times. Such a cute date idea or to paint with children or even babies. Perfect for baby hand and footprint keepsakes. There’s also some food and drinks available. Recommended!
N. B.
Can not recommend these guys highly enough. They go out of their way to be helpful. Rushed a firing through for me for a birthday present. Such a lovely little cafe there too. Am absolute gem of a place.
S. A.
One of my favourite places to go to relax and completely zone out while getting creative. The lates 2 Thursdays a month are hands down what make my months so great. Tim and the team are super friendly!
N. E.
I went with my mum who's been having a hard time recently. She said she found it relaxing and it took her mind off things. It definitely is a good way to unwind. Was lovely to have some food and hot beverage while painting our ceramics too.
A. Y.
My son and I went with my friend and 3 other children. Age range 5-9 years old. Prices of the ceramics start from £10 upwards. There is a little charge for using their paints, The children thoroughly enjoyed painting their chosen animals. It's a great activity to keep them seated and let their creative juices flow. Staff are very friendly and patient with the kids and are on hand to give advice. There are snacks and drinks available to buy. Well worth a visit if you are the creative sort of person.
D. B.
Such a lovely experience and such a good value for money. My girlfriend and I had 2 full hours of fun painting on ceramic.
N. P.
Great fun, we found it really therapeutic and two hours had flown by. Nice bite to eat as well!
H. B.
A really friendly, calm place with lots to choose from. Taken my daughter there many times and have used the home kits through covid. Would recommend them always, alongside Tim's millionaire shortbread and choco fudge cake!
L. M.
Amazing place, went for a nieces 8th birthday, really lovely staff and the art work that was created but 2- 52yr old was outstanding...lol well recommend for a little relaxation session, very therapeutic, really good outing for a b.day or just a couple of people meeting up for coffee, loved it.
N. D.
Super friendly staff, lots of things to paint and eat, food is pretty cheap too, toasties look super tasty, and new cakes made daily in shop (try the carrot cake). they sell arts and crafts, badges cards and pins as well as pre glazed pottery too. spent about 2.5 hours painting my piece, lots of advice and help from staff when i needed ideas.
they advise masks when youre not eating, but it is a cafe
one big bathroom, with a baby changer in case you're taking kids :)
outside bench seating also available :)
J. H.
Never heard of this place untill today, my wife has been before and it's something real simple but fun, loved spending time here, good idea to give personal Christmas gifts at a very reasonable price and it means a lot more as it's painted by my son for family members. Will be visiting again very soon.
K. A.
Love this place, I have been here for a birthday party and with my children and my nieces.
We absolutely love it here.
The instructions are clear.
Staff so far have been friendly and welcoming.
It's so relaxed and we are all engrossed in painting eating laughing and it's a lovely way to get together with family and friends.
I have never had a problem with booking in advance due to groups or just turning up.

First outing in a long time and it didn’t disappoint. Hot chocolate and coffee were good, baguettes tasty and chocolate brownies delicious. Nice range of items to paint and we are looking forward to collecting the results next week. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was a bit noisy at times with crying babies and mums chatting across the room, which we didn’t mind but was a bit unfortunate for us as we were having a child free outing. However, very impressed they managed to paint anything with babies in tow! Will definitely visit again, perhaps taking our little person next time.

Great fun place to take kids or as an adult. You choose from a range of ready moulded items such as plates, mugs, bowels or ornament then with a full pallet of colours paint away. You then pick them up at a later date once they have been in the kiln. Coffee, cakes and other foods on offer and available for kids parties.
Although really good fun it can get a little crazy in here with kids running around and making noise, but what else would you expect!
It would be good if the seats were a little higher and a bit more comfy as my 4 year old daughter had to sit on her knees. Overall good fun for a party or for a treat and you get something to take home with you which is unlike most places!

Organised a small Hen do at Creative Biscuit to paint some ceramics. We all had a fabulous time - staff were fantastic! We didn't feel at all rushed in fact we were able stay and finish our drinks after our allocated time slot. We had scones and tea and there were a loads and the scones were fresh and so tasty we couldn't finish them and they gave us the rest in bag to takeaway. Thank you very much for such a lovely time! Will be coming back for sure!
N. F.
Brilliant experience. The staff couldn't be more helpful, welcoming and friendly. Fun had by all. Thank you!
E. I.
My 3 years old daughter enjoyed the place and we had a lovely time there. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Adults/children can have something to drink and eat while painting.
Very affordable. We will definitely go back again.
T. M.
Great time with the family and friendly service. Nice hot drinks too!
O.
Great Birthday party, kids had so much fun, thanks
L. E.
Good fun- went the day it reopened. Really friendly host, extremely reasonable prices- £8 for small plate or mug. No rush with painting and had a great time! Will be back 😊

Unique little cafe where kids and adults alike can choose from various items to paint. We held a birthday party for a 3 and 7 year old and they loved it, as did the guests. The sandwiches, snacks and service were spot on. As for the cake, words cannot define how nice it was! A big thank you to all the staff once again

I ordered one of the Creative Biscuit takeaway packs for my son (who’s 3) and I to do and it’s such a lovely activity. The delivery service is great and the paints are amazing - it’s all very straight forward and well explained. Creative Biscuit are a fantastic local business and we’re very lucky to live so close by to them. I would highly recommend them!
J. O.
Lovely quiet place for anyone who likes pottery painting and nice piece of cake and coffee with it.
F. M.
Lovely find! We went to decorate mugs for Christmas presents with my sons foot and hand prints. Really lovely choice of ceramics to decorate & although we didn't eat or drink anything it's nice to have the option. When we collected the man who served us was really friendly and found our order straight away. Would definitely use again.
A. W.
Great fun and excellent coffee!
I went along with two friends for an afternoon. Loved the welcome and the explanation. Good choice of ceramics. We had differing levels of creative skills but all managed to create something we were very happy with. We didn't eat, but enjoyed some very large cappucinos
E. L.
This is great, will set you back a few quid if there are a few if you. Think between 4 painters we spent about £70 on painting the ceramics and coffee. But were there for a good 1.5 hours. They also have some space and toys to occupy very young children which was great. Will go back but only with the children that really loved it and not overly often because of the cost. But will definitely go back.
G. L.
We had an amazing time, £4 for my 2 year old to paint and we chose a huge £10 mug that took her a full hour to paint. Great value and that's Daddy's birthday present taken care of. Lovely coffee and friendly staff. Bear in mind that you need to go back a few days later to collect your item!
C. W.
I ordered two takeaway painting kits during the first lockdown. Such a lovely service! Karen delivers the kit, emails lots of helpful instructions, and then collects your items for firing and delivers them back, all for a very reasonable price. We decorated plates with our toddler's handprints and rainbows to commemorate Lockdown 1.0 - for Grandparents and for ourselves to keep. Such a lovely activity especially when we were running out of things to do indoors. Karen is so helpful and lovely, and can't do enough for you - she clearly takes pride in giving a 5* service to her customers. We will be back again.
P. M.
Great place for kids and adults who like crafting. The cafe offers customers to paint ceramic figures, bowls, mugs etc. The cafe also sells food and hot drinks. They do kids parties which are great fun! Staff are very friendly and helpful. They offer an adults only evening from 6pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month and you can bring your own alcohol drinks if you wish! Great evening out!
A. F.
Lovely place and ceramic painting. We booked a birthday party and the crossover time was not sufficient ( there wasn't any) for a smooth transition. Hence owner flapped and got very stressed and passed the feeling onto us. Kids had a good time once we were sit and the party started. And catering was good. Would go again just not for a party unless there was more time for crossover allowed.
C. A.
Great little place, friendly and experienced helpful staff, child-orientated. ....We were very happy to spend an hour and a half there with a 3 year old while she painted her mermaid, and have an elevenses break partway. Definitely book though. Easy to get to by tube......central line.. ..though we drove. Parking not provided but there are a couple of reasonable pay and display car parks nearby - staff will advise.
F. k.
I have been here twice with my nephews and nieces. Oldest 9 and youngest 2, all four children loved it. They have a good option of colours and ceramics. The ceramics options havent changed from our last visit but they were still able to pick out something to paint.
It's a cafe so a nice break for adults to have tea and cake.. Light hot snacks also available.
I will definitely return.. Maybe for a birthday party next time 😊
P.
Lovely set up. Could do with smaller mugs, some small bowls & small plates.Nevertheless my boys enjoyed the whole experience and have proudly displayed their mugs on our shelves.
The staff were helpful and patient with my fidgety kids. Unique experience for all ages. Light, well decorated inviting shop.
Comfy chair and some toys, near the window, to entertain babies. Outdoor benches to enjoy in better weather.
A wide range of beverages and snacks. Looking forward to our next visit.
L. B.
Really nice and sweet
Great chocolate cake
E. W.
Fabulous night crafting. Lovely venue, super friendly owner
O. A.
Went as a family. My wife and I enjoyed it just as much as our 7yr old son. Very friendly, helpful staff. Milkshakes were delicious. They worked around our very tight schedule and fired the pieces in less then 48h.
We now have some beautiful pieces of Dinnerware and wonderful memories to go with them.
M. M.
Excellent as always, great place for those winning children's gifts for the grandparents, teachers mums and dads, plus there's lots of local artists and designer/makers selling gifts too.
Lovely relaxed experience (until my little one turns up to terrorise the staff which they handled brilliantly), great home made food, brilliant value for money £8.00 for a mug is cheaper than buying a ready made and super friendly staff.
As a place to take the kids or just for yourself, it's wonderful.
C. N.
A lovely cafe, really friendly people and delicious homemade cakes. The pottery painting is very popular with three generations of our family!
S. F.
We had Birthday party here. Everything was nice, however, we had to wait for half an hour before previous party left and all was cleared, which was a bit disappointing but understandable. They have very nice choice of pottery. Tools could have been a bit better rearranged, I had to look very hard to find things, half was used and dirty. Paint was a bit watery. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall all was good, nice place to go to.
L. H.
Interesting concept and works really well. The items our son painted have turned out really well. Staff were a bit busy the day we went because of a birthday party but generally we're friendly and attentive
r. k.
Always friendly staff, Tim is always there to give ideas. Great Takeaway kits, Christmas baubles, Personalised mugs. plates great Christmas presents.
K. H.
A great place to take kids, any age, to paint!!!! My son loves this place and has been about 6 times, we have 6 coffee mugs to prove it!
C. P.
A small gem of a place for the creative development of children. A choice of pottery objects is given before the Picasso in them can flourish with their masterstroke. Once completed the object to glazed and sealed, though you have to go back to collect after some time. Excellent for young children.
N. Q.
It was a lovely day and the kids enjoyed themselves. I enjoyed my homemade banoffee cake with a cuppa. It can pricey depending on what item you pick to paint though.
C. J.
A lovely pottery cafe which is great for kids and adults alike. What better way to chill out than to paint a selection of pottery items with chilled music playing in the background and a selection of homemade cakes and pastries. They also run creative workshops throughout the year.
K. F.
Great place. Loads of fun to paint ceramic statues with my 7 year old niece. Although I might have enjoyed it more!
Also great milkshake and croissant.
K.
Love this place. Highly recommend getting a take away kit while you aren't actually able to sit in there due to tier 3 restrictions.
S. Y.
Top marks for a fun experience.
However, i had to wet a tissue to wipe some paint off, which meant popping to the loo for the sink.
I was horrified to see the state of the toilet. Have these people not heard of domestos. Even now thinking of it makes me nauseous. It was filthy and more like something from a shack in a developing country.
I have been no less than 8 times previously. I am not sure i can face going back there ever again.
I certainly would never order any food or drink from Creative Biscuit. To think that my niece has had 3 birthday parties there and we never noticed because we had not used the toilet.
m. e.
A really fun place but I think the bathbimb experience might be for a alitly older child as my daughter who had just turned seven struggled to hear the lady giving the workshop ane was confused at certain points. When attending you should also bring your own apron as they do not supply them.
S. A.
Great place... loved the concept... went there for a birthday party. Awesome service and the food/ drinks were good. I think the parking could be an issue, but it is right next to a station
N. M.
Great on a rainy day. Toys and painting for kids and coffee and cake for the adults. Perfect. Not expensive at all. Friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend
A. R.

J. H.
Nice local craft shop!!! Kids loved the ceramic painting. Small cafe for parents to sit and relax!!! They also host birthday parties.

This may be a little yummy mummy, but I come here regularly - and on my own too! Firstly, the soya cappuccino is excellent and the only place I can find this side of South Woodford that uses Soya milk. Secondly, it's a lovely place to just lose yourself and paint. There are a selection of mugs, money boxes, plates, little figures and other bits and pieces that you can paint as you sip, and then return a few days later to collect your end result, once it's been fired.
The staff are friendly and will show you how to achieve a pattern or something special if you want a hand, and there are reasonable and tasty panninis and baguettes if you find yourself seduced into staying longer. Oh, and lots of bits and pieces to buy around if you need a last minute present.
A. R.
Such an amazing place for adults and children. Ceramics and cake, what more can you ask for? Very cosy with a good selection of ceramics at a very affordable price.
S. “.
Lovely place to entertain children for a couple of hours. The food available from isn't great, bland and dry sandwiches / toasties imo unfortunately, drinks ok
J. T.
