Great service, classy stuff that will last! Definitely the best place to spend money in Central London, if you love the outdoors -- especially fishing!

After fishing happily for over 15 years with my Orvis Clearwater #8 weight recently I found I was starting to tire on the lakes and reaervoirs before the end of day and struggling with presentation. Went to Farlows shop and explained I still wanted to make the long casts but with less effort and good presentation. The assistant recommended the Mackenzie NX1 10' #6. I had never heard of the brand so was a bit sceptical but went with it. Last week I spent the whole day casting from 7.30am to dusk continuously with some of my best ever casting and almost effortlessly. Long casts handling weighty lures and only 2 or 3 back casts. Great advice and great rod.

I visited the Farlows during my vacation in London. Beautiful store with high quality products. The staff is friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Fred who was very kind and provided a great service. Why only 4 stars? I wanted to buy a spinning rod but they couldn't find the hard case that comes with it. In order to make me satisfied, seller proposed to provide me another case that suits the rod, which was a perfect solution for me. I was very surprised that the store manager didn't allowed it and even more shocking, he proposed to take the rod with me and that the store will send the case later. It sounds ridiculous even for cheap store. To make it worse he passed this "my way or the highway" solution through the staff. From a manager of high-end store like Farlows I would've expected nothing less than approaching the customer, explaining the problem in person and trying to find a solution suitable to both sides. I left the store with nothing but a hard feeling. I ordered the rod I wanted in the Farlows online store eventually, it was less convenient but I got a good deal. If taken store manager out of equation it is a great store.

Amazing store in an amazing location ! This Farlows shop offers a lot of high quality products, the place is clean and the employees are very polite. I’ve had to ask for pieces of advice and people made themselves available to answer my questions. Definitely recommend a stop by this store if you fancy fly-fishing and want to see some great quality products. Your wallet may not survive.

I was curious what an English fly fishing store looks like. It’s like an American one with lots of Simms products, but with more Hardy rods and other English reels. I was hoping they would have more customized Farlows shirts as a gift for someone, but there weren’t any. Nice clean store. I would echo what other reviewers have said meaning that there isn’t anyone to greet you. I was there with my wife and no one ever said hi or offered any help. Maybe it’s cause I wasn’t English. Also one store employee couldn’t figure out how to adjust the drag of one of the reels he was trying to sell 😂😂😂

Make sure you stop by before fishing. You will always find something new and interesting to buy. I bought my first fishing rod from this store and I'm still using it. Really good quality. If you need fishing equipment this is the best place around.

Excellent experience all round. I recently decided to take up fly fishing after having read a few books on the subject, so I decided to pay Farlows a visit on New Years day. Mark Windsor and Sean Clarke were both very helpful in sharing their wisdom in all things fly fishing related. They have a comprehensive selection of equipment for all levels (and budgets) and have a number of qualified instructors able to offer experienced advice. Suffice is to say that I highly recommend Farlows and will certainly be coming back!

Went to find some flyfishing gear for my brother-in-law. An elderly gentleman gave us the best of service - friendly, knowledgeable, patient. I had no idea what to look for, but the gentleman understood the instructions right away. Couldn't have had a better experience.

I was very curious what is a fishing tackle store in UK. The location and the atmosphere is very good. So english, I like it. The stock is based on fly fishing mostly, and spinning a little bit. I did not find any goods for other methods, maybe just did not enough dogged. They are focused on accessiories (clothes, shoes) and not on tackles (except fly fishing) If you know that you won't be disappointed in Farlows.
