Long overdue post! Found this place via good ol’ Google back in May 2018. Was hesitant at first as there were mixed reviews about this place but decided to go ahead anyways. This place was easy to find. We dropped our Nikon lens and needed it fixed ASAP. We were told that that it will take a few days to give us an estimate of the repair. In fact, they sent us the estimate the next day. We were told that the repair will take about 7 working days. Pleasantly surprised but our lens were fixed in 3 days and as my better half puts it, the condition of the lens were better than before. Overall, the service has been swift and professional. The price was reasonable as well. I would highly recommend it!

Went for a sensor clean, very swift, and very friendly, sometimes these places can be a bit daunting but felt welcomed like and old friend. All covid precautions in place too. Also, 36quid for a sensor clean and firmware update in 35mins, so much better than the camera spots in the centre of London who just (understandably) want your money.

Repaired my Canon 70D. They provide an estimate beforehand and await a go ahead. Not cheap but they did a good job. Quick turnaround time and 6 months warranty. It was still cheaper for me to repair with Fixation than going to buy a 2nd hand one elsewhere. So worth it. Fixation - highly recommended. If you cannot go in store they offer a postage service but since in London i preferred a in store collection.

My first experience with Fixation. I first called Fixation and spoke with Ollie, who proceeded to guide me to the form i needed on their website, Smooth easy unrushed, Submitted the form and within 30 minutes I received acknowledgement and confirmed the items i was sending, forgot to tick the boxes. I soon received my postage label and away it went the same day, with an acknowledge of receipt of my parcel the following morning of arrival, which was duly followed up by contents acknowledgement. So far impressed as I had read some awful reviews about contents (which did not match my experience) being a Friday I knew i would not hear back until mid next week. Boy was I wrong I received a quote for repair Monday which was accepted. the following day I received another email saying delay of 8 days as parts required not in stock awaiting from Nikon. TWO DAYS yes TWO DAYS Later I receive another email, saying repair complete that's FIVE days from receipt of goods to repair. I spoke with Libby on the phone to settle up and she was very professional and polite and organised my lens to be made available for me to collect Adhering to Social distance due to Covid-19.. Although this was my first Experience with Fixation I hope its the last. (No more breakages) however should I need to have a repair done.. I will look forward to speaking to Ollie and Libby again Great work guys well done.

I am a big fan of these guys. They know their stuff and I find them incredibly helpful whenever I have technical questions. Several times they have gone above and beyond to help me get my kit fixed and back to me in time for a shoot. I am all canon, but I would never bother sending my kit to canon. I find them reasonably priced, when it comes to cameras nothing is ever cheap, let's be honest. I always do my best to use fixation as it is important to keep our photography outfits running.

My camera developed a fault connecting to the lens, I contacted Fixation and asked for a repair. They instructed UPS to collect it the next day, and after the weekend I was quoted a fair price and I instructed them to go ahead. They kept me updated about how the repair was going and any delays that could occur. It was returned to me one week and one day later, cleaned and in a perfect condition. The best service I have seen for some time, the final bill was a lot less than quoted when I asked why I was told the damage was less than thought. You don't often get honesty like that, well done Fixation keep up the good work many Thanks.

Never ever have been less than convinced that Fixation is the top place for getting the top service for your equipment. The team is more than impressive here and one of the best in whole city, rather best in country in terms of service. I brought my camera in during a short stay in London and was worried that the repair process would take forever like in other official Sony repair centers. My broken Shutter piece was repaired in about three days and we were able to arrange international shipping to Switzerland. eMail response times and the communication in general were super transparent and quick. Would absolutely recommend even for people outside the UK in order to avoid some of the terrible repair centers over in central Europe.

I have always sent my equipment away to Nikon for repairs and servicing but owing to the importance of a particular lens that was malfunctioning during a string of shoots, I thought I would try Fixation out. I had assumed that I would be without the lens for at least a week (plus have the costs for the repair and the hire replacement on top of this) but after a perfectly manageable wait in the very cool shop, my lens returned from the 'lab' all fixed and ready to go. I offered to pay for both the time and the replacement part but neither were accepted. Within an hour, I was back using the lens which is working perfectly. This is my first ever Google Review and I have bothered to post it simply because I was bowled over by the quality of service and the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone and they will be my first stop for any Nikon repairs/service going forward.

I recently used Fixation to repair 2 of my Sony A7iii cameras and I was refreshingly impressed by the service that I received. I’ve been to several camera shops in my time and despite spending several hundreds/thousands of pounds with them I’ve never particularly been impressed by the service I've received. When I went to the shop I was assisted by Barry and Ollie and they were both absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Barry explained the process to me in store and kept me in loop via email and SMS once my cameras had been diagnosed by his technician. I made him aware that I had a shoot coming up and he really pulled out the stops to get my cameras back to me fully repaired in 24hrs which I was very impressed by. This has actually allowed me to take on a last minute shoot today which would not have been possible had my cameras not been ready. It’s never an enjoyable experience when you damage your expensive equipment but I can genuinely say that he made things feel a hell of a lot better. I will never take my gear anywhere else to get serviced or repaired in future. Thank you Barry for a job well done!

I have used Fixation for years for both lens hire and repairs as well as a few purchases. Price wise they are pretty good, though never found anything id call a bargain in the second hand department. Going by what other people say, I find the service to be absolutely fine. You can have a look over various things without being bugged. Most high street stores (Jessops one big one) require staff to approach you and try and make sales. I like that in Fixation this is not the case, nor is there any attempt to up-sell to you. Hire service has been fantastic, flexible and stock all in good condition and all has worked perfectly. I have hired variously 65mm macro lens and ring flash, wide angle lenses, tilt shift and even on occasion the 600 F4 for canon. Never any problems. Once you become more of a regular staff will tend to know you by name which is nice. *edit* Follow on, just had my 1DXII and 24-105 serviced (the former was a warranty repair, the latter servicing an old lens) Brilliant service from fixation (you get the fast turnaround if you are a CPS member) and they even now have a sign outside! easier to find as well :)

I originally got quoted a huge amount of money from another camera repair shop in Soho, I went here after declining the ridiculous fee and they did the repair for an astonishing... FREE! It was done in 5 mins. Unbelievable having being quoted several hundred pounds from another supposedly "reputable" store. Couldn't recommend highly enough, great staff, helpful, honest. I've been a fixation customer since 2004 and have purchased numerous cameras, lenses and other equipment from them. I've also had cameras and lenses services, repaired and replaced (on an insurance claim). Also... I have recommended them to over 1/2 doz friends and family who have all been delighted by the service they have received. In short, Fixation is an extremely valuable resource for my business - they get things repaired quickly and at very reasonable prices. Compared to the alternative - sending gear away to Canon - they are an absolute God-send. I trust their advice and expertise and have learnt a great deal from working with them. You might be able to buy camera equipment at a better price elsewhere - but I will always purchase from Fixation because having them as a back up is worth any extra marginal % I might pay on a new lens, camera body etc.

wow these guys are amazing. just last week my 750d shutter developed a fault. I tried Jessops and others but all wanted money up front. Called these guys and Andreas immediately asked me for my serial number and said all free as a recall. Now within a week I have my camera back. He could have easily charged me and I would have paid. I went into Fixation while on vacation in London. I had an 82mm polarising filter stuck on my lense. I had been turned away from half a dozen stores because they didn't have the time or tools to help me. I was referred to Fixation and within 10 minutes they had removed the filter without damaging the filter or the lense. Great friendly service and very helpful!

Rented out camera gear from WEX rentals, - (Great service) Fixation is in the same building which is quite unique in the sense that you can purchase, rent and fix camera equipment all under one roof. Staff were friendly at WEX rentals & Fixation. We noticed on smaller camera accessories such as SD cards, filters and batteries etc Fixation prices were fair, however not competitive compared to some well known camera shops in london. We have not used Fixation repair service so we can't comment how good they are at repairs. (Fixation are approved for camera repairs by Canon, Nikon and Fuji etc)

Sorted out a proper lemon of a lens that I bought 2nd hand and wasn't focussing correctly. Looked at forums and it seemed that there might have been a bad batch of this particular lens, so was a little concerned this issue might be hard to fix. It did take a couple of tries for Fixation to sort out the issue, but I'm happy with the lens now as the issue seems completely resolved and appears to be focussing fine. I'm giving full 5 stars as they only charged me when they resolved the issue and the work was a lot cheaper than I expected. Thanks Fixation!

I visited recently without contacting them before. I had two issues. One problem with a Zeiss lens and a third party focusing screen to replace the standard screen in my Canon 5d3. They said they could not do anything with a Zeiss lens but took my camera and focusing screen to an engineer. After about 10 minutes I was given my camera back with new focusing screen fitted and I was told that on this occasion I didn't owe them anything.

I have used Fixation for lens hire and repairs of Canon DSLRs several times and find them easy to work with, with lots of knowledgable staff in their shop, and on-site repair facility and plenty of stock in terms of lens hire. The shop is targeted towards the professional user, who know what they are after, and is "in and out" in good time. It's probably fair to say that this not a "browsing" and "chatting" shop, but an efficient, no-thrills one-stop-shop, for professional use photographic needs.
