Fran is the best! She altered my dress to perfection. She was so amazing to work with, and reasonably priced. She made me feel so comfortable during the whole process from start to finish. She immediately puts you at ease with her warmth and passion for what she does. I cannot recommend Fran more for alterations. She made me feel so amazing on my wedding day, and I am incredibly grateful for that!

I came to Fran to alter my WED2B wedding dress and overskirt in late 2019. Fran advised it was too soon to have these altered for my May 2020 wedding, but was kind enough to offer a quote from the pictures I sent her. I visited Fran for the first time right before the first lockdown, and she was both professional and friendly, understanding everything I needed altered. Due to the pandemic, we had to postpone several times, and Fran was incredibly accommodating, keeping them with her until our final date, and adapting to our schedule for the second and last fittings. The result was incredible! She both made the dress smaller and the skirt bigger, ensuring both fitted me and each other perfectly, looking like a single dress when together. Thank you so much, Fran!

Fran is one wonderfully talented lady! Fran was recommended to me by Russell at Blackburn Bridal and from the moment I met her I was made to feel at such ease. With the pandemic making the timing for my dress alterations a little tight, Fran was brilliant at getting my dress ready in only 2 weeks! Fran has a beautiful selection of her own dresses but knew my Anna Kara dress well and was able to alter it perfectly :) Throughout both of my appointments with Fran I had such a wonderful time talking all things wedding & being made to feel like the only bride in the world! I had the pleasure to meet Francisca through my friend Stefania (personal stylist and shopper and founder of "One Of a Style") and was love at first sight. I couldn't find the connection that I had straight away with Francisca while I was going around boutiques, sorrounded by all these dresses with no uniqueness. She understood my style and gave me few ideas, one more beautiful than the other. Every appointment was an absolutely pleasure and fun. She is so talented and passionate. Out of blue, she created THE dress, the one I was always dreaming of and it could't be more beautiful. I will never thank her enough to have made me feel like the most beautiful princess on earth for one day. I am so proud to have one of a kind wedding dress!

Fran has done an amazing job on my pre-owned dress. The most sweetest and warm person with a great eye for detail. She listened to what i wanted, made suggestions of her own and completely transformed my dress. There was a lot of work to be done due to the intricate lace detail but the final dress was just perfect. I cannot recommend her enough and looking forward to seeing her again

Fran is an absolute gem! She did a fantastic job for alterations on a wedding dress that was almost three sizes too big on the top... and a little snug on the bottom! Fran is the warmest person too: from the first moment I stepped inside her studio, she made me feel like we had been friends forever. Fran - you're a star! I know some reviews mentioned price was a little high, but for having compared with other seamstresses in London, I can confirm that her pricing is honest and not higher than elsewhere. And what an artist! She managed to make me cry tears of joy and call myself beautiful as I looked in the mirror. I cannot thank her enough for everything!

Fran is absolutely wonderful! She made me feel so comfortable and I knew instantly that she was the right person to make my wedding dress. I loved going to the fittings as it was a bit like catching up with an old friend! Fran is a genius! So talented and creative and also such a warm and friendly person. I will miss going to see her! Fran was recommended to me by a family member and from our first meeting I had complete confidence in her. I knew she would make me a beautiful Mother of the Bride outfit that I would be comfortable and happy to wear and I was right. She just seems to have an eye for what will suit you and offers advice and guidance but also listen too. She works in partnership with you to create your dream outfit. Like many women I have some hang ups about my body shape but after each meeting with Fran I left feeling more confident! At the initial fitting I put on the toile she had made for me to try and she literally created the style on me by drawing with a fabric pen where the panelling would go to create the slimming effect. It was amazing to watch my dress take shape on me! The finished dress and jacket was stunning! I have never felt so good in a dress before. My husband of 41 years said he’d never seen me look as good in anything since my wedding dress! This from a man of few words! Fran is so talented and offers a truly professional and personal service. Her prices are reasonable for the service you receive. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I have already booked her to make me another dress for a wedding I’m attending later in the year and will definitely go back to her when I need another special occasion outfit. If I could give Fran more than five stars, I happily would! I had been to at least four or five other bridal designers before meeting her, and right from the beginning I knew she would be the right person to design and create the most important dress of my life. Fran has an incredibly welcoming, friendly yet super-professional attitude, which is combined with her unique talent and genuine passion for her job. We had many sessions together, sipping tea, laughing and sharing our ideas for my perfect, bespoke piece. At the end, I really felt like being with a friend, and enjoyed the whole experience so much that I can't stop recommending her to other brides-to-be! The dress that Fran designed and made was the stuff of dreams, and exactly like I wanted it to be. On my wedding day, I truly felt like a princess for a day. I only wish I could wear it again! I was luck enough to be recommend to Fran last year to make my Mother of the bride outfit. I had been to several dressmakers and hadn't met anyone who I felt comfortable and confident with their ability. Then I met Fran! On our first meeting she produced several sketches of designs that she thought would suit me all of which were beautiful! She seems so in touch with the look I was trying to achieve. The end result was a truly stunning dress which I felt absolutely beautiful wearing. The fitting sessions were fun, professional and always productive. Fran's eye for design and making something to suit your figure is something I have never come across before. The quality of the dress is outstanding with lots of attention to the intricate detailing. After we set a date for our wedding, I went dress shopping with my Mum but did not find “the one”, nor did I experience that charmed feeling the media leads you to believe is a given… at least not until I was introduced to Fran. I did not have a clear vision of the dress I wanted but I explained how I wanted to feel then showed Fran our venue(s) and she completely understood. The wedding dress Fran designed for me was stunning and the finished product was even better. Fran is professional, reassuring, patient, well-organised and a pleasure to work with – so much so that I asked her to make one of my dresses for our traditional Nigerian wedding as well. Each fitting was a pleasure due to her friendly nature and it always felt like I was hanging out with a friend. I wear a lot of dresses generally but my wedding dress and evening dress were both show-stoppers - I still receive compliments on them months later. I was recommended to use Fran Rios bridal designs for my daughters wedding by a friend after not having much luck in finding a dress in the shops. I took my wedding dress, which was purchased at another boutique, to Francisca for alterations. Aside from shortening the hem, the dress needed major alterations to the bodice, bust and shoulders, which were delicate and heavily beaded. Her work was impeccable and she was a joy to work with. She also created a bespoke veil for me that complemented my dress perfectly, and the dress itself fit like a glove. It takes a lot to trust someone with your wedding dress, but my experience with Francisca was nothing but positive, and I would highly recommend her for anyone's bridal needs!

Besides being an excellent designer, she is a very nice person and she will make you feel absolutely at ease in her place! You won't feel any pressure about timing (as in other boutique often happens) and you will have the rare opportunity to create your unique customized dress. I warmly recommend her to all those Brides to be who love and wish quality on top of everything.

Fran is absolutely amazing and I will be telling all my friends to go to her for their alterations! For my wedding dress she had to attach a lace bolero to a tulle dress, then do some other alterations to the dress. She was able to do it in a few weeks in September and October.
