Reviews of Hoxton Street Monster Supplies
It's a great charity shop with a "theme"! The theme is that it's a shop for monsters which recently opened doors to humans. But the proceeds of the shop goes to Ministry of Stories~ who help young children with their creative writing. There are other similar themed charity shops in the world as well. Also I am volunteering there as a monster shop keeper so I can tell you it's a fun place and we do some roleplay as monsters with our customers 👹
amazing source of inspiration for halloween parties! lots of creative and fun ideas, amazing website too! congratulations for vampire translation and human sacrifice payment idea!
Proprietors were helpful and provided excellent recommendations to fulfill my monster cooking needs. The shop cat was a bit of a nuisance, but eventually settled down.
Products are adorable and delicious, cause is worthy and warming, employee was welcoming and helpful. Definitely worth visiting and supporting!
Very cute store with a friendly staff explaining the products & store to you. Prices are a little steep but you'll feel good shopping there as it's partly for charity as well.
What an interesting place and it supports creative writing for young people. Cannot wait to try my Werewolf biscuits.
Received a gift box for Christmas, came a really creative box, with a plastic cockroach nibbling on my sweets for extra effect. Really went the extra mile.
One of my favourite unusual spots in London. Go buy amazing funny presents whilst helping young people too.
Great shop for a wonderful cause. The store is small but big on creepy charm.
WHY you should look yourself. Scared 😱
Perfect for kids in all ages. Very lovely! Nice stuff
Brilliant little shop selling lots of strange and wonderful gifts. All the profits go towards writing workshops for children. Staff very friendly and funny when I bought my own death certificate. It might be a small shop but it’s packed full to the brim
Adorable little shop with cute products. Worth a bit of your time to say the least.
Amazing, unique experience. So worth taking a look and reading the labels.
My new favourite 🥰
Unique and fun shop, with very nice staff.
Lovely store with friendly staff. I pop by everytime I go to London.
Creative and a great cause. Read the signs - all of them. Read the labels. It is a kick!
Terrific little shop of horrors and for a good cause
absolutely my favorite shop in Hoxton and supports a great cause
"Love the creativity of this shop."
I love this place which never ceases to entertain.
I must say that I really enjoyed visiting the monster shop! The setting is so cool and mysterious and its always fun to try out "tastes of fear", "cubed earwax" or " mermaid eggs"! The whole shop is VERY small but that doesn't make the experience any less fun! Prices were good and they even had a fun feature of writing to a monster!! Really great place!
The monster supply shop is worth a visit
Kids had so much fun
Love the creativity of this shop.
Fun to visit but kind of expensive
Lovely it's amazing
I shop here 👹
Simply the best
A curious and fun store with products for monsters. I couldn't get to know it in depth but it is well worth a visit and why not buy something for our favorite monsters.
Wonderfully imaginative shop! Incredibly lovely people, with a great idea and an even greater heart!
Definitely worth a visit - pay attention to the opening times and buy original things!
The prices are NOT nearly as cheeky as in the Harry Potter Shop & Co!!! Price-performance ratio is right - idea priceless :)
We are loving it :)
PS: the shop is part of a support program for children and is run by volunteers! So go and support by purchasing!
Very nice little shop. Definitely worth seeing with or without children 👍
Such a fun little shop - bring your kids and let their imaginations run wild! Lots of sweets and treats to purchase as well as a letter station where you can write to some very friendly monsters. Keep an eye out for the cat..
We received a very friendly welcome...we were particularly impressed by the invisible cat.
Great shop
So much fun, really amusing shopping experience and beautiful items.
Such a cool store for London. It’s perfect for that unique gift. Highly recommend
Cool Shop. Great experience with my daughter there.
What's not to love about a shop that sells tubs of Mortal Terror and jars of Thickest Human Snot? Hoxton Street Monster Supplies sells this, and other stylishly-packaged gifts for the monster/foodie in your life.
The best part? All proceeds go towards funding The Ministry of Stories, a charity that runs creative writing workshops for school kids in East London, accessible via a secret door in the shop. If you're ever in the area, drop in and have a rummage - it's a completely unique shop that's bound to put a smile on your face.
The customer service is brilliant but more expensive than Poundland across the road. However, this has not put me off from buying things there.
My wife volunteers here, and it's a fantastic program with great goods.
This place supports children's literacy programs, encouraging children to write their own stories and learn the value of reading, writing and general creativity. It focuses primarily on students in need and low-income areas.
To support this very worthy cause, they have a huge supply of monster-themed merchandise which is clever and well-branded. Which child wouldn't enjoy "cubed earwax" (carmels) or "salt made with tears of anger" (smoked salt from Halen Mon) or a nice necklace that declares "UUURRRRGGHH!". Everything is clever and cute yet wonderfully themed. And the shop itself is well-themed too, but if you can't get there, they even take internet orders.
