A magical shop, rather than just a magic shop. The staff have been there for years and (once you've passed the test) will teach you two tricks and then potentially sell you one. Most customers are magicians: amateurs, pros and kids just starting out are well received and supported. This is a specialist shop and an independent shop that develops its own tricks as well as reselling more standard fair. Spending your money here keeps a landmark London shop going.....and we've lost so many over the years.

I have shopped at International Magic for 30 years. I got to know Ron and his wife and of course Martin their son who now runs it. I have spent many hours in the shop which is an Aladdin's cave of everything magic. I have always felt I was among friends when visiting the shop and can whole heartily recommend a visit. If you can’t visit their shop the website has an abundance of amazing tricks for sale , some even have an accompanying video to demonstrate the trick in question.

Went with my 11 year old son. Barry was so kind in showing us multiple tricks and talked to my son about what interested him. I think we must have spent an hour there. It’s a great place for budding magicians or just people that like playing cards. They have hundreds! We had a fabulous time and will definitely be back. I visited the store on Monday after not having worked around the area for about 10 years, when I used to pop in and look around and have a chat. As I'd remembered it, the staff were very funny and engaging, and showed me a couple of tricks of course! One of which I ended up buying! Great little shop. It sells all the usual magic props but also has a good range of books which you can browse. The staff are very knowledgeable and happy to help. This is not a shop, it’s a magic experience where the time seems to have stopped. There are lots of magic props but also interesting books. The staff are very friendly and happy to give advice according with the experience. I can’t wait to see my boyfriend practicing the card tricks! Great shop with extremely helpful staff, they honestly can't do enough to help you. For a magician of any skill level it's a great place to come as they have tricks, books, DVDs, etc to suit anyone. And the prices are really reasonable. They also do lectures that I will definitely be attending. Look forward to my next visit to this shop 👍

This is without a doubt the best magic shop in London, if not England or Europe. The salesmen were super-friendly. They have tons of card decks, tricks and DVDs. You need a present for your nephew? Go there. You want to impress your family/friends? Go there. You are a magician? Hell yeah, freaking go there! It is indeed the best magic shop I've ever been to!

I first went in the international magic shop when I was 12 looking to buy some really expensive magic trick. After asking a few questions the owners knew exactly what it was that I needed. Fantastic service and plenty of dvds, playing cards and gimmicks. A few days before we visited the international magic shop we went to davenport magic shop, and the difference is HUGE first of all, the costumer service is brilliant and you can stay there for hours without getting board. and secondly almost everything is in stock unlike davenports where there wasn't a lot of things in stock. Overall if you're in London and not even a magician but just love magic then this is without doubt the place to visit.

What an amazing little shop. It's right out of a modern day Harry Potter book. The shop is quaint and the chaos that work here are a riot. Very funny. Perfect place to start learning magic or to take a young one with an interest in conjuring.

We are a family of 5. Magic is the favorite thing in the world for our oldest son, Telmo (7). Then, we decided to visit Barry’s place. Since the very first moment you go in, you can fell the magic everywhere and be delighted by every single item in this lovely, traditional and unique shop. No words for Barry and Lisy. They were incredibly helpful and patient to help our kids finding the most suitable tricks for them... besides, they also give them some extra presents... Without any doubt, it has been one of the best moments in our family trip to London!!!

I visited London for 2 weeks from Tampa, Florida and had this shop on my list to visit. I persuaded my sister to visit with me. Well, were we in for an entertaining morning. We spent 2 hours there and seriously spent TOO MUCH MONEY. I met Barry, Martin and Marco (El Bastardo) and each had their own character but each was friendly, helpful and enjoyable to speak with. The shop has every magic trick you could want and some you didn't know you wanted. I will WARN you that these guys are all PARANOID about payment before anything you purchase is revealed or taught. It was quite funny really but I will be back next time I visit London and no doubt spend too much money again. Thanx guys, it was a hoot.

I've been coming here for over 20 years to buy my magic supplies and just gossip about the latest news about magicians and the conjurers art. They sell an amazing mix of effects from simple to do cheap packet tricks (ideal for a child you want to get interested in magic) to the more expensive and more complex tricks that professionals want for their acts. They are happy to demonstrate and Martin in particular is always wiling to give an honest opinion on whether or not the effect (I hate calling them tricks!) is right for you.
