Reviews of Leica Store London Mayfair

Went to the Leica store to see behind the scenes exhibition to the new Bond film. Around 20 black and white prints from the latest film. Also had a nice chat with Tomas who works at the Leica store. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff which made for an enjoyable visit.

Welcoming and helpful customer service staff at this store. I also spoke to some other representatives on the phone and everyone was nice and helpful.
Still quite disappointed I had to pay for shipping just to get a repair quote for my lens.
They also forgot to send me back the UV filter that was attached to the lens when I brought it for repair. This quite surprising and not so acceptable from such company.

Professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very nice store in a great location, be warned once you buy a Leica you will be hooked!.

I often visit the new store in Mayfair when I’m in that part of town. They have regular exhibitions, which are worth seeing if you're interested in photography. The staff are always helpful and friendly, and for a small fee you can borrow lenses to try them out before deciding to purchase. I’ve attended some photography workshops there, which are always great fun and informative.

Leica London always will be my favorite leica store, amazing service & super friendly staff just like the quality of Leica camera and the minute you enter the store you feel all of that… friendly staff & happy customers. Many thanks to all leica team and specially Mr Jakub

Lovely as always, very friendly and helpful. Nice section of new and preowned leica equipment. Also love coming to view the photos on exhibition.

Absolutely fantastic service and attention to detail by Jakub and Lucan; my go to shop for all things Leica.

Every time I call in I know what I am going to get, A great experience, sound helpful advice and service from polite and friendly staff. I travel nearly 200miles to come here and never regret it. A big thanks to all who work there.

Brilliant service and lovely staff, both in person and on the phone. It is hard to recommend this place too highly. I had a great experience buying a new M body and second hand lens from them, including great service on the phone afterwards helping me set things up. Absolutely first class all round.

I visited the Leica store Mayfair earlier this week and was greeted by Tomas. I explained I was looking at the Leica Q2 Monochrom and Tomas ran through the camera and the specifications with me. We also discussed some accessory to make the experience easier as this was my first Leica. Thomas also helped me set the camera up as I was visiting Goodwood Festival of Speed the next day. Thank-you for all your help!

Great service and knowledgable staff.... The first time I went to the Leica Store in Mayfair, I had never used a rangefinder camera, but the staff was awesome about teaching me and making recommendations. I don't fit the "stereotype" of many Leica photographers, but they didn't judge me based on external appearances!
On the service end, they are top notch and great about trying to resolve issues via email. When I had a camera sent back to Germany, they were fast and prompt replying to all communication about that status of my repair. What more can you want?
My only complaint is they sometimes close for holidays and don't list it on Facebook or their website.... Best to call before showing up!

Lovely store with a coffee shop opposite. Really great for checking out the latest gear, whether cameras, lens, binoculars, wrist straps, other accessories. They've got a decent selection of Ona bags, t-shirts and various photography books. Staff are really helpful. Bring an SD card and have a test!

FIVE STAR SERVICE & CUSTOMER CARE FROM LEICA/MAYFAIR
I recently had a very unusual electrical problem on my M9-P and decided to try out Leica/Mayfair.
The expertise and help was top notch. They sent my camera to Germany & it was back in no time at all.The sensor was also replaced at the time as was the leatherette,it was also received a full service and to my delight I was not charged a penny.
All the time my camera was away I had the use of a loan camera.
All this made me feel very special as a new customer,I will of course be using them next time I have a problem.
I could not speak more highly of the staff their and in particular a Mr jimmy Hughes. They were all very knowledgeable and professional throughout.
Highly recommended.

Unbelievably good customer service. All other brands take note! Leica cameras are obviously great too!

Excellent, but no prices on display, or indeed offered, "they are on the website sir"! But good gear if you can afford it. Some good photo prints for sale as well by the likes of Donovan and Bailey, but at prices to make a wallet faint.

The staff are knowledgeable photographers, and unlike some other camera stores, aren't high-pressure. Instead, they'll ask good questions to help guide you towards the camera options that fit your needs best. They are moving across the road, so check out the new store after mid-November 2016.

Super friendly staff, great expertise. I attended one of the Leica workshop sessions during which you are given a basic introduction to photography on Leica, get answers to any question you might have and you even get to run through the city with any Leica model you'd like. Effectively a best practice example for any high-end retailer.

Probably the best customer service in London. I've had an m7 in for service and came back as though thoroughly cared for. And free of charge. Friendly knowledgeable staff who spend time with you. Bruton place ain't a bad place to go either...

Great store and location just off the hubbub of Oxford Street. Obviously great products. But the salespeople are welcoming, knowledgeable, unpretentious and generally helpful. Great customer service.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff make this a comfortable and enjoyable shopping experience - the in-store experts are always happy to help with advice and choices.

Leica is .. well if you're looking here and even just slightly curious, you probably already know what Leica is:
A luxury brand, just like Jimmy Choo's or Coco Chanel - incredibly well designed, well made, recognized all over the world as the finest you can get, high quality, and, well, quite pricy as well. Expect to pay 4000-8000 for a camera here, and a few thousand for each lens you get as well. But if you're shopping here, you already knew that.
What you get is stunning though - a piece of jewelry of elegance and grace, a shooting experience that is nostalgic and functional, stunning Bauhaus design, amazing image quality, the famous red dot around your neck, and lots of bragging rights and random conversations on the street.
This shop offers all that with the true Leica experience - great service, great presentation, wonderful staff, fantastic atmosphere, an air of exclusivity - if you're Leica curious and want to browse, or ready to make the leap or expand your collection: This is a really great place to do that.

Lovely to see historical photographic shops like these still going strong with the quality craftsmanship of Leica. Used to work for Leica at knowlhill milton keynes about 22 years ago was with them for 19 years. Still selling quality products even in this photographic digital society.

The offered lenses are so nice. I just can't wait to buy the Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH. Of course, all lenses and accessories are very expensive. But you usually need money for your hobbies. I think that playing tennis isn't cheaper - not at all!
