Best bookshop in London by a mile. Nothing is too much trouble and they order in anything (even got me something that was out of print once - no idea how!) Brilliant service and lovely staff.

A little far to get to, but a treasure trove of bookish delights for the explorer that makes it to Newham Bookshop. Two different sections, one full of brilliant children's selections (fiction and nonfiction) and the other a plethora of adult F and NF. Such excellent choice for such a rogue little bookshop! They have a little loyalty card, 1 stamp for each £10 and a free £10 on the 10th. Lovely staff and a wonderful place to browse for something that will surprise you.

Silent Peaceful knowledge Treasure!!! Accessible to all diverse people of the World ! Great empathetic support by real human beings in the treasure house of books & Academic or Knowledge-Tools & Games. Has great story books on a variety of topics from children to Adults. One should stop to get inside to enjoy the lovely Knowledge books, equipment,; Friendly Games, Story Books & Science books. I was excited & I enjoyed once inside the lovely Book Stores , which sells new books & tools. The human support & guidance inside is lovingly marvelous!!!💐👌👍

What a treat to move to deepest east London and find this gem amidst the curry houses and discount shops just around the corner! The BAME section is excellent, the Local History section is excellent, and there is an intriguing selection in the Translated Fiction section. I've made a conscious decision to buy at least one in every two to three books I do purchase, from Newham Bookshop. They've been here forty years apparently, and with this part of Newham and its changing demographic with the Upton Park stadium now converted to flats, one feels hopeful for its future - then again, don't just admire it as you pass by, go inside and give them your custom!

One of the last traditional book shops in the area not just Upton Park Newham as well have quite a selection of books considering the size of the shop. Staff of very helpful and will try to order you most books that are requested also a wide range of children's books available at the store and to order

The staff and atmosphere here is peaceful and the staff very helpful. They love a little chat and they love the books the sell. Great place to buy books from even children love visiting the staff here.
